This wonderful family run hotel is an absolute gem. Built on stilts it is is constructed from restored used wood, is tastefully decorated to reflect Chilean arts and crafts and to calm the weary traveller, with lovely bedrooms facing the river and access to a kitchen as well as a delightful independent restaurant and balcony area on the third floor which all guests should take advantage of. We were treated to the best breakfast of our 3 week trip to Chile, the freshest of fruit, yoghurt, eggs, ham, cheese, juice, bread all prepared especially for us. But to top it off and most invaluable was the wonderful Helena and her family who took care of our every need and there were many! She made sure we could access our bedrooms early after a gruelling 16 hour overnight ferry from Puerto Cisnes and was our translator for many other little dramas that pursued us during our stay as two non-spanish speaking women. Thank you Helena!

It was great fun to stay at this culturally unique, palafito hotel. The staff was friendly, helpful and hospitable. Front desk staff was on duty for a long day and so readily available when we had needs. The breakfast was excellent: the space and the food which was scratch made and real. Dinner on site was good. The rooms and bed were very comfortable. Business room was spacious and functional. We needed wifi to arrange later aspects of our trip and this space sufficed. Location was good for our day trips to park hiking on Chiloe
We had some trouble with hot water. When we spoke to front desk, the problem was remedied quickly.
Parking is on street - - mostly ok. We walked about a block with luggage.

Beautiful location, great breakfast and lovely staff.
Heater didn’t work in the bathroom. Also shower took a while to warm up.

staff were lovely and helpful. the location was perfect for walking into town.
we had no problems and enjoyed our stay.

Room was attractive and quiet. The restaurant had food that was quite good, in an attractive setting.
There were some cockroaches in our room, which we reported to the staff.
At times, hot water wasn't available in our room.

Hotel was located at a great location. Friendly and helpful staff.

The location is a bit of out of downtown so it is quiet and overlooks the bay. The restaurant on site for dinner is lovely with a great view. The breakfast room is beautiful and serves a great breakfast. Rooms were well appointed

It was a good location with a beautiful view. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean.
It was extremely loud. The restaurant is on the top floor. While this can be considered convenient, the refurbished palafito has zero insulation so you hear every single footstep above you from the restaurant if you happen to be in the rooms below…. although it did stop by about 11:30.

The location was perfect, beautiful setting on the water. The common area and kitchen were a bonus that we used a lot. The staff (especially Helena) were very helpful and went above and beyond to help us manage a rental car problem. The dinner upstairs was one of our best!
Our water view room wasn't ready for our first night, so we had to move, but that was a minor inconvenience that they notified us of in advance and they also gave us a discount for compensation.

Nice place but a bit noisy. Nice to have a parking. Beautiful artisanal displayed and very good restaurant at the top of the hotel with a great view.
Our bedroom was on the 1st floor next to both the 1st floor terrace (not much privacy) and a restaurant (quite noisy)

We slept in the room with water view, which was very beautiful, spacious and well equipped.
The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast was decent and the place has its own parking lot. Overall a very pleasant stay!

we had a marvelous room straight to the terras, the colours are so beautiful in winter! nice decorated room, cool hotel.
the closed parking spot had really wild dogs, so we didnt dare to put the car there in case of scratches... the breakfast is not very plentiful, but good and you can ask for more.

This is a fantastic hotel, with a fantastic staff, especially Elena, who was a star!! The location is meh within Castro, but great within the island. Breakfast was AMAZING, and they had freshly made bread every morning, eggs and all sorts of delicacies. The views from all terraces in the hotel are great too.
Kudos to the staff who made us dinner at 23h in the night because we arrived too late and too hungry. Excellent, outstanding service.
Sound insulation is poor, and a crying baby could be heard from all of the hotel. My shower was slightly leaky, but nothing too serious. The key system could be improved by using electronic keys instead of a large, bulky one with an attached piece of wood to it.
