We loved this place. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment.It felt like we were the only ones on the whole beach despite there being a family with young kids staying in the apartment next door. The bed was comfortable, there is a kitchen and small indoor living area. There is also an outdoor covered living area with table and bbq and then there is the uncovered deck which was right on the water. There are 2 sun lounges on the deck where we spent most of our time reading and enjoying the view and sound of the ocean lapping at the Shoreline in between swimming in the lagoon. There are kayaks and SUPs which are shared between the villas to explore the crystal clear waters of the lagoon. There is a small convenience store directly across the road stocking basic food and drinks. Rei the lady who runs it is lovely. A larger grocery store, a few restaurants and Cafe are within 5 to 10 minute walk. If you like pizza try the South side pizza which is open Friday and Saturday nights. There are 2 buses which run hourly that circle the island. 1 runs clockwise, the other anticlockwise. There are no bus stops, you just flag the driver down. They will pick you up right outside the front of the property. If you get the Transport Me app and search Cook's Island Bus Passenger Transport you get live tracking of where each bus is. It is an easy 5 minute walk along the beach to the reef pass where you can snorkel with turtles. We went with Turtles Rarotonga from Blazey's. These guys were excellent. They only take small groups(5 maximum) with an extremely experienced guide Bobo. We actually had a private group with just the 2 of us. This place is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
There was very little we didn't like. It isn't a super moden apartment, but is clean and comfortable. There is a spare block next door and 1 day the guy came to do the lawns. He used a whipper snipper instead of a lawn mower which would have taken a 1/4 of the time and then used a blower to collect the clippings. He was there making noise for over 3 hours which kind of ruined our serenity for a while. Apart from that this place was perfect for us. It's not the place to be if you like hustle and bustle. We weren't overly impressed with most of the food we had so next time we will do a lot of our own cooking.

I absolutely loved the location amazing views very private up on the deck not many people go by and only a few steps to the beach below. We could watch the kids play in the water and seen a few whales just amazing.
My only disappointment when we arrived I had booked the 2 bedroom house when we got there late at night the 2 bedroom house more like 2 1 bedroom apartments. There was a separate 1 bedroom room downstairs with own bathroom i must say this was a bit musty as well. Up stairs which you access from under the carport outside there was another bedroom with another bathroom and washing machine which was so handy. As we had younger children first night I slept upstairs with 1 child and husband was down with 2 other boys. This place would be amazing if you had older children you don't mind being away from or if it was 2 couples this would work so well but for a younger family book the 5 bedroom house. I spoke with owner and we just put mattress up stairs so worked out fine but just want other family's to know .

There were gaps in both outside doors (the doors did not meet on closure) that let a constant draught in. The locks on the door handles were also very poor and you had to be careful you didn't lock yourself out. The oven was rusty and unusable.

The location was great and directions were very good. We enjoyed our stay at Arapati Holiday Homes, and especially liked the beach location. We had a lot of rain that meant we didn't see stars or sunsets, but we used the grill and had nice meals on the patio. The rooms were comfortable and the area had convenient well stocked grocery very close.
A few items were missing - no trashcan inside the room and no soap in the bathroom.

The beach is right on your doorstep at this amazing holiday house. Waking up was a joy with views straight out to the ocean, enticing you to get out of bed and into the water! The house is well equipped for enjoying the beautiful outdoors.. the "lounge" is covered but outdoors, taking in the breathtaking views which we LOVED. There are kayaks and snorkeling gear to use and an outside shower to wash off after being in the ocean, so the house remains free from sand. The snorkeling on the doorstep was incredible... we saw turtles and even a 4-5m stingray one morning. What an incredible experience! The hosts are just beautiful people, and we really loved them popping in to say hello and welcome us. This relaxing setting was a real blessing for our family, we can't wait to go back! The Rarotongan locals were the highlight of our trip... and that's saying something considering the amazing views, snorkeling, climate, ocean.... we loved it all!

The 2 Bed property was well presented and Clean. Rooms were nice and airy. Set on a beautiful stretch of beach, with Snorkels and Kayaks to use, was a bonus. Handy little store across the road, with a very helpful and attentive shop keeper.
Deck is the perfect place to entertain or just enjoy the beach.
The Owner was kind and accommodating to our requests.

It’s right on the beach, so we could swim any time we wanted to. Had a beautiful deck that overlooked the water and sand. Primo place to swim! Had a BBQ and full kitchen facilities and free use of snorkelling gears and kayaks. Easy to find and had everything I needed.

We were very comfortable at Arapati Holiday Homes. It had everything we needed and excellent value for money. The view was Superb, absolute beach front Accommodation, shame about the weather. We had an amazing stay at Arapati- great location, not far from everything in Muri, 600m from Wigmore’s supermarket, small shop directly across the road and the best beach on the island right on your back door step. Very spacious, great for families. They provide so much from paddle boards, kayaks, Weber BBQ down to reef shoes in all different sizes to suit. We stayed in the Henry 4-5 bedroom villa. We also met the owners who were great and very friendly and allowed us a late check out to suit our flight time which was very generous. Also wanted to mention they provided heaps of towels more than your regular accomodation. Beds were comfortable and plenty of fans for each room. It is also a Vodafone hotspot which was really handy if you purchase a hotspot voucher when you arrive. Overall amazing place and if we ever get the chance to go back to raro this will be the very first place I’ll go for accomodation. Great value for money. Thank you to the Henry’s 🤗🏝 ABSOLUTE PARADISE!

Arapati Holiday Home located in the best part of Rarotonga if you like water sports, even at low tide good swimming. The house is spacious and comfortable open plan with spacious decks. Very clean and modern .
Convenience stores handy. Likewise restaurants. We thought being close to the main road (noise )would be a problem but you hardly notice it.
Perhaps insect screens on all bedrooms and ceiling fans.

The house kitchen/lounge was lovely , my husband Brent & I stayed in the detached unit which was great and private having ensuite and walk in dressing room was an added bonus.
In need of new pillows and some towel rails to put dry on after getting off line . One extra set of sheets as when washing will not dry on line and a couple of hand towels we brought a box of little ant stations and after a couple of days their were less and less.
Our hosts Jenny & Stu were amazing .

We liked the location and the set-up was great with the Kajaks. The house was well set up too with big fridge freezer space and kitchen utilities a plenty.
Some of the lightbulbs were blown. There was no rubbish bin for the downstairs unit.

Guys, do me a favour and just book it!
It would the the most amazing place you will stay on cook island, you will start your day by making a coffee and sitting in front of the amazing lagoon in from of your balcony, when you will fill little bit hot, you will jump into the water that just 2 meter away.
The facilities have every thing you will need, well enquipment kitchen, BBQ, great shower and the must improtant thing you are first line to the ocean, with a maximum privicay! (The snorkeling from the apartment is amazing, just swim 2 minutes and you will find the magic!)
Its not the newest property on the island, but its more than enough!
