La Mela Blu is a delightfully clean, comfortable and special B&B, where the breakfast that is served on the spacious, private balcony is super fresh and delicious — the bread is baked each morning by Carmela. She goes out of her way to make sure everything is just right for her guests; she gave us all the info we needed to get down to Amalfi and back again as well as to nearby restaurants.
The bus ride down to Amalfi and back up was scary as it negotiates about six hairpin bends but the drivers are expert at how they do their jobs.

The owners were so friendly and helpful, really caring people. The property was beautifully decorated and the apartment was comfortable and had everything we could need.

The host was very nice and accomodating. She gave us tips and recomendations as well. The room that we stayed in is very clean and tidy.
The locations is a bit far from the center and you have to make sure that you know the bus schedule or other means of transportation getting around the places you want to visit.

Wonderful host, comfy room with full amenities and one heck of a view. Recommend to anyone looking for a unique place to stay on the Amalfi Coast.

The hosts were absolutely nice, they are super charming and welcoming people, they received us with a slice of her speciality ricotta cake which we loved. Even if there’s some breakfast and water included they offered us some croissants for 1,50 each and they left them outside with other sweet stuff.
Is a dream place with a huge terrace and lovely view. Parking is right in front of the property.
There’s places to go have some food nearby and a market as well.

It had fantastic views and was a great property to stay at with great cooking facilities. Id reccomend a scooter or car if staying at this property as it is pretty difficult to get down to the beaches without one.

Property was spacious and clean with a beautiful view of the ocean. The hosts were very lovely and took very good care of us.
The location is a 30 min bus ride to the Amalfi coast and it’s quite a journey to get to the property.
The property is on a main road so you can hear the cars and buses driving past the window.

The view was incredible and the breakfast too! Carmela’s brioches in the morning we’re perfect! The room was very clean and have everything you need for your stay.
We had a small problem with our air conditioner on the first night, but Carmela and her husband were very helpful and found another place for us to stay for the night.

Very nice view, good breakfast and very nice host.
That we suddenly couldn't stay for the first day, so we had to stay at a nearby b&b for one day. The hostess fixed this for us which made it okay though.

There is great view of the ocean from the garden outside! There is a 20 to 30 minute bus ride from the location to downtown Almafi where you can take the bus or ferry to other towns. The hostess is very helpful, her and her husband even drove us to Pompeii one day for a trip.
The breakfast could have been better. The only thing that was provided were croissants and they were not free. There was no protein like eggs or sausage. There were nutella packets that you could add but given the fact that there are no places to eat close by I think they could provide cheese or salami or turkey slices to make a sandwich with the croissants even if were charged a fee at the end it would be worth it. There was a fridge with some drinks. There was a coffee maker but no milk for coffee. We were told we could buy food but since there is no supermarket close buy that was not realistic. I think since most people leave in the morning to visit the town or do activities, breakfast should be provided. Also the windows blinds were stuck open so having better curtains would help. The curtains were very sheer so the sun would wake you up very early. It would be great to have a ceiling fan although the air-conditioning works well, in the summer months it can still be a little hot.

We had a great time at Carmela’s place, and she and her husband were very helpful with check in and advice to make the most of our time at the Amalfi Coast. The apartment was clean and had a well-equipped kitchen.
Only minor downside is the location: We experienced some issues with the location, as the bus to reach amalfi city was full once it came to Mela Blu, and taxi to the city would cost 40 euro. We advice to take that into account when planning your stay at the amalfi coast, as driving can be challenging. One solution could be to rent a motor scooter to get around.

The property is located on the coastal cliff and the views are mesmerising. Lovely host Carmela showed us free parking with the best views you can think off :) We stayed in self-contained flat which was very modern and clean and every morning Carmela would offer us tasty pastries for breakfast. We got to try local wine, cremoncello, some teas and croissants that were in the kitchen prepared for us. Overall brilliant experience. Perfect stay during Covid because you dont need to interact with other guests because you have your own sunny lounge where you can have your breakfast with sea view and you can even sunbath if you wish. Cars were passing by but I guess thats the charm of being on the coast.
Ravello is not far and we recommend to visit this area. Unforgettable experience!
Thank you Carmela! You are great host :)
We liked everything.
A tip for travellers - dont rent the car but instead come by public transport and then rent a bike because parking at Amalfi beach was impossible, even in the evening. We even tried Minori and Majori beaches but with no success. Carmela was very nice and next day organised taxy for us but I think cheaper and more comfortable option is having a bike. We will return again but this time will be more prepared :))

We loved our room and the attention received by the host, Carmela, who is very, very kind. The breakfast is superb, you can really eat a lot of good food, and the homemade cakes made by Carmela are incredible. The room is impeccable with a great private external area, excellent room and bathroom, everything very clean. There's a market nearby which is accessible going down some stairs for 5-10 minutes in the streets. Another advantage is that La Mela Blu is 1 hour distance from Pompei and there's a bus company that passes in front of La Mela Blu and takes you in one way (8 euros) or in a round trip (something like 15 euros) to there.
Everything is superb, but the location for who is without a car is difficult and have disadvantages. La Mela Blu stays about 400 meters of altitude and the only way to get there is by car or bus with a obligatory passage through Amalfi. So, if you want to go for Positano, for example, you need to get a bus to Amalfi and only after that go to Positano. And the bus schedule is very restricted, with buses passing each 1 hour and 30 minutes. The great advantage of the location is that is near (by car or bus) of some incredible trekking places starting points, like Path of the Gods and Circuit of the Tre Calli. Besides that, Carmela and her husband are very kind to take you to these starting points by car in the morning.
