This villa is exceptional! It was even bigger than we were expecting and was immaculately clean throughout. The main living area has panoramic views across to the sea! The AC was a life saver in the intense heat wave, the beds very comfortable and the kitchen had all we needed. We didn't use the garden simply because we were out every day exploring the area, but there are tables, chairs, sunbeds and even a pizza oven for guests there. Villa Sally is about 20 minutes (by car) north of Sorrento in a quiet hamlet next to a small but very well stocked grocery for all essential provisions. 7 minutes walk up the hill is the restaurant Zio Sam - again with breathtaking views acroos to the sea and the BEST food we expereinced in our stay. You need a car to stay here, but with a gated entrance and parking space next to the property this made parking safe and easy. We loved the huge swimming pool about 15-20mins walk up the hill and the clearly marked hike to the top of the nearby mountain behind that (you can see the cross from below!) We found Sorrento quite busy and noisy so were so glad we stayed here, but we could easily visit for the shops, (great underground parking in town) the steps down to the sea, the cafes and restaurants and the marina for ferry boats to Capri. We had day trips to Pompeii, climbed Vesuvius, saw Naples, Positano (VERY busy) and Capri during our two weeks here and loved it. Highly recommend Villa Sally and the surrounding area!
It was pretty perfect, but it would have been nice to have had some water in the fridge for our arrival as we had a long drive across Italy to reach Villa Sally. All our other accommodations provided this, which was a nice (unexpected) touch, especially in the heatwave!
