Ruhig gelegen, Whale Watch nur 10min entfernt, toller Gemeinschaftsraum mit offenem Feuer und das beste Frühstück was ich in Neuseeland bekommen habe!

Awatea Country Bed & Breakfast is a delight. The room with ensuite is really lovely, the bed comfortable and bathroom is great. The grounds around the house were very well kept and Boston and Bob were a delight to have around. It is a little bit out of town but very quiet. Kevin was a wonderful host and the breakfast was absolutely amazing! Would definitely recommend!

It was the best place we have every stayed in (and we have been to lots). High quality accommodation and meals were really great. We were well looked after. They went the extra mile to make us comfortable. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend.

very friendly and informative hosts. Sensational breakfast , make sure that you are hungry as they create a substantial breakfast, freshly made. It was great later to go for a walk on the farm and the bonus was the new 2 day old piglets.
nothing at all.

A fabulous bed and breakfast in a wonderful location set between the sea in front and mountains behind. Superbly comfortable bed and lovely bathroom with nice shower and shampoo, lotions etc provided. Cooked breakfast available if you wanted it and Anne cooked us a delicious dinner of ribeye steak which was much appreciated as we’d done a long drive that day. Kevin and Anne are great people and excellent hosts.
Nothing, can’t fault it! Would like to have stayed longer!

Loved the room and gorgeous local lavender products. Fixed the wifi problem quickly, thank you.
Conversation/humour needs to be a bit more vanilla to cater for different groups.

Very friendly and excellent breakfast

It was so nice to be in the countryside with sea as well as mountain views - just few minutes away from busy Kaikoura. Super nice hosts, also providing dinner on request. We had breakfast & dinner in their beautiful garden. Very sad that we could only stay 1 night!

Excellent breakfast. I only had Continental but was offered Full.
Secure location - surrounded by retired polce!
Grab rails welcome.
Would have liked tea-making in room.

Great host, beautiful outlook and superb breakfast. Couldn't fault the place, exactly what we were after travelling with two older kids and a dog who was in her element.

Beautiful and cozy place, very recommend! Thanks to the hosts!

the backyard and its view of Kaikoura Mtns was unmatched. Dennis gave us a tour of the farm animals and gardens. He and Ann made us a generous and tasty breakfast.

Kevin and his wife are excellent hosts and incredibly hospitable. Their homemade breakfasts were delicious with so many options available for vegetarians too. While it was unfortunate that our whale watching tour was cancelled, it was more than made up for by our experience at Kevin's farm. Kevin was incredibly kind to show us around his farm where we were able to feed the animals and learn more about agriculture and farming in NZ. This was truly a special experience for us coming from cities. We also had the pleasure to meet with their lovely dogs Fat Bob and Boston who are such sweethearts.
We would highly recommend staying at Awatea Country B&B if you are in Kaikoura. It was a highlight of our entire NZ trip.
Thank you so much Kevin for our wonderful stay!

Host Kevin is awesome. Down to earth, incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The location is beautiful. The views - just stunning! Well appointed bathroom with locally sourced bathroom products provided. And Kevin cooks an excellent full breakfast. So many hot drinks to choose from, juice, milk, fresh water always available. You even get to help feed the animals. Very comfortable atmosphere. We felt very welcome.
Nothing we didn't like.

The location on the coast just outside of town was amazing with a fabulous view of the mountains, the room spotlessly clean with a comfy bed, beautiful sheets and towels, a delicious breakfast and an engaging, knowledgeable and super kind host. Liam made us feel so welcomed and spent extra time showing us around the property and introducing us to their animals. We loved bottle feeding the lambs! An extra bonus was a crash course in the rules of rugby as we watched the Rugby World Cup Finals during breakfast. A memorable stay!!
No complaints!

Liam, the host, was very helpful and pleasant - and he made a good breakfast. The lambs, alpacas, pigs, goats and dogs were fun.

Kevin our host was extremely hospitable. The property was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed mixing with the other guests in the lounge by an open fire. Couldn't have asked for more. 5 stars in all respects. Highly recommend and would revisit.
Nothing not to like about this place

Spotlessly clean, wonderful views of kaikoura ranges from room, log fire in living room with a range of games, stellar breakast... you'll have no room for lunch, lovely host who gave everyone a warm welcome, tea/coffee available throughout the day.

Hospitality was superb. Company great. Highly recommend it.

The breakfast was the best I've ever had. There were animals in the farm and Kevin gave my daughter the chance to feed them! I was able to have coffee in the garden and watching the beautiful mountain.

So cosy and warm in our room. Electric blanket :) big bathroom with great shower pressure and heat. Kev was very hospitable and the breakfast was sensational- eggs bacon mushies tomatoes sausage, along with pikelets, yogurt & fruit. What more could you want?! The view from the living room (and bedrooms) was incredible!
Nothing.

Loved the cooked breakfast and pikelets. I'd rate the bedding and the room (including quality of pillows) to be superior. Had an excellent 1 night stay. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. It was nice to be in the country, but still very close to town. Would liked to have stayed longer but we were on a tight schedule.
