A very impressive building in the centre of the old town. Room was very comfortable and warm and we were provided with a very typical Italian breakfast and excellent coffee in a beautiful breakfast room.
Host was very helpful and provided a parking permit so we could park for free outside in the very narrow street!

Antica Biblioteca, Fermo, Le Marche. Oct.18th, 2022
This B&B is managed by Matteo, a descendant of the family owning the Palazzo. Our room was on the ground floor, breakfast was served on the piano nobile. Stairs not a problem. This B&B is located among the winding medieval streets of historic Fermo. The day rooms we passed through, are are appointed with historic family photographs, cultural items and of course the library. We enjoyed learning about the family’s ancestors and finding a resemblance between Matteo and his grandfather’s portrait.
Room: Queen bed, plenty of room to stretch out, bath is huge with a decorative marble tub. Breakfast is very good!
Parking: a pass explained by Matteo, allows you to park on the nearby streets. Attractions: The Roman Cistern (Cisterne Romane) is unique to the city, this is an enormous reservoir of 30 barrel- vaulted rooms, built under Augustus in AD 41-61, to supply the town and ships sailing from its port. Tours are arranged through the information office in Piazza del Popolo.
Some of the the cisterns were used used by Fermo’s water company until 1982 and others served as bomb shelters during WWII. This is an amazing place! Also the Pinacoteca Civica is worth a visit for the “Adoration of the Shepherds” painted by Rubens in 1608. In the evening Fermo has good flood lights throughout its historic quarter illumiating for example, Torre Matteucci. Capolinea Ristorante is very good for dinner. For dessert their chocolate soufflé with pistachio heart is outstanding!

Michele and the ladies were excellent hosts, they provided us with an earlier check-in than planned, made us feel welcome, helped us with our questions. Although we were the only guests during our one-night stay, they provided us with a larger-than-normal breakfast. The building is absolutely beautiful, every space you walk through is worth staying long and enjoying it! All is kept clean and in shape, done with good taste and style. Highly recommended! Parking in the steep and narrow streets is not easy, but the hosts provide you with a permit to park for free in zone 8.

Great breakfast!
Beautiful House!

The bed and breakfast is located right in the centre of the historic town very close to the main square with a good assortment of bars, cafes and restaurants. A most unusual and fascinating building. The room we had was small but cosy with everything you need with the option of using a beautiful peaceful sitting room and kitchen area. The breakfast was good with lots of choice. The owners were friendly whilst maintaining a good level of privacy. Having your own entrance makes the property feel like a home rather than a hotel.
Being a very steep town parking was difficult on a very steep street. Whilst there is nothing the owners can do about this, a little more information perhaps on where you can park initially prior to check in.
