About this house rental

This is a beautiful vacation rental home in the heart of Cotter, Arkansas, the "Trout Capital USA," home of the gorgeous White River. Cotter is a historical rail road town and the rail is still in operation today. This is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath house. You will be just a short distance to some of the best trout fishing on the White River. 2 min. to Cotter Big Spring Park and boat launch, 15 min to Bull Shoals Lake, about 20 minutes to Norfork Lake and about 30 minutes to the Buffalo River. You can see the location of the house on the map or Google maps. The house has been remodeled and is well stocked. Master bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed and has a 32" flat screen TV. The 2nd bedroom also has a 32" flat screen, reclining chair that is great for reading or napping , full size bed and twin bunk. Living room has a full size pull out bed and a 50" flat screen TV. Other amenities include cable TV with over 100 channels, internet, books, DVD/Blue-ray player, movies, games, fully equipped kitchen, coffee. Outback you have a large outdoor covered patio with a gas grill, table and chairs. Out the front door you will find a nice covered porch with a large wooden rocking chair and sitting chairs. Parking is street level in front of house or parking in rear of house with easy stroll to back door and much more. You will want to pack your camera for all the beautiful scenery, wildlife and of course for when you catch that record trout. We are also located near Bull Shoals Lake, Buffalo National River, Norfork Lake and Norfork River. If you have any questions about our property or the area please reach out to me. This morning while packing to leave we said, "We will definitely stay here again." Cottage is so clean! I love the decor. Beds comfortable. The washer/dryer amenity was great! Having TVs in living area and bedrooms was awesome! We personally loved that a train came by house twice a day because we love trains! If you don't want to hear the train, the owner has provided excellent sound reduction extras. Joey is a very kind man. That is a blessung anytime you stay in a vrbo. Highly recommend Cotter Rock Cottage in Cotter, Arkansas, trout capital of US!

Very clean, had more than we expected-spices, zip lock bags, deep fryer and grill, high pressure shower with nozzle hose , “outside towels”, games, white noise maker at each bedside, plenty of hangars, to name a few. Decor was outstanding for a fisherman. Very near the White River.

We had the pleasure of staying in this well cared for home. Delightfully decorated and close to so many oudoor activities. Our favorite thing about this home? The relaxing front AND back porches. The host, Joey, made sure to keep in contact which was very much appreciated. Everything we could possibly need was furnished for us. We just brought our clothes and groceries. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect place to stay I had a planned 2-day guided trip. Working with the hosts were very easy and they are very accommodating. The place was clean, plenty of room for 4, maybe even 5 people, had everything you might need for a few day stay. Thank again for everything!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cottage in Cotter, it’s really larger than it looks, we stayed 5 days and the covered deck for grilling had to be my favorite wish it could’ve been cooler but I loved it, I picked up a little fan at the DG and was set, we would definitely stay here again, very well stocked with anything you need to cook can’t wait to go back. Thank You Joey and family for such a nice clean home to stay in.

From the time of the reservation until check out, the owner initiated and maintained communication. He was very focused on making sure we had any relevant local info and answered a couple inquiries within minutes. We were in Cotter to fish the White River-as we’ve done for years. The location is ideal to access several launch and wade in locations. The cottage was very clean and well maintained and as portrayed in the listing. The rear access makes it super easy to unload all your luggage and gear. Grocery stores and restaurants are minutes away. On our next trip we will surely look at the availability of this property. Historical older home. Great spot for fishing. Good parking in front and behind the home. Having all of the channels is a huge plus during football season. It’s a great day to catch big brown trout and then come in a watch a football game.

Such a nice quiet place to stay. Close to White River & Crooked creek white Bull Shoals, Buffalo river & Norfork lake easy drives. We didn’t come for fishing but found ourselves in a different water hole everyday. It was great to know we had comfy beds and a homey environment to return back to each night. The host was thoughtful and helpful too!

Our second time to stay at the Cotter Rock Cottage. Home is clean with all the comforts of home and room to park our boat trailer. Perfect for our fishing weekend. Joey called to check in with us before and after our stay. Great communication and was able to accommodate our request for early check in.

My 12 year old and I stopped by here for a weekend stay on the way home from a baseball tournament. The location was great and the property manager was a pleasure to deal with. We didn’t have time to fish this time but the location is great for visiting the many rivers nearby. Highly recommend for a smaller family as it has a great master bedroom and then bunk beds for kids.

My family and I stayed at this cottage in Cotter and floated down the Buffalo River. We decided on this listing because it had a lot of great ratings and it did not disappoint. Great little place. We were able to fit five of us (2 parents, 17, 15 and 12 year old). Joey was awesome in reaching out to us personally prior to our arrival as well as after we left. Great experience overall. We would definitely come back.
