We loved our stay in Sami Hostel. All adventurous travelers should stay here. It’s located in a refugee camp, it’s absolutely safe to walk around and a shared taxi stop is right in front of the hostel, it takes only 5 minutes to get to Jericho center and it runs very often. It’s a perfect place to see the real life of Palestinians. Sami hostel has fast Wi-Fi, basic facilities but you find everything you need here. Owner is friendly and very helpful - he picked us up when we arrived which we appreciated. The view from roof is absolutely gorgeous.

Samis hostel is in the most perfect and central location in a very well known Palestinian neighbourhood called Aqbat Jabr. There is a warm and friendly Palestinian community outside the hostel with shops and a restaurant. Buses run frequently from outside the hostel to the city centre of Jericho. Sami is a friendly host and the hostel offers a comfortable lounge area. The room was clean, the bed comfortable with air con.

Eye opening experience visiting the city. Perfect place to stay. Would highly recommend. Amazing staff. Safe and great location.

The family and staff at Sami Hostel are very very welcoming and helpful. We got to share an iftar there and Saleh helped us get a taxi one time when we needed a ride back to the Hostel. All in all we had an unforgettable time in Jericho.
The Hostel is the in a camp and a 30 minutes walk away from the city center, which is a lot during hours of peak temperature. But taxi and busses commute regularly and is not a problem if you are willing to pay.

Very friendly hosts, made us coffee when we came and gave us all the necessary information about Jericho and public transport in the West Bank. Cozy common area. Bakery and supermarket directly across the street.
Located in a refugee camp, the neighborhood is a bit sketchy. People in the street are friendly in general, they greet you nicely, but you can tell they are not used to foreigners. Some kids were mean though and one threw rocks at us while walking in the street during daylight. The hostel itself needs renovation and it was not clean at all, especially the bathroom. No shared kitchen despite stating there is one. Given the price, overall bad price:performance ratio, but since there are no other budget options in Jericho, they can afford it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sami Hostel in Jericho. When we arrived, we were greeted with exceptionally warm and friendly service from Saleh. Our room was spacious, simple and met all our needs. The location is only a 5-10 minute drive from central Jericho and is very close to the beautiful Wadi Qelt. We would highly recommend Sami Hostel. Shukraan for our great stay, Saleh and the team!

Very nice moment, the owner is very warm welcome !

It was super cheap and very close to the Dead Sea. I could see the real life of the town/village, and got an authentic experience. Hotel had a new comfy matracess and the owner was very helpful.
It is not even bad thing, but if you are not used to Arabic prayers at the night and very early morning, you might get awakened and stressed :D Hotel is closeby to a mosque.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Sami Hostel! Sami was a super nice and welcoming host! The hostel was easy to reach and the rooms were confortable. In the evening we were invinted to break the feast of ramadan and had a very delicious dinner. We spend the evening together with Sami, his family and friends and with guests from the hostel talking and playing games. Also we received great tips and recomendations from Sami around the area. He made sure we always felt safe and very welcome. Thank you!

The family-like atmosphere in the hostel made us feel very welcome the minute we walked into the door. Sami was very flexible with our wish to switch to a private room which was comfortable. As it was Ramadan, we were invited to have dinner with the other guests and friends from the area. We had interesting and insightful conversations and enjoyed spending time with everyone. The hostel is a great location to explore Tiberias by foot and go hiking e.g., to the nearby monastery. Everyone we met in the neighbourhood was curiuous on where we came from.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the owner, Sami, is currently not located there, but his sons carry on managing the hostel, doing it with a lot of love, care and excitement. We very much enjoyed our stay, the company of the others, the people and the kindness in the area.

It's a big multi storey hostel in Aqbat Jaber - out of Jericho proper but in really authentic and interesting neighbourhood. Taking a big taxi to Jericho is 3 shekels. There is a big bakery in front as well as other shops. People and staff are very friendly and helpful.
Can get a bit noisy in the evening and there is a mosque next door - extensive call to prayer at 4 am.

Cozy family-run hostel in a friendly neighborhood of Jericho.

Personel was nice. In neiborhood was very tasty bakery. If we asked we got blankets and hot water to tea.
In hostel was cold and wifi didn't work in room. And water in bathroom was cold.

Sami is a great guy! Very open and friendly. He'll be able to give you all the information you need for your stay.
It's nice to sit in the lobby with a tea or coffee chatting with Sami or browsing the phone or computer.
Like the other hostels in Jericho it's a bit out from the center but a shared bus will take you there quickly for 2.5.
You can walk to a monistary close by. It's a nice walk about one hour.
It's time for a bit of maintenance on some parts of the building.
