Prachtige suite, gastvrijheid van Lydia en een fantastisch ontbijt experience.
Elke suite in eigen thema, we komen hier zeker nog terug.
Alles was goed geregeld, niets viel tegen.

Sehr nette Gastgeber.

Just lovely and friendly hosts

A hidden gem in Antwerp!
The suite was beautiful and we loved the history of the monumental house with its antique furniture.
The hostess was very friendly and considerate. It felt like coming home.
4.8
Old town house with characterful rooms, tastefully decorated. Very convenient for the KMSKA (the fine arts museum) and a pleasant walk into the historic centre of the city. Easy access to the tram network for journeys further afield or if you're tired. Fantastic breakfast and friendly and helpful owners.
Our room was up several flights of stairs and there's no lift. We didn't have a problem with this but you should be aware of this if you are unable to manage stairs easily.

Everything! the amazing house, garden, location, breakfast, friendly hostess Lydia, …
not the fault of the B&B but a parking spot more close

Excellent breakfast for an additional charge. Definitely worth it as Lydia is an amazing chef.
Incredible design and comfort in the rooms. Very large and decorative rooms with wonderful amenities.
Friendly and helpful hosts who are very responsive in communication and offer local suggestions.
Everything was perfect. I would come back.

It took me longer than I expected to write a review about Au Lit Jerome, because I needed to find the right words to describe my experience and give it the credit it was due.
Some hotels are meant to spoil you in a way that cocoons you against the rest of the city. Like your own little spa that you know you can come back to after a long day of walking in amongst the crowds. We have all been in those hotels, and they are great. But for better or for worse, they are virtually all the same. Then, there are hotels that are an experience in and of themselves. So wholistic and full of originality and beaming with their own identity that staying at the hotel becomes an experience that rivals the rest of your trip.
Au Lit Jerome was that experience for me. I might not remember much of Antwerp as the city in my rather short visit, but the living at hotel is an experience that will stick with me. I stayed in the Hemingway suite. Walking into it for the first time felt I had strayed into a memory from a different era. You are at once immediately aware of the meticulous care put into every nook and corner to give the room so much character and bring it to life.
The cherry on the top are Lydia and Eric - the two lovely people that run Au Lit Jerome. Very much like the hotel itself, Eric and Lydia are both charming, and warm and so interesting. Talking to them and getting to know them was a delight!
Before I end this review, I would be remiss if I did not mention Lydia's breakfast. The breakfast is so good it deserves its own review by itself, but since I have rambled on enough I will just say that it was quite literally the best breakfast I have ever had. Period. It is exactly what a great breakfast should be - warm, comforting, delicious, and wholesome, but Lydia manages to elevate it with a mix of skill and great choice of ingredients.
Antwerp is nice, but Au Lit Jerome will be the reason I will continue to visit Antwerp - not the other way around!

Breakfast was very good. Ingredients were top class and there was plenty to eat.
Room was large and spacious.
Breakfast was late at 9:30am.
No elevator. No air conditioning. Steep stairs.
Room was cluttered and decoration was esoteric, skeleton of a small snake, mounted head of an antelelope, human model with acupuncture points, etc.
