We recently stayed at Hydravista for a week in August. We had an amazing experience and absolutely loved Trevor’s apartment. On arrival Trevor had kindly left us some essentials (water, bread, olive oil, coffee, etc). This was very useful as the supermarkets are in the main town which is about 45 minutes walk away.
The accommodation is just as shown in the pictures: beautiful, well decorated and with all the amenities that you need for a summer holiday (Trevor even provided us beach towels!). It was extremely clean and the bed was very, very comfortable!
Hydravista also has the most amazing view. From the window all you can see is the beautiful blue sea and sky. The lovely outdoor terrace area is also a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of island!
The position of the apartment was excellent too as we were in Hydra for a relaxing holiday. There is a lovely beach and excellent restaurant 2 minutes walk away (Four Seasons Hydra). There are a couple of other nice tavernas within a 15 minute walk but the majority of the restaurants and shops are in the main town. If you don’t fancy the walk into town, there is a boat which you can take for €10 return (you can’t buy one way tickets). The boat runs every 30 minutes or so. Sea taxis are also available but are more expensive (circa €30 one way).
In summary, we would highly recommend Hydravista. It’s a beautiful apartment and Trevor is a fantastic host! We just returned and already can’t wait to go back!
