Beautiful apartments and the food at the Tamarind restaurant is excellent.
5.0
We were very happy with our stay and would recommend especially for families as the rooms are very large. The Tamarind restaurant is also very good.
4.5
This hotel has the best ambience of any hotel in Mombasa

The rooms were very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The gym is quite good and overlooks the pool and the bay. The pool area was my favourite. such a well maintained pool, great view of bay.
It was a bit pricey, and didn’t include breakfast. The other pool was under construction, so a bit noisy and we didn’t get to use the pool with swim up bar, but the pool that was open is gorgeous and was not crowded.

The views are pretty good from the room, the pool and the breakfast area. The room had three accesses: one from the hallway, another at the balcony and another leading to and from the pool and breakfast area. Same key unlocks all doors. I appreciated this.
My room didn't have hot water in the shower throughout my stay and the air conditioning in the bedroom didn't work. The balcony is cleaned but frequently gets littered with wilted flowers and the table gathers dust pretty quickly in the dry season. Cold water from the mini-bar is chargeable but they do provide you with 4 smaller bottles of water free of charge. You'll need to put those in the mini-bar if you want free cold drinking water. 4 bottles is too few - especially in the hot dry weather. I'd appreciate an unlimited water supply - a water dispenser with hot, cold and normal would help.

The place is so beautiful and such a lovely surprise. The view from the balcony was so breathtaking especially watching the sunset. Will definitely visit again.
We should have been informed about breakfast not being part of the hotel room booking. We would have included it

the quality of toiletries was poor

The staff were really friendly and professional! The room was super clean and beautifully decorated!
4.5
The rooms were very nice and clean. I loved eating at the restaurants.
The televisions in the bedrooms did not have wifi, therefore did not work. The bathrooms had no hot water.

Good sized rooms, comfortable beds , full kitchen with stocked mini bar, central location but relaxing setting
Food in Tamarind restaurant is not at the level of pricing! Inadequate portions for huge prices ! A soft crab portion costs 35 USD alone!!! Unbelievable for the portion, you will have 3 portions to fill up !...

The layout and proximity to many facilities

When you are torn between activity on the Island of Mombasa & the Pleasures that the Mainland Nyali can provide, this is the best hotel to stay at. It’s a massive complex, yet you get your custom feel around your chosen hotel suite. I liked the color pallet in the rooms – very impressive, Very Private, Good Views of the creek, great staff who have me a massive late checkout!
Nothing really.

Great facility with a fantastic 5-star restaurant onsite; that ginger pudding is to die for! Service was superb --I particularly remember Gladys --thank you! We were supposed to stay there for a week and then proceed to Malindi, but decided to extend our stay by another week. It felt more like home away from home. We were in a 2-bedroom apartment and it felt more like a house --large with a great view from the balcony into the bay area. The rooms were cleaned daily (thanks Felistus - our cleaning lady); and they were sprayed for mosquitoes and beds made fresh daily. The front desk staff were also exceptional. I wanted to hire a Prado for a 1-day to/from trip to Malindi and it was last minute but the front desk were very helpful and referred me to a nice Car Hire company. I also needed to print some documents for personal reasons and they printed those for me. They were very helpful. It's also near (10-minute walk) a nice supermarket where you can buy everything if you decide to cook on some days. I know where to stay now next time I am in Mombasa; we'll definitely be back. Thanks Tamarind Village - you did not disappoint.
There were afew minor things like not having bright/reading light in the apartment. The ambience was nice and calming, but if you wanted to read a book at night, it was impossible --lights were too dim. But I learned every apartment is different and owned by individuals so they furnish according to their individual taste.
There were monkeys daily hovering & playing on the balcony every morning; was entertaining, but something to be careful not to leave doors/windows open if you're not there.
There was abit of construction on our side of the complex --an apartment nearby being renovated and it was loud & noisy at daytime if you decided to have down time. They did have a notice in the apartment about the noise though, but it was a distraction.

Beautiful location, huge, clean, comfortable apartment, good food, exceptional staff. They went above and beyond to help me buy a ticket for the SGR and arrange transfers for me.
