location is very nice, the ocean view is fantastic.
the hotel has a great territory, tennis court, kids playground, outside pool and inside pool. The inside pool with warm water, popular place;). The dinner restaurant is beautiful, the dinner food was very tasty, all the dishes that we tried were perfect. the staff pleasant and very helpful. Comfy beds. For the breakfast there was a Gluten free option, not much, but 2 kinds of plant based milk were there.
the rooms are big but a bit old. There was no safe in our room. the breakfast food was not tasty at all. The pancakes were terrible, difficult to chew, gluten free bread was stale and hard as a stone, croissants and most of the pastry were stale. And after such a tasty and perfect dinner I was surprised of the breakfast quality :(

the location is the best in the island I’d say. amazing infinity pool is exactly what you need after a day full of trekking. Also the restaurant is really good and the breakfast was huge and full of delicious treats. I really recommend this place.

The open concept design and beautiful views of the ocean and mountains!

excellent service, location and special star for the restaurant!

Comfortable stay inside quieter part of the island. the views were amazing! The food was great as well.

Amazing view, very friendly and professional staff, nice indoor and outdoor swimming pool, very good breakfast with a lot of variety
the spa area was a bit smaller than expected and the sauna quiet cold, the Turkish bath did not work properly. the in-house restaurant had quiet high prices and very few vegetarian options

I am sure in Summer, the pool would be lovely.
This is just not a 5* hotel. It has 5* prices (a side of fries is €8.50) but the service is simply not up to scratch. In general, the staff are quite ‘put upon’. This was by far our most expensive hotel but in now way reflective of our experience over the rest of experience over the rest of our time on the Açores. A real disappointment.

Best part of being at this resort is the walking trails going east and west along the rocky shoreline. The views are unreal.
Rooms are modern and clean, reminds me of a cruise ship room for some reason. A lot of breakfast options.
If you are driving maybe a good stop for a night or so but there’s probably more interesting places to stay on the island for the price.
Expected more of an immersive “spa” experience. One indoor and outdoor pool and two small saunas seemed a bit lacking.

location, modern design, nice rooms, cleanliness, spa & amenities, breakfast
the food at the restaurant and most of the servers were very slow and not attentive. please serve authentic Azores dishes - would be much better!

Pool and Facilities were amazing!
Gym could use an upgrade.

The hotel is ideally located in the center of the island. Very modern and elegant. Excellent variety at breakfast. 2 pools and wonderful external environment
Bar food is very expensive and pizza is no good. For a five star it has some small short falls and expect to have water readily available and included with the room. Overall it is still highly recommended.

The view was incredible as well as the many amenities! If we go back to the Azores we would definitely stay here again. The staff was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond for us. The view was amazing, the pool was very large. The "natural springs" were very cool, it is a bit of a walk off property and you have to walk on rocks to get down into them but they were very fun, the waves can be rough so be careful. The bed was extremely comfortable compared to any other hotel bed in Portugal. It was soft, they also have a mini fridge in the room. You can also buy water downstairs at the check in desk which is helpful so you don't have to make extra trip to the gas station before heading out. Also in close vacinity 10-15 minutes to some good restaurants. You definitley need a car to get around as well.
The only thing we noticed, was the bar/restaurant was supposed to open at 11 but didn't open to closer to 11:30.

The most amazing view, also we had the good fortune of being there during the week when a beautiful white mare was left to pasture day and night just between the hotel and the ocean. A proper fairytale fantasy :)
Apart from a few badly behaved french children there was an indescribable silence. Only the waves and the seagulls were there, only to make you more and more calm and relaxed.
We don't usually use the pools anywhere (also, in Azore only fools stay for more than 5 min at their own hotel) and we only used this one for very brief moments, two times (the first afternoon after check-in and one more time), but the water is for children age 5 and down, you can't swim at all. The view is, of course, nice.
Also, the sun beds were by far the most uncomfortable that we have ever ever sat on. Hard as a rock. Impossible, really. I don't think a small soft mattress is so expensive, we've had 10 times better sun beds in very poor and remote places.

Nearly all good
Why can’t they do something about the bathroom. I hate other people seeing what I do in the bathroom

Modern, spotless, comfortable rooms with fridge and an electric kettle. We had a large balcony with sea and pool view. The indoor pool and spa are nicely appointed; the restaurant and bar offer good service. Ample parking. The perfect place to relax after sightseeing in the northern coast of Sao Miguel. There is live music at the bar on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Very good breakfast
I didn't like leaving :(

Beautiful pool and rooms. Stunning views and nice to be so close to natural ocean pools
Bad location if you don't have your own car. The restaurant and bar are extremely expensive and there aren't any other places nearby

We loved buffet breakfast! Loved the ocean view! Loved the staff. Loved buffet dinner! Love really everything. Our only complaint is we wish there were pillows on the pool chairs - they are hard and uncomfortable.
The pool chairs…

The location and view were exceptional.
An indoor child play area might be useful

the view and the pool were perfect. The walk down to the beach/tide pools was also very convenient. good food and very friendly staff at the front desk. Arranged everything for us and we're extremely accommodating.
the communication with the spa was basically non-existent. Every time we went down to the spa to book a massage no one was there and it said to send an email. We sent an email and they booked us a 3pm appt. We got there at 250p and no one ever showed up. They emailed us at 320pm saying they were running 10 mins late (already 20 mins late) and then by 330 still never showed up and we had to leave so never got our massage. it was pretty unprofessional in my opinion.

The restaurant was pricey. We paid 4€ for a simple coffee

Everything about the hotel. Staff (very nice and welcoming), great facilities, wonderful room, excellent breakfast (breakfast room staff included), beautiful pool, great bar, very nice indoor pool, enjoyed the turkish bath very much, location was good (but then again, being a visitor at S. Miguel, most possible locations would be), overall excellent hotel.
The buffet dinner at the restaurant. Only ate there they night, very poor, only two dishes, codfish not bad (but with seafood in it, which is bad for an "only choice" fish dish), pork chop not nearly as good as I eat at home, desserts all pretty common, drinks definitely overpriced. Paid about 28€ per person for this... Would have gladly paid, if the meal were worth it. It wasn't.
