Easy check in, lovely breakfast (the hosts left fresh fruit and croissants for each day), easy-to-use coffee machine, and perfect location! I would book again with no doubts! Thanks for a lovely stay

B&B Casa Tropea was done remotely. We received instructions before we arrived on how to self check in. The following day we met Nunzia the cleaner and Domenico who were both friendly and helpful. The room was equipped with fridge, air conditioning and breakfast snacks - packet croissants, packet toast, cake, jams, nutellla and coffee pods, bottled water and even bottled of Refreshing Lemon Tea. The bed was comfortable there was extra pillows in the closet. Within 10 metres there was a pizzeria, cafe, bar, pasticerria shop and 20 metres away at mini market. We were about 10 minutes walk to the railway station and historic centre and main beach was about 15 minutes when you account for the stairs.
There was a coffee machine but only plastic cups to drink your coffee from.

The location of the apartment is great - it's close to the centre but in a very quiet road off the main road. At the end of the road (a few steps away) there is a cafe/bar on one side and a little mini-market on the other so that's really handy. The rooms were spacious, with a good-sized bathroom and the rooms were lovely and cool with the air-conditioning (which was a bit of a noisy air-conditioner but possibly I had it on the wrong programme). There is plenty of wardrobe space, and a nice little cupboard in the bathroom too which was useful. There was always plenty of hot water and the shower pressure was good too. There's a fridge, a small TV, and plenty of power sockets. The wifi was strong too.
I found it to be more like an airbnb, which isn't necessarily a problem, but there was very little contact with the owners, whom I never met or spoke to. There are some hi-tech instructions for getting into the apartment, sent in advance, and the owner did reply to my message quite quickly when we couldn't work out how to get in, but when I sent a later message to say that there was no shower gel, shampoo or soap in the apartment, I didn't get a reply (though my friends in a different room had two soaps so I took one of theirs, and some of their shampoo, and then I met a cleaner later who asked if I still needed it so presumably had been informed about that by the owner). It would have also been nice to have a towel for the bidet, and a full length mirror. The shutter doesn't fully shut, but I take an eye-mask with me so it wasn't a problem when the light came in (and I doubt it would be an issue for most people anyway). The breakfast was a tray of snacks for the 2-day visit (and in my friends' room the croissants looked as though someone had sat on them) but I would definitely recommend having a lovely cappuccino and cornetto at the bar just a few steps away. Despite these niggles, I would recommend it as a good place to stay in Tropea.

great location close to center
maybe they are not use to have guests on winter, but the room where not clean: dirty bathroom, send on the bed. Heating not working.

The host was incredibly kind and communication was great. I had some issues with the self check-in but the host was available to help & guide me, which was great. The space itself is even lovelier than the photos, and they take extra care to provide comfort, snacks, and a nice comfortable place to call home. The location is also ideal with the beach a few steps away and the center so close. Next door you also have a mini mart for basic staples and snacks. I wish I could have stayed longer. 10/10 would recommend.
Everything was great.

Great location, in the city centre. The place is amazing, clean and very comfortable. We met the owner and he was lovely. Highly recommended!
Nothing. Everything was perfect!

The room was in a excellent location and the dealing with the owner were pleasant.
We would have considered the lodging good value had the breakfast not been so minimal Breakfast is inclusive in price but is not served on site but in nearby Cafe Madison. Don't expect good service here - we had an unsavoury incident with one of the staff there who was very rude and less than accommodating. We were told "one coffee and one croissant...the rest you pay...!". We had already paid for breakfast which should consist of more than this.
