I stayed in a large suite, 3 bedrooms. Ideal for families. Lots of space and very clean with a lovely sea view. It was a very relaxing stay with very comfortable beds. A few reviews complained about the air conditioners and lack of hot water (you do have to leave the water on for a few seconds / 1 minute and then it heats up) but I did not have this issue and neither did my friend who stayed in the room next door. The infinity pool area is beautiful. The food is good quality and nice. All in all, it was a pleasant stay.
Staff are generally quite slow and confused. Room service takes some time.

Location, F&B offerings , view from the deck
Poor maintenance, value for money , lack of privacy in the ground floor suites

My room was invested with cockroaches. In stead of an upgrade they downgraded my room

Felt very secure with security on premises. Enjoyed the many restaurants and live entertainment. The staff was very friendly and willing to assist.

Nice rooms with all the expected facilities. Extremely good and friendly housekeeper. Give him a promotion!
The promised well-working air condition system was a ventilation system at best. The bad smell on the second floor and in the elevator, of which previous guests were complaining back in February (see previous reviews) was still there and could not be solved, despite various attempts to see into it. And the quality of the drinking water (brushing teeth), pool water (not enough chlorine to kill all the germs) and tap water used in ice cubes is not of a constant level (hotel management not to blame, except for adding enough chlorine in the pool or using bottled water only to prepare ie cubes). The result: getting sick on the last night of my stay. Friendly advice: be even more careful than I was during this stay. I suffered from a real Mombasa Revenge...

I didn’t eat breakfast as we checked in late night due to sleep couldn’t wake up for breakfast time
How come you are paying so much of money and you don’t get Wi-Fi in your room, when you complain you are being told that there is no IT technician at the moment

We were a group of 5 - our apartment was upgraded ( without asking for it). The Ocean front balcony was a great bonus and we spent a lot of time on the balcony - watching Fort Jesus especially at sunset & sunrise. Also there was a cool breeze all the time - this was a bonus also as Mombasa was very very hot - this was my 2nd visit and no complaints -

The rooms
The fact that we cdnt wear what we want they told us to go cover up

The food was stale. We suffered food poisoning and did not eat anything for a whole day! The supervisor and chef were polite but we reacted to the food. The hotel should consider cooking fresh food for guests since this is an expensive hotel
6.0
The reception by Valerie and Esther as excellent.
The facilities and the Sea views are top notch
The Arabica Restaurant service was very poor except for the drink service by Joseph. Joseph offered an exceptional service.
The staff at Arabica dinner service didn't serve to the expectations one would expect from the hotel.

Great location, excellent facilities, plenty restaurant options, an amazing Spa, availability of hotel transport for a fee, beautiful pool, pleasant housekeeping and front office staff.
A bit more training for the drivers. One driver who took us to Fort Jesus on 6 January started driving before everyone was in the shuttle and not everyone seated. It could have been a disaster.
