The place is in a good location, right around the corner from the bus stop. Very hospitable host. It’s nice having a kitchen to cook and the multi filter system on the sink is great. Plan on staying here again on my way back through Liberia

Clean hotel with great, friendly hosts.
We used the hotel to go to Ometepe Island the next day.
Had a room with air conditioning, very comfortable bed.
Breakfast was delicious and varied.

The place was really comfortable and relaxing. The family running it were very nice and helpful with everything.

Rex, Julieta and her dog are just the cutest and super friendly. They were always happy to help. The beds were comfortable and from the hostel you can reach everything in the city by foot. It was also super clean.
The kitchen could be more equipped but they said that they want to change a lot in the kitchen area so maybe that will change soon.

we felt very comfortable and happy there.
Julieta is a kind-hearted soul :)

They welcomed us very politely and explained everything you need to know also for our next stay on Ometepe.
Bedroom with toilet was great, to take a shower they provided towels but it's a shared shower
AC worked very well
The location isn't really good from the bus terminal, about 15min walking
Not that much (stores, restaurants) around the hostel

We had a reservation confirmed for 3 nights for this hotel in booking. When we arrived the woman first told us It's an other hotel... When i showed on maps and booking that It's this one she said that they changed the name and there is a bug on booking... it was during semana Santa so very tough To find something else.
Anyway it's there responsibility to make sure there is no issue, not the customer. It's not professional at all ! As we insisted she manage to find something else for us but without apologizing, nothing... like she did not care at all. She just dropped us to the other hostel but did not make sure they had availability for 3 nights... of course they had just for 1 so we had to change again hotel after...
We are travelling since 7 monthes around this continent and it's the first time we had such bad experience !

The owners were so helpful and friendly, it felt like i was staying with family. As far as I could see it's just the husband and wife running the hotel and they do a great job. They have a little white dog and a couple of birds. They make breakfast on request for USD $7. The location is very walkable. There are 2 good restaurants within 2 blocks of the hostel and about 5 blocks away is a main street with lots of shopping and restaurants. Their neighbors have chickens so there are a lot of animal noises but it it what it is. There are a lot of animal noises in Nicaragua period.
It would have been nice if the propane stove in the guest kitchen was working so i could have made my own food, but the owners were more than accommodating with anything i needed in the kitchen.

Julieta was an amazing host, making us all feel at home and making a great breakfast. The accomodation was nice, short way to city centre and we got many good recommendations👍

The hostess was amazing, went far beyond what she had to, kind, compassionate, helped me immensely. If I’m ever back this way I would stay again! Good coffee too!

The host was a very nice lady with a very friendly dog.
It is like a hut (but at least for absolutely good enough).

we had everything we needed but maybe it’s helpful to know there isn’t a kitchen

staff is nice
I understand it is not a luxury hotel and it’s absolutely fine. however feeling the strings of the mattress all night is not great and it was very uncomfortable.
it’s not particularly clean but I have seen dirtier.

Julieta IS very kind and helpful, smiling and a very good talk. The place IS clean, quiet, well located. There is a restaurant near, local, cheap, burritos y Tal.

The people who work there are extremely nice, comfortable bed
I think it was a bit expensive compared to elsewhere in Nicaragua but Rivas seems to be more expensive in general.

Julieta was just the nicest person ever! Even though we got stuck at the border from Costa Rica to Nicaragua, she waited for us until 10:30pm and welcomed us. everything was great and super clean, unbeatable for that price. Also called us a taxi which whose driver super friendly and cheap. see you soon
there’s nothing.

private bathroom was just a toilet & sink, no shower

Juliete is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic but comfortable and all you need for a stopover. Easy to walk to (15mins) from where Ticabus drops you off so no taxi required.
The price reflects the accommodation standard but really it’s fine. fussy travellers go elsewhere !
The bullfrogs were rather noisy when going to sleep 😂

comfortable bed
4.0 / 10.0
The only thing I liked was the comfortable bed and room. That's all.
1. No flexibility to leave when I wanted. The owner said she needs to go for charity 🙄 and I can leave either before (really early morning) or after (late won't work I'll miss flight). 🙃
2. The owner kept telling me I am free to go find another place. I arrived late at night and tired from Ometepe to face her kicking me out before checking in if I don't comply to her departure time requests. Very unfriendly I'd say. If you rent your place, you should let people leave whenever they want. It is NOT a jail.
3. It says hostel but there is NO access to anything a typical hostel provides. No Kitchen. No water. No hot water. No tea. No coffee. Nothing.
4. No place to hang out. That if you find anyone to talk to anyway.
5. Lack of communication before and after.
But as said above the room was comfortable. Only 2 beds and very clean.

location, kitchen for guests, nice porch for relaxing
Unfortunately, as in case of many places in Central America no front door key was available for guests, and, because of it, our mobility was severally restricted (including the necessity to adjust to owner schedule and/or habits) e. g. there is no way to stay on the porch longer than 10pm as the owner closes the main door and there is no negotiation about it. I can’t imagine anyone trying to get there after 10pm. To leave the hostel, we needed to inform the owner about the fact, otherwise it wouldn’t be possible to go out as everything is locked.

First of all she is a very kind very welcome person. Room was super clean and enough big for me.

We needed a cheap room to sleep in for 1 night and this was fine for that.
The noise. We were ok with the fact that the room is not isolated and bugs could get in, but not with the noise of people talking right next to our room until late at night, nor with the handyman that started drilling and hammering at 7am. Please give people notice of these things.

Well all was ok ...
Was very fine.
I back later.

Friendly owner, clean room, comfortable bed.
We booked double room with private bathroom - bathroom is private and attached to the room but the shower is outside - it is private shower but everytime we go to the shower we had to pass the owner as she was sitting almost all the time just in front of our room's door... so strange. I also wanted to keep doors open to get some fresh air when we were in the room but again - the same privacy issue 🙃
