Excellent location of west coast perfect for sunsets. Great coffee bar open from 6am! Excellent air conditioning. Car park. Good wireless coverage and decent speed although failed a couple of days.
Hotel is closing for desperately needed refurbishment. Our room had a cracked bath that had been slap dash repaired with silicon. Bath edges slap dash amateur silicon job. The grouting was dirty and one basin didn't work. Staff attitude varied from lovely to surly. The lovely staff were tremendous. The rude staff were sullen and took the shine off things. In fairness many will be losing their jobs at the end of this year and really couldn't give a stuff. A shame as consistent and good service covers a multitude of sins. Music in common areas was horrific - Bon Jovi "It's My Life" over breakfast at 7am - so loud we couldn't hear one another. Or Christmas Albums in September next morning. The pools are small.
Barbados is an expensive place. And while this is amongst the worst hotel I have stayed in you have to view it vs. the cost of other places and there were as I said above many positives.
Food adequate with some bright spots. Likewise wine.

We loved the location of the property and we enjoyed the size of it. We’re used to big resorts and this was our first time staying at a Boutique resort.
The staff made our stay amazing. Lisa and team go above and beyond to ensure their guests are good. I proposed at Crystal cove during our stay and I contacted Lisa months prior to arriving. I changed the plans of my proposal more than ten times probably and even during our stay I was asking questions about things I can do further more during the proposal. She showed patience cus surely I drove myself crazy with all the changes. Lisa helped me arrange flowers just 2 days before the proposal and the staff set them up in a heart shape in front of the vista lounge pool for the rocks set up.
I proposed on 6/19 and then we went to the Cliff for dinner. I also hired a local photographer to come and capture the moment. Again, Lisa and team coordinated it all for the photographer to smoothly do his job. I’m emphasizing the importance of the staff at Crystal Cove. They’re what makes the stay at the resort so great.
The property is undergoing renovations and we cannot wait to come back and see how it looks. We also can’t wait to come back and see all the staff that turned into family.
Thank you all for everything. We couldn’t appreciate you more.

The location and friendly staff make this hotel a pleasant place to stay.
Some areas are a little tired and whilst the facilities and meals are great for families those looking for a quieter venue during school holidays might prefer to stay elsewhere.

All you staff were friendly made us feel like family and at hone I loved this visit and will definitely be returning

Great location and outdoor space. Friendly staff. We were upgraded to a larger suite on arrival which was very spacious. The finishes in the room were a little dated but we knew ahead of time that the rooms are due a refurb shortly. We had a great holiday and would happily come again!
The food was definitely buffet style, and could have been a bit more varied. We didn’t try the restaurants at the other hotels in the group which may have offered more variety.

All ! Food was terrible ! hotel was terrible

food and meals were excellent, staff generally were friendly but not all staff, location is great and the pool and beach were lovely. All inclusive was great and staff often walked around bringing drinks and ice creams.
watersports is very limited and in busy times people are unlikely to get a go, says there is windsurfing but only one board with a kids training sail, watersking was OK, but didn't seem to have proper trained staff to help and give instructions. The place is a little run down and needs some work to get up to scratch. Evening entertainment was not great, and day time activities were limited. Gym was OK but needs mats etc.

Location was great
Very over priced for a 4* hotel

The staff, the room and the food
It needs maintenance particularly on the electrical side. Seem to have a plumbing problem. Just needs a proper update and repairs to broken tiles etc.

The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating.
Loved the kids corner and the general ambiance.
The barcave gets special mention. Simply 😍

Breakfast was good, toasters didn't work properly, location was good, poor quality of food at night
Food generally not acceptable for the Marriott standards, cleanliness standards are okay, I paid for a 4 star and got a 3 star at best. If you're going to keep the resort and not tear it down and replace, step it up for the price you're charging.

We loved the location, the staff, the hotel itself, and the water taxi was great to be able to use the sister hotels, they were all lovely too.
It was no problem but Drifters Restaurant at the beach was only open for one evening during our stay.

Food good staff mainly good
Rooms need updating and were a little small. Some of our possessions were stolen whilst we were there

Location was good
Customer service was terrible. Our delyed bags from the airport was rejeted by the reception and had to ourself use 3 hours to locate them again on the island. Staff took couple of calls and said, hope they come back tomorrow. We had cruise daparture next morning and no understanding for this. No compensation for ruin our whole evening for the search.

The service, pool, food and amenities were as expected. Reception went out of their way to write a birthday greeting in the rock pool, though it was outside of their scheduled time.
The staff is not accustomed having black (African) guests, It took a while for all the shifts to realise that we didn't come to rob the place and that we were actual guests staying there.

Friendly staff, beautiful location
Not getting the sea view studio I booked until the 3pm the day after we arrived.
Could not unpack & was very upset, as the room upgrade was a surprise for my husband. We were given another room & was told it was an upgrade, but had no sea view. It was not a good start to our holiday.

the beach was beautifully our suite was located right on the beach and location the location
dated a bit needs a refurbishment or update.

Loved the staff, they make the place…
Without them it would be dead, literally as it’s a very elderly clientele!
I didn’t like the food (the level of food was extremely poor for the prices charged), I was even sick on one occasion!
The property is old and rooms are very rundown too!
3.5
Staff, food was excellent. Rooms were disappointing . Management needs to be a bit more accommodating ,as there are a lot of choices that can be made.Service beyond the call is what most people look for, esppecially when they stay at other resorts and can compare.
3.5
exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff. service was excellent
Daily room clean was not 100%, but wasn’t bad
3.5
the beach front location was incredible. The hotel isn’t to big so it never really feels to much.
the staff were absolutely fantastic
the bathrooms are quite tired but always very clean

The villas are very comfortable, breakfast offers choices and it was interesting to have the possibility to go to thé tamarind to have lunch. It was good. Nice beach even if it is small. Animation is great.
That there are no chairs with shade and food could be improved.
3.5
staff, helpful, friendly, kind and always smiling
room was shabby, glass mirror was badly marked everywhere, toilet didn’t work, air conditioning kept dripping, the electricity wouldn’t work with our chargers and electrical items, the whole room needs a good make over as does the rest of the hotel
the food was poor, virtually the same or same type of food everyday, the sun loungers are old, dirty and don’t stay up, some are ok, there’s absolutely nothing to do at the hotel there’s an hour or two of singers, musicians playing while you eat diner several evenings a week.
the toilets in the hotel smelt the room was cleaned everyday although we had to keep asking for toiletries to be topped up, the fridge was empty and never topped up with water
3.5
There is nice beach with variety of water sports, staff are friendly and pleasant
The price of 1,400 dollars a night makes me feel overcharged
