Stepping into Pension Torre della Bitonto is like stepping back in time. This exquisite retreat in Castel Ritaldi is a time traveler’s dream, blending historical charm with modern comforts.
The rooms are beautifully maintained, with an ambience that’s both historic and welcoming.
The owner personally prepares and serves a delicious breakfast, adding a personal touch that makes the stay even more memorable. It’s a comfortable, value-for-money experience that I’d recommend to anyone looking for a stay with character and charm.
Coffee at breakfast is the only thing where I would like to see some improvements.

Camere carine e confortevoli.

4.7
Clean and comfortable unit in an ancient castle. Reasonably close to some of the most pretty villages in Umbria (e.g., Spello, Spoleto, Norcia). Very friendly and helpful hosts, very good breakfast (excellent selection of home-baked cakes!), and easy parking.
Very weak and frustrating Internet connection (the thick walls are not an excuse since we had a strong signal from a third party to which we could not connect). The breakfast felt too “supervised”.
4.7
Tutto perfetto

Torre della Bontonta is magical!!!! Donato and Floriana are amazing hosts. The rooms were sparking clean and beautifully decorated. It was like living in a small hamlet. The little streets within the residence are quaint. The breakfast was outstanding and service was impeccable. Many suggestions on what to see do and where to eat were provided for us. This place rates a 10++. Do not miss it.

Interesting very old property very well refurbished. Breakfast was good with reasonable choice
Our room was large but very empty and bare - just a bed and a single chair. There was plenty of space to add a double-seated sofa which would have made our stay very comfortable and made the room much more attractive. Some art on the bare walls would also have added a nice ambience to fit with the lovely old building.

Great hospitality, beautiful location, super clean room

Excellent breakfast served by the host. There was a large variety of options. Bear in mind it was an italian breakfast, not american or english. So think of sweet cakes, fruit, yogurt, and lots of juice , coffee, and teas.
It is located far away from the main tourist destinations, but is perfect for exploring little towns all over Umbria.

You stay inside a castle wall, rooms were comfortable and had every amenity needed. Breakfast was plentiful with excellent service!

The room was really pretty and it had a small fridge in it too. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was really modern, spacious and clean. The hosts were really friendly and the breakfast had some delicious homemade cakes and even the cheese and salami they had were made from farms nearby too.
4.7
The breakfast was varied and of good quality. The location was ideal for visiting a number of those marvelous medieval cities around. We liked the concept of "albergo diffuso" and had the priviledge to sleep in a real castle! The guests were very kind and helpful.
4.7
It has a super nice location in a medieval fortress, away from the touristic crowds, yet very close by Assisi and Spello. It was just perfect for our family. The staff is fantastic, very helpful and always there to answer questions. Just outside the castle there is a hidden gem restaurant called Osteria Della Torre. This is a must try while there as the food is just from heaven and their staff is also amazing.
The sink in the bathroom was clogged and internet signal was not great, however these things didn’t put us off. Some internet detox is always a blessing.

Lovely, atmospheric old castle in a tranquil location. Lovely and very helpful staff, quaint, well appointed rooms,, very peaceful, we would love to stay again if we are in the area.
