Great stay - highly recommend this cottage

Great location, just out of town, right in the countryside. Farm was interesting, fed the poddy calves, and there were friendly goats and chooks. Home cosy and comfortable, king size bed amazing. Log Fire completed the experience. Will definitely go back. The Alexandra region is also very interesting, lots to see and do - it is cold up there in the winter.

Excellent and relaxing family away experience.

Host was very friendly. Our stay was peaceful and relaxed. We were lucky to see the bon fire and shared mush mellows with host and their kids. Feeding animals were really fun experience for my kids.

Adequate accommodation for the price.

The farm aspect and being only 5 kms out of town. The wood fireplace and accommodations were rustic.

it was difficult to get a internet signal and the wifi password didn’t work. There was no kindling for the fire and the dishwasher didn’t work. There’s no TV or radio in the property.

We liked the quiet location and bird life. We appreciated being on a farm for our short break away from the city.

The comfy bed and the historic house in a farm setting.

We would have liked a more up to date sound system and a tv. Wifi was very erratic. Also there was no usual supplies we have come to expect like pepper and salt.

Staying at Alexandra farmstay is like staying within the warm embrace of a big Country hug. Perfect!

Staying at Alexandra farmstay is like staying within the warm embrace of a big Country hug. Loved the location, the home itself, the beds (super comfy!) and the overall warmth and vibe of this stay. My young kids (toddlers) absolutely loved feeding/ patting the animals, playing in the sandpit and swings and just running around the property. The house is well set up for a family and provides the perfect opportunity to reconnect together. We have already decided we would like to make it an annual thing. So Neri and family - you'll likely hear from us again soon :) Thanks so much.

Peaceful, cozy family-friendly farmstay

Loved for the kids to be able to pat and feed the animals, and collect eggs for our breakfast - a very novel experience for the city kids! Hosts were lovely in helping us out while we were there.

Exceptional

The place was perfect The only thing I can fault was there was nothing supplied to play music on so I purchased a Bluetooth speaker. The radio had no signal either. Everything else was wonderful and I'd definitely recommend it

Superb

There are many things we really enjoyed at our short stay - Neri and Hylke are very nice hosts, there are fresh flowers in every room to welcome us, fresh farm eggs and milk, very clean and comfortable beds, our kids got to even experience the goat giving birth, and feed the animals every day. We loved our short stay, and hope to come back one day!
