About this villa rental

Villa/Country House with breathtaking mountain views, nearby several white sand cristal water beaches and golf courses. The property is surrounded by other large properties. Villa/Country house with 180m2, inside 6 acres property, located at very calm protected area (National Park of Arrabida), with large private swimming pool (20x40ft), barbecue and outside dinner facilities with outstanding mountain views. The outside lunch/dining area is covered and fully equipped for 6+6 persons with outstanding views to mountain and swimming pool. The house is surrounded by gardens and grass. Large car parking area. There is a football field in grass (35m x 12m) .
The National Park of Arrabida's flora is unique in the context of Europe. Some areas still have the 13th century vegetation type of Europe's medieval forests.
There are hundreds of trails surveyed by forest guards; 5 beautiful nearby beaches (4km); three excellent golf courses (4-15km); another 3 golf courses (50km by motorway); horse riding (5km); dozens of excellent fish restaurants (4-15km - Azeitão, and Setúbal); wine cellars (Lancers and Matheus Rosé, at 4Km); fishing boats rental (Setúbal,15 km);guided walks through the National Park; bird watching; scuba diving; dolphins watch (4-10Km); 4x4 trips to discover hidden-away places in Arrabida, etc.
There are two old castles - Setúbal and Palmela - (15km) turned into Inns with excellent chef cuisine.
Vila Nogueira de Azeitao (4km) has supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, banks, pharmacy, medical services, wine cellars and shops, regional sweets shops, handicraft shops, tile factory shops, Azeitão Cheese Museum, Azeitão Wine Museum, etc.
Azeitão is especially famous for its cheese, regional sweets, sweet wines and muscatels. Most wine cellars are open to the public.
Excellent location for visiting Lisbon and surroundings (40 min by motorway). Sintra and Cascais resorts 1:15 by motorway.

We spent a wonderful week at house, enjoying the indeed breathtaking view and beautiful nature. The pool and outdoor space are perfect, the house is good for 4, but due to the small size of the kitchen and living room, probably a bit tight for 6. The bathroom appliances and pipes are old and block easily (toilet paper needs to be discarded in the bin), which was ok for us but might be a no-go for other guests. It’s clearly the luxury of the garden, not the luxury of the inside space you are coming for! Baltazar is very helpful and prompt in replying. Thanks a lot for this wonderful stay!

The property had the most amazing setting and great grounds with views of the hills. Pool was also a great size. Well equipped house. Grrat location with lots to do. The house itself, particularly the kitchen, was smaller than expected, with the twin bedroom essentially leading off the kitchen. Half size dishwasher not really big enough for regular home cooking for family of 4. Worth noting narrow spiral stair case to master bedroom which might be an issue for someone with mobility issues. Had a great 2 weeks at the house.

We had a wonderful week, the location/view is stunning and the pool area is beautiful, like on the pictures. The house is nice and clean, although relatively basic, with a very small kitchen and rather old bathrooms. We were unlucky that the sewage drains broke down after 2 days, leading to flooding, intense smell and a nonfunctional toilet. Baltazar was very helpful and organised plumbers to come urgently and eventually after 3 days of building work the problem was fixed. This was naturally not a great experience during our holidays, but we very much appreciated the good communication with Baltazar and his immediate action. Overall we still much enjoyed our stay, such a wonderful place; with some renovation work in the bathrooms, the house would get 5 stars from us.

The setting of the villa is stunning. The pool is large and beautiful with plenty of sun beds. The villa is clean and cool in the heat. The kitchen is small but there is a large fridge and freezer in the Annexe. The washing machine and dishwasher are easy to use. Azeitao is 5 mins up the road and has a Lidl and Intermache. It also has some great restaurants at decent prices. We had hoped to take advantage of the walks in the Natural park from the doorstep of the villa but it was too hot

Excellent. Lovely setting, great view and lovely garden and pool. Parts of house, kitchen and upstairs bathroom, very small but otherwise a super house. Host very communicative and helpful.

Great villa with great service

Great villa with great service

The property was well appointed ( small kitchen but not an issue for us) with a big pool overlooked by amazing scenery. The villa was clean and big enough for a group of 5, and close to Azeitao which is a nice little village with good wine and some good restaurants- supermarkets are also near. The host was very attentive and made sure that all of our needs were met, and checked on us during our stay. We visited in early June and the house loses the sun at 7ish; however there were big blankets in the house if we got chilly. All in all, we highly recommend it.

Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances dans cette magnifique maison. La vue est tout simplement splendide. La piscine est très grande et très agréable. Le terrain de foot a été un plus pour nos enfants ! La maison est confortable et la climatisation permet de mieux supporter la chaleur estivale. La région est chouette à visiter avec notamment des très belles plages préservées. Merci beaucoup à Baltazar pour l’accueil et les attentions. Nous recommandons les yeux fermés.

Nous avons passé 1 semaine dans ce petit coin de paradis. Nous avons eu l'impression d'être loin de tous, mais proche de tout, avec pour seule vue le magnifique parc naturel de Arrabida. La maison est fonctionnelle, la piscine incroyable, et la vue tout simplement magnifique. Merci à Baltazar pour sa gentille intention à notre arrivée (un panier garni nous attendait). Nous y reviendrons très certainement repasser des vacances en famille !

A very memorable stay

A very memorable stay

We had an amazing week at the property. Fantastic location with breathtaking views. Very good communication with the owner. I would recommend the area of Sesimbra to anybody to visit. The house was very comfortable with all we needed being a family with kids and having friends with us. Fantastic pool, great patio, surrounded by the mountains. Great area for nature lovers and hikers. Beautiful beaches around. Area not crowded at all. Fantastic local food anywhere you go. We would love to come back next year.
