About this house rental
Truly a wonderful home for family gatherings on your own private beach. Its 3800 square feet on over an acre of land provides ample space for family activities in its large living and dining areas while the loft and study provide getaway locations for quiet contemplation or children's play. All have a spectacular view, particularly at sunset, of the bay and Provincetown harbor in the distance. One of the few places on the East Coast where the sun sets on ocean waters. The kitchen has ample room and facilities for preparing meals and snacks for large numbers. The separate master bedroom suite with its king bed has a large bathroom, large closets, and a studio alcove for kids. The 'guest' wing has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a full bathroom. There's a recently-renovated bedroom downstairs with ensuite. Daybeds in the loft, and a fold-out sofa in the study provide additional sleeping locations. Wireless internet access is available throughout the house. If you need to work while away, enjoy the ocean-facing study, with printer, 30 inch monitor, keyboard, and everything you'll need to be productive.

The pictures and description on VRBO dod not do Betsey's property justice. This is a phenomenal house with plenty of sleeping space, great size common areas and just beautiful decorations. We especially enjoyed all of the large picture windows and many deck levels to watch the beach during morning coffee and evening drinks. The kitchen is well stocked and you really don't need to bring anything except for your groceries and favorite beverages.
You take a private path from the house down to the beach stairs and you are there. The beach is extremely private and a great place to relax. Betsey has so many water toys, bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas. We brought all of this ourselves and will save ourselves the hastle next vacation.
There is great proximity to great restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. My favorite is less than 2-miles away called Salty's. They have great breakfast and lunch sandwiches, pastries, bagels and donuts. It is a very boutique like general store with a very great selection. P-Town is minutes away for their options. Our favorite was Wellfleet where there were great resturants and shopping and was a little more low key.
This was our first time vacationing on the Cape and this was a great experience. We have for years gone to Montauk, LI but this is a close competitor.
I highly recommend this property and Betsey's dad Gordon was available to answer any questions promptly.

Up on its bluff, with sweeping views of the sea, it was inviting, clean and bright, and the three generations of our extended family settled in happily right away. The main living area, with its huge windows and rockers, was nicely integrated with the kitchen and dining areas; perfect for when a bunch of us were inside doing different things. Every bedroom had what it needed. There was plenty of hot water; the heat pumps worked; the wifi was good, and never went down.
The landscaping around the house was a pleasure as well, offering nice surprises like a hidden playhouse and swings for the kids. From bikes to paddle boards, umbrellas and beach chairs, it was all there, and in good shape. The thoughtfulness and generosity of the owners was evident throughout our entire stay, and we were grateful for it.

This was by far one of the best properties we have ever had a chance to experience. The house is spacious and spread out in a way that is excellent for families travelling together. The kitchen had everything you could ever imagine needing for cooking and the game room and toys were wonderful for our 12 year old son and my 1 year old niece alike. The views-from every room and the decks of the whole bay were stunning. The house is beautifully decorated but feels warm and inviting and the access to the private beach through the gardens and dunes made us really never want to leave. The location so close to the National Seashore ocean beaches and Provincetown made it convenient when we did venture out and the bikes and kayaks available added some adventurous fun. We loved long walks on the beach with our dog and watching the sunset and the stars from the deck. We are trying to find a way to return here -despite living in a different part of the country-it was worth traveling for 2 days to get here!

We were traveling with another family and the layout of Betsey's house was perfect for all of us to have our own space. The views are beautiful and it is a 2 minute walk to the stairs to the ocean and private beach. the stairs are right next to Betsey's property. The beach was beautiful. we all enjoyed our stay and Betsey and her father were very responsive when we had any questions.

This home, location and all of its amenities were more than we could have hoped for. Absolutely beautiful views out every window. Plenty of space for the whole family including two young grandbabies and two young dogs. We spent most days on our private stretch of beach, and evenings around the large dining table(s) inside or out. The house was equipped with everything you could possibly want or need on vacation including pac n plays and a high chair for the baby, paddle board and kayaks for the big ‘kids’.

The serenity this location provided was truly magical! One of our favorite vacations as a family! Panoramic views of the bay and walk to your own private beach - honestly we couldn't get enough and yearned to stay longer! The sunsets were spectacular...walking throughout the scenic neighborhood and beach all amazing - so many gorgeous areas and paths to discover. The home itself was well designed, comfortable and can fit large families especially with little ones (many smaller beds that we did not use). We were a family of 5 - 3 older children and my husband and I and the space was perfect - enough extra space for all of us to spread about or congregate when we wished. Fantastic areas for remote work as well with views from every room! There was every beach toy imaginable for us to use, and the kitchen was stocked with as many tools as one needs! Multiple outdoor areas to sit and lounge and grill and gather. Communication with the owner was phenomenal. We are trying to figure out our schedule to come back to experience this one of a kind property again! Just WOW!

A magical location
We absolutely loved our stay! The location is out of the dreams - perfectly situated right on a gorgeous secluded beach. The house is extremely spacious with absolutely everything you could think of necessary for a comfortable short or long stay. Our son loved playing with the toys at the house and all the beach toys available for use as well. The communication was quick and easy. We would love to come back whenever we plan on a Cape Cod vacation again!

a perfect home for kids
This home of is absolutely stunning, with wraparound views of the bay that invite you to feel like you're on the beach every moment of the day. We visited with a 1.5 and 5 year-old and for the children the home was a place of wonder, astonishingly well-stocked with all manner of indoor and outdoor toys and games (both active and sedentary). This home had more than everything needed to deeply enjoy every day of our stay, regardless of weather.

Justin and Betsey's house was absolutely amazing. The view of the beach from the deck is breathtaking along with the beautiful home itself. Magnificent!
This home is truly magnificent. My husband and I stayed with our seven children, who were in heaven with all of the high quality toys and activities for kids of all ages.
The panoramic views of the beach, Provincetown, and the stunning sunsets completed an absolutely memorable stay.
The owners are kind and attentive, and the property is very well kept and clean.
We felt as though we were in the middle of a nature reserve. We saw beautiful birds and even a fox.

Our party of six each had superb space for both camaraderie and/or privacy with four bedrooms, a loft bedroom and a den plus numerous decks and the beach.I would recommend this rental for families with children or several couples or a group of friends as it will work beautifully for any of them. Magnificent house and location!
Betsey and Justin's house is indeed spacious and quite special, with a large master bedroom/bath at one end adjacent to an extensive multi-level deck that extends along the back of the house (the bay side) and a small front deck. The kitchen, dining area and very large living room lie between the master and two queen bedrooms that share a bathroom and can be closed off to make their own little wing. Stairs leading to a large attic bedroom (perfect for kids) are on that side as well. The view from the windows along the whole back of the house is magnificent and overlooks the bay, all the way to the tip of Provincetown. The kitchen is brand new and has every convenience. Downstairs there's a large exercise/tv room and another bedroom with its own bathroom and outside door. The garage contains every land/water toy one might want to enjoy: kayaks, SUP's, bikes, and inflatables. The garden is lovely and the bay is just down a set of steps - a truly remarkable location. We enjoyed our stay a lot, in spite of a few "beginning of the season" glitches that the owners did their best to make up for. (I doubt anyone else will have the same issues - they should be resolved by now). It's a wonderful house that can accommodate many people comfortably, with enough space and separate areas that no one gets in anyone else's way!

This house was in a perfect spot. You can watch sunsets on one side and sunrises on the other. Steps to the harbor. The house itself is a dream - large but cozy at the same time. All the cooking , playing and reading essentials. We would come back in a flash!

A High School Reunion on the Outer Cape
It had been 57 years since my first visit to the Outer Cape and the beauty of North Truro. This week brought back a lot of old memories. The house provided the perfect spot for entertaining old friends and acquaintances from my teenage years. Our group of 3 adult couples had a wonderful end of September stay on the Cape. The weather cooperated and the house was perfect.
The new improvements to Wi-Fi coverage and signal strength were much appreciated, especially as relates to streaming on the upstairs and downstairs TVs. It also seems to me that additional shades had been installed in the west facing windows of the dining area and great room. (My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights last September with our daughter and son-in-law when they rented the house.)
The cleaning crew had done a good job and the storm shutters had all been returned to their stored positions. Hurricane Maria's glancing blow from Thursday was barely noticeable.
My only comment regarding a suggested improvement has to do with the overgrown vegetation surrounding the decks and walkways (front and back) to the house. The gorgeous deck views of the Bay and P-town were largely obscured by the untended shrubs and bushes. I would estimated that a good 2 feet of new growth needs to be removed from this vegetation in order to restore the clear views of the Bay from the deck seating areas. I'm afraid that the height and size of these shrubs require that this type of maintenance now be done on a regularly scheduled basis during the course of the growing season. The walkway to the front door on the east side is extremely overgrown and the lights which are positioned to illuminate the walkway to the front door do not seem to be operating.

Superb renting experience!
We are just returning home from our rental in Truro & cannot say enough about how impressive & outstanding was the house, better than we could have hoped for. As it is late October, it was absolutely secluded. It seemed it was just my Wife & me and the entire bay right outside. The whole place is amazing, with a great fireplace and a deck that is mind-blowing, just the whole of Cape Cod bay stretching out in both directions, Provincetown in the distance, and (because of the positioning on the horn of the Cape) outstanding sunsets every night out over the water(!) The place is idyllic, really romantic & peaceful. All we could hear was the ocean & the wind. It was actually quite cinematic, it was so lovely. There were no boats moored, at all (that we could see), in the bay, so it was all just ocean and sky...incredible. Excellent water for seakayaking with seals (& no fear of motor boats!). Excellent wildlife with seabirds and hawks and rabbits.
We slept 12 there & entertained 17 easily. Great grill on the deck, huge. The kitchen is also huge, a ton of counter space and two sinks, two refrigerators. Also, which was very nice for us, there was an unusual number of lights and dimmers, so it was easy (& fun) to dial in to the perfect mood. The master bedroom has a massive, comfortable bed with two decks off the room. We slept & awoke to the sounds of the sea, which is a real treat. This was a (probably) once-in-a-life splurge for us, and I can honestly say it was money well spent. We will always and fondly remember our time there. As to the owners/renters, they are highly professional, detail-oriented, and extremely kind people. We hope to one day revisit this home, & highly recommend this house as a rental property.

Eight members of my family spent an extraordinary 4-day vacation at this wonderful property. It is a stunning house perched on the dunes overlooking the bay. There is direct access to the beach. The house is equipped with a fun flotilla--kayak, sunfish, paddle board--beach chairs and umbrellas. It is luxurious inside and out, furnished for comfort and fun, surrounded by decks, one with a professional quality grill. I can't recommend this property more enthusiastically. When you arrive, you will gasp at the views, the grandness and comfort of the house, and you will not want to leave once you settle in.

We could not say enough about how much we enjoyed staying at this fabulous house. We did not want to leave, there was so much to do. It checked all the boxes, clean, comfortable, spacious, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The owners were very pleasant to deal with and we would highly recommend this house to anyone. The view and sunsets were magnificant. Long walks on the beach, wine tasting at the local Vineyard and a visit to the quaint Provincetown made our stay even more memorable. The house met or exceeded our expectations in every respect. The waterfront views and access to the beach were wonderful. The house was both elegant and comfortable. The kitchen was great for cooking and very well stocked. A lot of recreational options were provided-- stationary and outdoor bicycles, a treadmill, ping pong, etc.-- all in great condition. The house would work well for families of all ages and compositions, including those with young children or teenagers, empty-nesters, and retirees.

Great house, great location, great owners
I stayed at Justin & Betsey's house back in September with my wife, 3 children (3.5, 18 months and 2 months), my mother and her husband. Leading up to the stay, I always found Justin & Betsey super responsive to any questions I had, always getting back to me within a day max. When we finally arrived at the house, wow! My wife has been going to the Cape since she was a child and I've gone about 8 times previously and this was by far the best location we've ever stayed in. The house is beautiful and in an amazing location looking over the bay and across the P-town. My kids loved having the beach so accessible and they also loved the play room upstairs! The house was great for a family with kids (and grandparents) because we could keep the kids in our "wing" and give the grandparents some peace and quiet in the morning. The fact that it came fully stocked with toys & books was also a huge bonus. I really have nothing bad to say! We can't wait to get back.

A week to remember!
North Truro is the best kept secret on the Cape, and this home on the water has to be one of the best in the area. It is easy to understand the draw of a beautiful, fully-equiped home on the water that has everything. What may be less obvious is that this is the best part of the Bay for swimming, as the water is warm, calm, and deeper than in many areas where at low tide swimmable water can be a long way off. The beach is completely uncrowded, even at peak times, and the location, 15 minutes equidistant from the buzz of P-Town to the quaint, old-style charm of Wellfleet Harbor is exactly right. If you are looking for the perfect Cape stay, look no further. We'll be back!

Great Family Vacation Spot
This is a very special vacation spot. The house itself is a jewel. Sitting tucked into a dune, it provides privacy yet commands amazing views from almost every angle. There is ample space for eating and lounging comfortably together in a large group, both inside and outside on the deck, yet the house is designed in such a way that allows for individuals or smaller groups to get off to themselves if they need some quiet moments. The kitchen is the best equipped I have been in and we have rented both in the States and in Italy. And for those whose work must accompany them, the view from the office must be one of the most relaxing/inspirational one could ever find....if you must work while on vacation this is the spot to do it in!! Provincetown, just minutes away, is charming...good restaurants, galleries, and shopping. You can even go out whale-watching which thrilled our 4 year old granddaughter. As if all of the above were not enough, the owners were extremely communicative and helpful, hosting from afar their lovely vacation home. We would love to stay again in the future and would recommend it to anyone we know visiting the Cape.
