Ask for a large room with lounge. They tried hard but no connection to Booking system.

Good breakfast.

No computer working. Credit card system not working. Asked for cash. Preferred room service but waited 2 hours. Short staffed. Small room next to eating area smells of moth balls. Our bookings weren’t in their system.

Overall the guest house needs a lot of renovation and cleaning.

Staff is good and cooperative does all the jobs as you explained but the hotel management is not providing professional training and equipment.

Hygiene staff needs proper supervision to clean the room. Mattress and bed extremely bad condition. I heard the owner lives in Canada but it looks he doesn’t want to invest in the property.

Comfortable stay with very friendly staff.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Star Guest House. This charming, family-run business made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The owners were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, catering to every request—even those that weren't part of their usual services. Their personal attention made our stay truly special. If you're looking for a peaceful and welcoming place to stay, I highly recommend Star Guest House. We'll definitely be returning!

Home away from home

Personalised care by all staff especially the owners. All requests were met and addressed. Felt like home. We were a big family group attending a convention the daily laundry service was great. Breakfast was made to order. A big thank you to Mr Nader Bhai for making our stay comfortable.

Some power disruptions were there because of the city power grid, however the generator would come on in a few minutes.

Horrible

The guy at the reception in the night was very patient and helpful.

It was probably my worst ever experience. We checked in around midnight after a grand family gathering. They had a power failure in the middle of the night and only a fan was working and till 6am. Apparently they had some electricity bill payment issue (this is my understanding based on the telecon) butI am not sure of it). Usually in the Commercial area power outage is not the norm. Given the heat wave, almost all the guests were outside their rooms for a couple of hours at almost close to the dawn time and after quarrels from them, the generator was operated to run the air conditioner. We slept around 6am and the worst part was the lady at the reception who even after knowing all the hassle still called us around 11am for on time room vacation. They had only a verbal sorry but really no intent and cared only for collecting the rent with no courtesy and any hint of FEELING SORRY. She kept asking me to book for more nights without any offer to compensate for the nightmare. I still ended up paying PKR 5k for remaining awake till 6am.

Would recomend without hesitation

i liked the manager and all the staff - great location halfway between airport and city centre - on one of the new bus routes you can be in the city for 50 rupees. i was able to change money at hotel which was a life saver as ATMs didn't accept my UK cards

The only things that could have been even better were 1) a pakistani breakfast rather than toast and marmalade 2) some free bottled water each day since it is not a good idea to drink the tap water

Spacious and comfortable accommodation with amazing customer service.

We love staying at Star Guest House whenever we visit Karachi! The staff are always very kind and accommodating, and the building is clean and comfortable. Our room was spacious and provided everything we needed to feel at home. The breakfast provided was delicious and we ordered dinner a few times too - every meal we had was so tasty and excellent value for money! The location of Star is ideal as well, it is easy to get to anywhere around Karachi from Star. It is also very peaceful coming in off the busy main road into the Star's courtyard; I enjoyed watching the kites and crows flying overhead during our stay. I recommend Star to anyone looking for somewhere comfortable and central to stay when visiting Karachi.

What an amazing place to stay! I loved the hospitality, especially the healthy breakfast. The room was very pleasant, and the hotel team was well-mannered and helpful. I wanted to give a special thank you to Abid at reception. The place is quiet and safe, and it feels like home. I will surely be back to this place again.

I liked everything about the property. the staff were extremely attentive and gracious. the rooms were spacious, the AC worked fantastic and the beds were very comfortable. this family guest house is well run to the highest degree.

Management and Staff is friendly. Location and surroundings are clean. Room interiors and Washrooms are clean and are up to the standards. Parking space is also available for guests.
