We had a lovely relaxing weekend away. Very enjoyable cozy cottage.

The property was close enough to the beach, in a quiet secure area. Kitchen was well stocked with all utensils needed for cooking, baking, braaiing etc. The bedroom sizes are decent. Bathroom is modern.

It was the first house in the complex and view of the gate - so we could hear all the cars going in and out. The back garden could do with a bit of a clean up and trees could be cut back to make the space more inviting. The floors of the house could use a good clean.

Stay was not bad. There's room for improvement..

Cutlery was good was sufficient.

- Main bed headboard was loose - Second bedroom - under the bed was not clean - behind side pedestals. not clean. Dust and spider webs - Outside back yard was untidy - Heater in main bed not working

Great if you just plan to use it for sleeping.

We were not their for a big part of the day but it was ok house and value for money. Was clean which was great. And they left towels which was also kind.

Pillows were rock hard and no coffee machine which was really disappointing. Shower did not have much pressure.

It was relaxing.

Beds were comfy. Safe and modern. Close to mall and attractions. Dishwasher, washing machine and dryer and braai provided. Inventor to watch TV during loadshedding.

There was Stage 6 loadshedding 4 hours at a time. The gas heater did not work. There was little blankets provided, it was extremely cold. When we arrived at the house we did not notice the horrible stench of cat pee in the King room. The pee was wiped up and the same towel was rolled up and left on top of the bed to be used. This made the blanket and the bedding stink. This was absolutely disgusting and off-putting. I did notify the Manager Louis, his wife was kind enough to bring clean towels and take the stinky one away and she had to also take the blanket away as it smelled of cat pee. She brought us another of her own, which we also could not use, as it was full of pet hair and dander. The gas heater came on for 5 minutes and went off and we couldn't get it to work the whole stay. Please also note that there is no gas stove provided in the home, so if you have small kids you are unable to warm up food or make tea/coffee etc when there is loadshedding. We were out of power for 6 and a half hours on the 1st night and could not even have tea/coffee. The pillows were extremely hard.

Trip from the UK to say goodbye to our Sister.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location and in a very secure complex. Louis, the cottage Manager and his wife went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect and even left us a beautiful flower arrangement with a lovely note of condolence for the loss of my sister Carole. Choosing Carole’s Cottage was by chance but my Sister would have adored it as we did.

The cottage is cozy & comforta and loadshedding ready.. Definitely value for money,I will be back.

Being familiar with Hermanus, I was happy to stay in such a quiet ,clean and secure complex. I was even more delighted to learn that an Inverter with a battery back up was available in the event of loadshedding. The couch / seating lounge area , as silly as it may sound , is the draw card and by far the most comfortable area in the house. Simple, neat, effective. Loved the open plan setting and high ceilings with the dining table right next to the window, overlooking the beautiful Protea tree. Just makes one feel relaxed. In addition to this, it was comforting to know my car was secure in the garage, that has a direct entrance to the kitchen area.

the back up lighting, is too dim.2 lights are not sufficient. Bring a torch along.

Comfortable and relaxing stay

The cottage was amazing and well equipped for our family. The beds where very comfortable. It was definitely a comfortable home away from home experience.

The pillows were a bit on the hard side, perhaps supply soft and plush pillows for those who prefer such.

We had a good stay.

The cottage was good and the furnishings were also quite complete. What we missed was a good wokpan.

During the power outage (loadshedding), it was not possible to use the Wi-Fi. In addition, it was very annoying when loadshedding took place in the evening hours. Only one charging lamp was available. This could be overcome by using a battery or battery pack. It would be nice to have a comfortable garden set and not one made of concrete. The house does have some overdue maintenance.

We had a great time and as ladies were even able to use the weber to braai..first time experiences.

With loadshedding, just add better portable lights or candles. One or two of the Magneto lights will do because the ones you have a very low lighting

It feels like a home away from home! Everything was perfect. Louis who assisted us were amazing. If we needed his help he attended to us immediately! Excellent location, Very Safe!!! Everything we needed was there. Carole's Cottage is Highly recommended by us!!

Lovely time, beautiful furnished and close to everything, I'll definitely visit again

It was a very nice and comfortable stay. Everything you need was there, loved the fact that there's cards and books for times of loadshedding.

There was a lot of sigarette buds in the backyard from previous stays. Wi-Fi provider was faulty but was sorted quickly.

The pictures on the website were true to life The house is a decent size to comfortably accommodate two adults and two children The location is nice with easy access to shops and main roads

was close to the winehoper and the beds and linen was amazing. loved the heaters in the room.

decor was awesome and facility was nice and clean

the fact that it was at the gate entrance. it was not too bad but it was nosy with cars coming in and out.
