We are in a long distance relationship. So being able to meet and immediately live the city to bond away from the noise

We absolutely loved the location of the cottage, surrounded by nature yet just a few kilometers from the city. It offered the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. We were able to drive back to Gaborone for a late dinner and returned without any issues.The bed was super comfortable.I also appreciated the attention to detail, especially the special towels for makeup and shoes, which added a nice touch. The cottage was well-equipped with everything we needed, including shower gels, toilet paper, a blow dryer, and all necessary kitchen equipment. The picnic basket was a lovely bonus. Additionally, having our own private pool made the stay even more special as we are both introverted.

Our overall experience was quite positive, but if we were to say anything negative; it would be that we wished there was one long sofa in the living room instead of individual chairs, as it would have created a more cozy feeling. We also noticed that the bathroom sink might need some repair; we struggled to remove the stopper after putting it in, which was a bit inconvenient.

Lovely place overall, would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Acacia Villa, the accommodation was immaculately clean, comfortable and beautiful, perfect for a romantic getaway with your partner or a friend. I really liked that the accommodation has all facilities you may need including a fully kitted braai area and kitchen.

I would have preferred a couch over the single seater chairs, otherwise i loved everything about the accommodation.

It is a good place to get away from the city and get in touch with nature and reset. It was easy to find and I truly enjoyed my stay.

Great place to stay

The arrival was very easy. The cottage was very well equipped. We loved the barbecue and that there was everything needed to use it. We did some cool bird watching from the picnic spot by the river

The isolation. The surrounding countryside. The quiet. The wildlife. The view of the river and the picnic area around the braii

Just a mistake. When we arrived the beds had not been separated into twin beds , but this was resolved for the remainder of the nights.

The room setting is beautiful 🤩 The security is perfect, staff response time is excellent It felt like a city on a farm, it’s absolutely perfect.. The best self catering place I have ever been at!!❤️the homeware is 🔥 Very clean , perfect home away from home Im definitely coming back to Kingfisher🥰!!!!!

Breakfast, Had over expected a full english breakfast 😂 with eggs and bacon but the continental breakfast did all the magic The water is a bit salty, advisable for one to bring a bottle of stil water for drinking My room was too close to the wheelbarrow spot so the movement was a little too much and uncomfortable

Had a great time and an absolutely splendid experience.

I generally love nature,so just being able to immerse myself in it so close to the city was an absolutely amazing experience!

I wouldn’t say it was a dislike, but it is a pity that the water levels were so low due to the lack of rain so we couldn’t get the full Waterside Cottage experience.

Brilliant stay with a much needed getaway from the bustle of the city life.

The serenity of the place and cleanliness. It was also quite clean. The security is amazing.

Would have preferred to have more breakfast options besides just cereal. Some eggs and bacon to cook for ourselves for instance.

Kingfisher Villa was fabulous, couldn't have been any better.

We stayed in the Kingfisher Villa and it was stylish and had everything we could possibly need. We loved the bread that was provided for breakfast. The rest of the breakfast was also perfect. We regretted that it was winter and we couldn't try out the plunge pool. We enjoyed our overnight stay so much that we stayed at Waterside Cottages again on our return trip in Nguni Cottage and enjoyed it as much as the Kingfisher Villa.

There was nothing we didn't like. We have only given our hosts a good instead of an excellent because we didn't meet them but Cilla was very helpful and friendly when I contacted her.

Stunning accommodation in a beautiful and tranquil setting.

The unit was beautifully styled. The kitchen and bathroom were very up to date. There was a lovely view. It was all very clean. We would have loved to stay longer and will certainly visit again if in the area.

We noticed that the fridge door was scrapping on the floor when opened. It wasn't a problem for us but it might be a problem for our hosts.

Everything about the Villa is exceptional. Location, the property is so clean and beautiful inside..minimal finishings that look stunning and give off a cosy feeling. The views and nature surroundings are absolutely breathtaking!

It was an excellent stay

The area on its own, its a perfect spot for relaxation an peaceful. The sounds of the birds and water makes it even better Garden is excellent for children to have a lil play around

At the picnic spot, i think just on the water edges if you could make a standing spot, where your visitors can stand and take pictures of water and the birds. that will make it a great fill..

I recently had the pleasure of being one of the first people to stay at the new Acacia Villa at Waterside Cottages, and I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. First and foremost, the location of the property was perfect for a quick getaway from the city. Despite its proximity to the city, we felt like we were miles away from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by nature and stunning views. The interior design of the villa was outstanding, and every detail was carefully thought out to ensure functionality and meet all our needs. The fully equipped kitchen was out of this world, making it easy and enjoyable to cook meals during our stay. The bedroom and bathroom were also well thought out, with the shower opening into the pool, adding to the overall luxurious experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the plunge pool, which was the perfect spot for a quick dip to cool off during the hot afternoons. We also loved the amazing barbecue area, which was just by the pool, allowing us to cook delicious meals while enjoying the fresh air and beautiful surroundings. Overall, I cannot recommend Waterside Cottages and Acacia Villa enough. The level of service provided by the staff was exceptional, and we felt so welcomed and taken care of throughout our entire stay. If you are looking for a luxurious and peaceful getaway, this is the perfect spot for you. I will definitely be returning in the near future.
