Lovely seaside town near the Lake District

Our room was spacious enough for my partner and our dog. It was also nice and clean. Unfortunately we forgot our swimwear so we missed out on using the pool, which looked great. Ian and Nav were very friendly, cooked a lovely breakfast and provided helpful information on places to eat in the evening. It was a good location to visit the quieter side of the lakes, we went to Ennerdale water for the first time, and it had picnic benches and a good stone track along the side of the lake which would be good to walk along in all weathers. We also enjoyed visiting the harbour in Whitehaven and the sandy beach at St. Bees.

Would recommend this place to anyone travelling up to Whitehaven

Fantastic room Good pool area with hot tub and saunas Brilliant hosts Spacious clean room with great views and breakfast good too

Not hotels fault but lack of taxis available is a shame as it’s quite a way out of town

Perfect place to stay!

Fantastic views all around, the staff were incredible and so friendly! The room was a great size and pristine. Breakfast was amazing and the garden was lovely, a real sun trap. Definitely looking forward to staying again.

I had a lovely stay and enjoyed the sea view and proximity to the coastal path for a nice walk.

The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Good parking. The room was modern and spacious. Very friendly and a superb breakfast.

Hosts were absolutely lovely. Felt comfortable enough to store my bike (part of a bike-packing trip) in their shed. Up on a hill and on clear days, 2min walk to have views to Scotland and Isle of Man.

We had a lovely room with the view of Irish Sea and Scotland hills. The place was very clean. The owner was also very helpful and welcoming.

Lovely place close enough to the town, but also not too close; thus allowing for the beauty of Cumbria and the local town for meals when needed. Car parking was ample, breakfast was supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

I disliked the roadworks on the M6 when travelling up, but this is unavoidable.

It was lovely.

Great location for me going to work. The room was beautiful and spacious, bathroom was lovely and shower was great. Myself and my dog were warmly welcomed on arrival. The breakfast was amazing. All in all it’s a beautiful b & b and the hosts are lovely. It’s so nice I’m back down tomorrow for work and will be down once a month going forward.

What did I like? Everything. The owners were great, so welcoming. Amazing view, so cosy, spacious and comfortable. Far & away the best place I've stayed in Whitehaven.

A great stopover on our 2 leg sea to sea journey

Breakfast superb. Honest bar. Owner went out of his way to be helpful - we arrived very late. Warm, clean, comfortable beds. Bike storage.

Great food and location, great hosts, great stay and pet friendly. 10/10 would recommend and return.

Breakfast was very well done and came out fresh and hot each morning. Plus there was other foods such as breads, yogurts and cereals if you didn't fancy the hot breakfast. The hosts and staff were great, very friendly and available to help or chat. Location is perfect. It's just outside of the town so you don't get much traffic but also close enough for it to be a 5 minute drive down to the nearest car park or supermarket.

The shower could do with a sliding door as the water kept on spilling out onto the floor, that's my only complaint.
