Idyllic. Everything was pretty much perfect. From the breakfasts to the dinners, the friendliness of the owners, the tranquility of the location to the views from the terrace, I can't think of a single thing that could be bettered.

The landscape and nature surrounding the place, the food, the staff, and the swimming pool! It's trully a peaceful and magic place to disconnect. The little villages nearby in Sierra de Gata also deserve a visit.

it such a nice getaway. we arrived late night, it was already dark - so in the morning we were surprised by the location.
owner offered us a dinner - just for two of us - we have been the only guests that evening. salmon was one of the best we have ever had

An amazing retreat and relax. This hotel is both luxurious and homely. It is quite simply beautiful.
I didn't like leaving, and will be back.

The room was large and fairly comfortable. Dinner & breakfast were both quite good. Very quiet location that would be fun to explore in better weather.
Need signage to direct visitors to reception. Wifi needs a booster. Lanscaping plants & landscape lighting needs a bit of attention.

The hotel is situated on a woodland hillside overlooking the mountains and forests of Sierra de Gata, teeming with birds, including red kites and eagles, and the property lives up to its name (tranquillity). The owners and staff are very welcoming, providing an inclusive breakfast, and serving an excellent three course meal, including wine, beer, coffee etc for an additional 20 euros. Villamiel is within easy walking distance, where there are a few eating places (and friendly locals) if you fancy a change. Plenty of footpaths and picturesque villages nearby.
