A 3rd walkout lower level is equipped with a play area, foosball and TV, and two bedrooms designed as kid friendly bunk rooms, along with one full bath. Like the rest of Happy Hour, it was designed with the group gathering/family in mind. Two tent areas beyond the main gathering area are ideal for the kids to have a campout close to the house during your vacation.

We loved the house and had plenty of room for 19 adults. Loved the location and being in a no-wake zone. Host was very helpful

We go to Norris a few times a year and these owners were great to work with. Great communication on the property and answered questions immediately.
Location and house were great - we have 25 folks and didn’t feel cramped at all.
Highly recommend this spot

The house had plenty of space to spread out and relax. The no wake zone by our dock was awesome for swimming and kayaking for us and the kids. The beds were very comfortable. The views were amazing and the memories priceless. A miracle brought us all together initially, grace and love for each other has formed lasting bonds.

Happy hour was beautiful, clean, and large enough for a huge family thanksgiving gathering. The owners were so kind and hospitable. Thank you

Happy hour embodies its name. From the moment we checked in we had a great time! The two kitchens were nicely stocked and were both needed with our 16 person group. The bedrooms and living room were nicely decorated and homey. This cabin has everything you need. The owners were very quick to respond and helpful when needed. Not a complaint but just a fact, there are a lot of stairs. And I mean a lot. But I wouldn’t change anything and we had a great trip.

Nice roomy property everything you need for a group outing. Very quite and peaceful. If you have a large group this has plenty of beds and two kitchens so entertaining is no problem

Water front also perfect to relax and play

Our only problem was with the cement steps and the shaky railing at the bottom of the cement steps onto the dock. That and the rotten something that was caught under the dock, which I realize you had no control over!

We had a great stay at the lake as a family. Small hiccup at check in that they addressed quickly. Really appreciated the quick response and great space!

This property was fantastic for our annual spring golf trip. The only thing nicer than the house was dealing with the owners. They immediately answered any question I had and were more than accommodating to us!!
We had 16 bigger than average guys and all slept great, played golf all weekend at one of the local courses, watched NCAA basketball, and never felt crowded. The house definitely made you feel relaxed and takes you away from the hustle of everyday life.
I would 110% recommend this property, especially with the no hassle use of the property and friendliness of the owners. It would be a great place for a large family getaway

This place was a lovey get-away for our extended family with nine adults and nine teen/early twenty year olds.
The two kitchens and three living areas served us well! We had space to spread out and the teens ruled the lower level during their late nights.
The dock area was great and housed a boat and two Sea Doos with ease.
The water (no wake) was great for floating and the wake zone was about a ten minute ride by watercraft. There were lots of nooks and crannies to explore with a paddle board and nice wildlife to enjoy.
We had plenty of dishes/silverware and towels. The accommodations were clean and updated. We all agreed it was a great vacation, and we would stay there again!

It was a great place to stay. This was our first time at Norris Lake and the home met all of our expectations, The fire pit was great for kids to make their somemores ! There were quite a few steps down to water but we knew that when we rented the home. All in all great experience.

We had a great vacation with family! Communication with owners was great as they were always available to answer any questions we had.

This property was wonderful. We had an extended family gathering and the layout was great. We enjoyed having two kitchens that may have been the best stocked of any that we have experienced. The house easily accommodated multiple gathering places.

We loved the house with its many bedrooms, two kitchens, two living areas and three decks. The set up made it possible to handle the wide variety of ages which ranged from 6 months to 93. Our only complaint was that we were not forewarned that the water level of the lake would be WAY down and the tiki and dock areas were inaccessible. This a winter condition apparently, as the water is held upstream.

It was a great house. The dock and tiki bar was a hit plus have electric there. Some of the beds the guest said we’re not to comfortable. Had plenty of room and beds. A lot of steps from house to dock. Overall I would recommend this house.

Great accommodations, very clean and newly renovated interior, owner and house manager attentive to concerns. Great fire pit area. Would rent again.

Happy Hour is hands down the very best property that we have had the pleasure of renting for our Vacation getaway. Andrew & Dawn are so kind and answered my questions very quickly. The home is gorgeous! Very nicely furnished & well equipped. The dock was perfect for our grands to swim & play and the covered boat slip was perfect for our son’s Mastercraft boat. We rented a pontoon & was able to dock it at the house as well.
I highly recommend this home!!

House is very nice and right on the lake. Very good experience.

This home was so perfect for our large family! We had kids/adults of all ages and everyone was totally comfortable for everyone. Having two kitchens/living areas was great and worked wonderfully for the early birds and the night owls! The dock is great, and the tiki bar was such a fun touch. We were able to swim, fish, and rent a pontoon all on our own private dock. The fire pit was a great way to enjoy s’mores and unwind after a busy day, and the adults also loved jumping in the hot tub! The house was incredibly clean, beautifully furnished, and well stocked! There were also plenty of places on each of the decks for all of us to hang out and relax! Dawn and Andrew were wonderful to communicate with and extremely attentive to all our questions!
I would note that much like a lot of the homes around Norris Lake there are A LOT of stairs! That took a little adjustment for the older folks in our group as well as the little kiddos- but we all definitely got our exercise in! It’s also a really hilly drive once you get closer to the lake. We Ohioans who are used to flat open wide spaces struggled a little to navigate the hills but we figured it out after a few trips into town! (We were about 20 minutes from town for all your shopping needs! there was everything you needed pretty close by- Walmart, grocery stores, gas stations, etc).
All in all, our family had a vacation we will never forget! We will definitely be back to Happy Hour! Huge thanks to the Gaydosh’s for providing us with such a wonderful home.

We needed a place to get away from the noise during these crazy times. We also wanted a lot of room so our parties could have their own space. This house provided all of that and then some. It gave us space and offers a little but for everyone. Two kitchens on separate floors. Great bonfire pit and deck space. Andrew and Dawn were available daily for questions and concerns. This was our first time at norris lake but, this won't be our last happy hour.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving for our extended family. We loved the lake, hot tub and fire pit! There was plenty of room for our 19 guests. Parking was a little tight, but there is an overflow lot not to far.

Very large home with three levels of living. Worked great for our tribe of 14.

Location was good. House was functional. Slept 11 adults no problem. Close to marina and slip accepts pontoon boat. Only down sides were a lot of steps to get to the dock and there was no firewood.

The house layout was awesome with plenty of room for our large group! Having 2 kitchens was nice for making large meals, and two very nice sized living rooms was great for the adults and kids. The deck seating was nice on each level. The location on the cove was pretty private for the most part, nice and calm for the younger kids, and was very happy about the dock not getting too hot to walk on. Would highly recommend!

We had a great time for a long weekend at happy hour with a group of girls and our moms. It was perfect. Clean and plenty of room and with two separate living rooms, we had a great place to hang out late without disturbing them. Only issue we had was that there was no cell service and the phone line had been cut by nearby construction. And really By no cell service, I mean none. It was nice to be unplugged for the weekend! We rented a boat and had an excellent time at the firepit and making drinks on the dock. Would definitely stay again!!

We have been here several times and consider it home. Very clean, private, quiet and peaceful in the winter months, in the summer there is no better location on the lake. We love it.

Happy hour is a beautiful home located right on Norris Lake in a very peaceful area. It easily accommodated our large group of 24 people. Plenty of space for the kids to enjoy on the first two floors which allowed the adults to hang out on the top floor! We enjoyed sitting out by the firepit both nights & the dock was great to relax on during the day. Rented a jet ski at Shanghai Marina & the kids loved it! If you are looking for rest and relaxation Happy Hour is the place to be!

House was amazing. Beds super comfy and the couches were just as comfy as we slept on both. Hot tub was great the tiki bar dock was perfect for us to all hang out and drink some beverages... Overall the best place i ever stayed at norris lake...

WOW!! Our week at Happy Hour was the best vacation we have ever had! Our mini-Family Reunion of 16 people was fabulous! The listing description was very accurate from the beautiful lake view, to the photos of the rental, to the amenities listed! It was extremely clean! I actually spoke with the owner before our week's stay and everything that he said was exactly what we found and MORE!!! We would definitely recommend this property to anyone....and plan to return ourselves!!!!

We stayed at Happy Hour the week of June 15-22 2013. My mom rented the house for the week for a family reunion for her 6 kids and their children. We had perfect weather the whole week! The house was perfect as well as the location on the lake. The cove was beautiful and the dock was really nice. It is just perfect especially if you have younger children and don't have to worry about high volume or fast boat traffic. The spot is perfect for sun lovers and there is lots of shade under the covered dock or in the Tiki Bar. Many fish were caught and lots of fun was had. Many are saying it was the best vacation they have ever had! Hope to make it an annual event. All the info supplied on the listing was accurate. Property was very clean, in good shape and any time I needed any info or had questions the owners were very helpful. We rented pontoons from Sugar Hollow and from Shanghai Marinas and would probably only deal with Shanghai in the future even though Sugar Hollow is a little closer. Make sure you jump off the bridge, it was loads of fun!!

We were a group of 7 families, with 14 children all under the age of 6, staying for the fourth of July holiday week. Happy Hour definitely exceeded our expectations. The house was exactly as pictured, but outfitted so thoughtfully, we were well equipped for a great week. There is so much thought put into the home- great layout, lighted stairs to the dock, plenty of parking, even a porch swing to enjoy the view. We took an opportunity to check out the community in-ground pool - it was very well kept and clean; a nice change of scenery for the kids one day. The lake was warm and the cove was superb for swimming. The waterslide at the dock was a huge hit! Although we had a couple of rainy days, there was enough space that we didn't feel confined even with our large group.
Thanks to Andrew for great communication before our trip to ensure we had what we needed- it was really appreciated.
Thanks for the great memories!

A large group of school friends meet every year for a weekend getaway and this has been our favorite house yet. The hous is very spacious and clean with 2 well stocked kitchens. It made for a wonderful (snowy) mountain, lake getaway. In fact, we can't wait to come back in the summer and be able to use the lake!
