This is my third stay, and the welcome gets better and better. Mamadou is a great host and a creative problem solver.
Rainy season means more frequent power outages, but that's out of their control. They do, however, have a generator.

The grounds are very nice we really enjoyed the pool and having breakfast outside by the pool. It is walking distance to the beach and a lovely small hike up the "falaise" . We were welcomed by friendly staff and very flexible with our schedule except for brealthat was served quite late 9-9;30.
The family bungalow we booked was in bad shape and really requires a full restoration (paint coming off, curtains barely holding, mosquito net too small, one bed did not have any, no curtain for the shower..
) We visited the suites and those are completely renovated with beautiful furniture and look amazing but the family bungalow is in dire need of renovation. The breakfast was super basic and quite late in the morning.

The place was clean, the compound is very big for the low number of rooms. The place must have been great a couple of years ago, a little maintenance is required by now. The AC worked great, breakfast was good, pool clean, very quiet neighborhood. Location is not amazing, few minutes walk to the beach, but it was very nice beach with some good restaurants facing it.
We had a problem with the taxi the hotel organized for us. He clearly overcharged us and ended up involving us in a heated discussion that lasted for several minutes. I know this is not the hotel's fault, but they organized the taxi for us and a hotel's employee was there the entire time. He intervened but after many minutes of heated discussion. This bitterned our stay for sure, a bad start. The employee still stood by the client (us), which is good, but he should have done that a lot earlier. But most importantly, this hotel must stop working with that dishonest taxi man. Popenguine is not too touristic, we still managed to find a way more honest taxi driver, but it was still bitter and uncomfortable moment that ruined our stay there.

Mamadou and his team made us feel welcome and took care of everything we asked of them. This was our second stay and we'll definitely be back.

Very comfortable, quiet, and relaxing. There is AC, hot water, fan, and fridge. Outside of town but still able to walk to the nature reserve, restaurants, etc. We got breakfast and dinner at the hotel. They were also able to call us a taxi to get us to our next destination.
The only negative I can think of is that we ran out of toilet paper and had to ask for more on the last day.

We liked the personal space at the hotel it was not congested, we enjoyed the grounds it was clean, the pool was clean, bed was comfortable with towels that was clean, people were very kind and hospitable. The Hotel must have been something awesome in its heydays! We were able to walk in safety as Poponguine the area has very relaxing environment
The Hotel is old and unmaintained example the towel rack fell off the wall, the shower doors allowed water everywhere, water leaking in the bathroom. Mosquito nets on windows are broken and we got eaten alive. Decaying utensils in kitchens

You feel like you are on a resort. There are a variety of wild exotic animals.
The rooms need to be cleaned better. There is not a variety of food offered.

Mamadou is a wonderful person. At any time, he is available for help. What a guy!! House needs a little renovation but was perfect for my wife and I. It is the place to be in Poponguine. Again, many thanks to Mamadou.

The thoughtfulness of the staff in helping me sort our airline difficulties was amazing. The consideration to even wave of the remaining amount of the hotel feel was truly thoughtful considering the situation I was in. There are only few good people in the world and the staff Mamadou who attended to me was one.
The toilet bowl needs to be properly cleaned as it already has stains which is a turn of for me

The room & bathroom cleanliness was good, and the area was quiet.
The condition of the bathroom was just passable or "Ok" (e.g., issues included shower & sink fixtures in need of repair; the light above mirror worked but not the room light; and the mosquito net had small holes in it).

Breakfast is good. Location is quete and very peaceful. Momodu is an excellent human being. Very professional...helpful and always available to sort you out. Despite my poor french i was always able to understand him. Thanks for changing the whole trip into a great one after a nightmarish start in Senegal
A bit complicated to get to the property because of the paved road. Can easily miss the signs

Suite/bathroom could have been cleaner. Bed could have been more comfortable.

Proximity to the airport and cheap, had WiFi, exactly what we needed for our one night transit. They could arrange drop off at the airport the next day, at a very fair price, way cheaper than the taxi we used from the airport to the hotel.
The room is pretty basic and had a strange smell. The bathroom clearly needed some maintenance, I can't say it was pretty clean, and the towel bar completely fell apart when we tried to dry a towel on it. The room was quite dusty as well. As much as we appreciated the availability and kindness of the host, the place needs some improvements in terms of cleanliness and maintenance.

The price-quality ratio is excellent. The manager always tried to help us and generally was nice. The room was spacious and comfortable. The pool is a big asset of the accommodation.

We enjoyed our stay in "Villa Serere". The room was well equipped and quiet. We enjoyed our breakfast in the morning.
The pool was great and not often frequented, because the vacation season has not yet begun and you could relax well.
Our direct contact was always available with advice and support. Many thanks at this point.
The sanitary facilities are to be repaired or renewed in the long term.
