Excellent staff and great value for money , beds were so comfy and clean
Had a great stay at the Menai, our host Matt Was so friendly and welcoming , as were the other staff there. We were in easy walking distance of the university and their are plenty of shops and bars in the surrounding area to keep you entertained, The hotel has its own bar which we took advantage of and hade a great night , not too busy and loud but not empty either, just right 👍🍺

Couldn't wait to leave . Didn't have that welcoming feel :(
Staff was friendly and accommodated our much loved pet dog Big room Bar had plenty of choices for drinks Students were lovely and welcoming
Rooms were to hot and had no fans Mattress was lumpy and very uncomfortable Breakfast was bland and rushed Beer garden didn't seem to have any life in it Just tarmac Could of done with some grass and flowers. We wanted a sea view and never got this The view was at the back of the hotel over looking residents gardens and roofs

Not what was expected.
Not a lot. An individual staff member did come in early to provide a continental breakfast, so that we could leave in time to catch the ferry. It’s in a good location for a walk to the pier or into town but that wasn’t really enough to restore our faith in the hotel itself.
The pictures provided make it look much better than it is. In reality it’s a worn out property that needs considerable investment to bring it back to its former glory. The room was clean and the beds comfortable but the bathroom was a disaster. The shower was useless but worst still there was no hot water, which was reported on arrival but the situation was still the same the following morning.
