Good location and very friendly

The staff was nice and so was breakfast.
The description promised noise isolated rooms which was a fantasy. Every outside conversation echoed in the room as well as the traffic noises from the road and parking.

Westend has a good location in Fort Portal, close to town. It has good value for money and delivers its promises
It’s a small hotel and if there are noisy guests, you might wake up early. But other than that, we enjoyed our stay

Breakfast was good, location is excellent for me - close to the bus station
8.0 / 10.0
The room and facilities were all clean and comfortable. The breakfast was freshly prepared on order, with a good set of options available. The WiFi worked well and had a reasonably fast connection. The staff were extremely friendly and helped us whenever we had a question or need. The location is fantastic, as it's on the fringes of the town centre, so very easy walking distance to and from all the local shops, restaurants and amenities.
If you like a hot shower as I do, it was a little hit and miss, generally always cold in the morning but it warmed up in the evening. The room was a little small and in need of a few minor repairs, but nothing do bad that it made the stay uncomfortable.

Noisy outsude from the room, quite early in the morning (neighbours speaking)

Outside appearance of hotel and gardens were good.
Inside of wardrobes were not clean. Although we gave full details of how many people were staying, not enough towels and no soap in the room when we arrived. Room external doors do not reach the ground, and therefore easy for snakes to enter. Breakfast sausages were nearly fossilised. Breakfast not very good; only egg omlette available, no choice of fried, boiled, or scrambled egg available. No body at reception when we arrived, despite giving the predicted arrival time. Staff not particularly welcoming. Generally a take it or leave it attitude, typically african style. No beer in the bar.

Clean modern lodge, good wifi, friendly staff, safe compound.
Restaurant was 1 hour late with breakfast service despite repeated confirmation for early breakfast.

I really liked the helpfulness of the staff who were always there to assist us. We had some extra guests coming and they were welcomed warmly and got offered a room promptly. Also the kitchen is good. The preparation of the food takes a bit of time, but if you order in advance you will not miss the delicious meals.
Apart from the cleaning it was a nice stay. So if one can recommend, we would point out especially the bathroom, that needs a bit of more attention.
