All the staff members were friendly and helpful. For a 3 nigths stay it was perfect for us to discover the Klis Fortresd, Split, Trogir and even take a ferry to the island of Brac.

In reality, this review deserves at least 2 stars because Mrs. Neda did provide us with alternative accommodation for the same price with the option of a late checkout. She also offered us a free dinner at her restaurant, which was really nice and we enjoyed it. However, these little acts of kindness were a bit clouded by the way our vacation started.
The apartment is listed as 'pet friendly', but in our case, it was not. Upon our arrival, Mrs. Neda informed us that the owner of the apartment won't allow us to stay there because we brought our dog with us. When we booked the apartment, we sent a message asking about additional fees for a dog, and I spoke with Mrs. Neda on the phone a few days before we arrived about the size of our dog (for reference - he's a medium-sized dog, around 25-30 kgs in weight). She expressed her worries because of his size and told me that the apartment could be a bit small for us, but seemed reassured when I told her that we live in a small apartment, he is house trained and isn't allowed on bed/couch. However, when we arrived, we were offered an additional apartment, but not in the same area, roughly 20 km away. We ended up agreeing to this offer as we felt we didn't have any other option at that point, except to drive another 400 km back home.

The bed
Organisational skills of management were terrible. When we arrived, no payment was taken, had a big issue with payment which ruined half a day of our holiday.

The apartment was newer, spacious and clean. We had breakfast downstairs in their restaurant and it was just fine every day, everything you wanted was available.
The apartment is away from the nearest beach about 400 m. However, getting to the beach takes quite a bit of effort. The path is steep downhill, and of course it is even more strenuous then uphill. The nearest beach is rocky, partly pebble, very little shade, which is always occupied. You find it hard to get space. There is a shower on the beach, which was welcome as there was no water in the apartment all day and late in the evening.
A la carte dishes are also available at the inn below. We ordered pizza the first day and that was also the last. Total disappointment. Excessive prices (lemonade 35 kuna, in the city a little further 17 kuna).
We didnât eat at this restaurant anymore later, so I donât know what the rest of the food was. Elsewhere in the city food prices lower between 20 -30 kuna.
The big problem was that there was almost no water all day throughout the stay. Which, of course, is not the fault of the owner, but it is definitely a big minus.

The alternative/replacement room, we was given, was great in terms of size and with a very nice balcony w/ sea view.
Location is a bit far from Trogir City Center (45 min walking / 10 min drive), but close to Beach (15 min walking) and groceries.
The host and her daughter are both very pleasant and pragmatic, which we appreciated a lot - e.g. they allowed us a late check-out. The host unfortunately only speaks German, which was challenging for us.
We had a bit of an unusual experience at Apartments Art Vivendis. We booked the room via Booking.com the night before the stay.
During the day of arrival, we received a message in Croatian (which we don't understand) that the room would not be available before 18:00. We replied to the message that we did not understand Croatian but never received a message back.
After a long day in warm weather, we arrived at the hotel at 19:30. Despite this being 1h30m later than 18:00, the room was still not available and the hotel did not seem to be aware of the reservation. After waiting for about 30-45 min, we were shown an alternative room in another unit about 200 m away from the hotel. The hotel (unsolicited) excused themselves that we had booked last minute, but it is obviously not our mistake they marketing/selling a room not available.
The alternative room was great in terms of size and with a very nice balcony w/ sea view, and we accepted this as a replacement. Unfortunately, upon further inspection, there were quite a number of missing items/service e.g. toilet paper, soap, WiFi etc. but there was no water at the site. This may not be the hotels fault, at least they claimed this is a general issue at the island in summer seasons, but it was certainly a major annoyance when one would like to shower following a hot day in either Trogir, Split and/or at the beach.
We called about the lacking items and water and was told a staff member would stop by shortly. After waiting another 30-45 min for the staff member to arrive, we walked back to the hotel and the message had clearly not been communicated forward. The hotel is running a restaurant at the site as well, and we got the impression that the guests of the restaurant had priority to the guests of the hotel.

We extend directly over her our first night stay but she did not delet the higher priced Booking.com inserat. Somebody booked there (for higher price) and the next day we should pay more or leave. So we leave.
After we Leave i watched Booking.com but the Appartement is still available. So she just want more money.
THIS iS A NO GO!
Also she told booking.com that we never arrived there -> to save the Booking.com fees.
You have to know:
- The bed was a couch. You have to like this way of sleeping. (Red room)
- The red room was loud very near at the main street.
No space for liar âđťď¸
