Location is amazing, our of the city with so much to see and do. Whole Refugio team is awesome. Host reserved boats to and from Leticia, as well as organized tours for a reasonable price. Power was typically only on for certain times of the day, you’re deep in the Amazon, what do you expect? Bug nets above bed were in good condition. Everything was kept very clean and organized the whole time.
Bed was hard. Water was sometimes difficult to come by, but always available if you asked.

Great location, they had rubber boots, many accomedations traveling from Puerto Narino. Nice food, simple, nice birds to see, short walk to the tower, but you needed the rubber boots- you could walk to Puerto Narino - Carlos spoke enough English yeah
Beautiful grounds, ok pool needed more water, heated by the sun
Good sunset on the tower
Dogs bark when anyone arrives - morning or night, limited electricity and WiFi (slow)- Dogs kept us awake

Amazing location. They helped arranged all the transport and activities.

Excellent location, swimmingpool, very nice hosts
The experience depends on the extent other people consider your presence when coming home late/getting up early...

I usually don’t write reviews. The property is perfect to experience Amazon jungle and the property owner was very friendly and organized all the trips for us. Had an amazing stay

Breakfast was good. The location is superb, reached by a short boat ride from Puerto Narino (or you can walk for about 30 minutes). They run all day and into the evening. Carlos is a superb host. Laid back, nothing fazes him. He will arrange any boat trips: Lake Tarapoto, San Antonio, the Peruvian island in the middle of the river, Piranha fishing, kayaking, whatever. Unlike Trip Advisor etc, where you are funneled into a ridiculously overpriced tour, these are casual but ordered affairs. You and the boatman may be the only participants. Yes, and very reasonable prices. Or you might want to go for a night walk, straight out of the hotel and into the jungle. Fantastic. The bedrooms are clean; the netting over the bed is in good order. It may not be the Hilton but it's certainly not a rough backpacker joint. There is a large main room for dining, a well-stocked bar, and a verandah overlooking an exotic garden and the Amazon river. Oh yes, and the swimming pool is big. I would return anytime.
It would have been nice to get some hot water from the shower. It was the same in the hotels I used in Leticia.
But this is the Amazon, not Beverly Hills. What do you expect? Even now, in a superb hotel in Cali, there's no hot shower water. Maybe it's a national thing. Call the president!

Very comfortable beds, it’s a clean place and there are very kind people here. Mrs Zoraida and Mr Carlos are the best, they give you good advises, recommendations and always are willing to help you with what you need

What an amazing place! The moment I arrived, I knew it was something very special. The views and sounds of the birds from the reserve are unforgettable. Aswell, the tours organised by the reserve were a magic experiences. Every night, the freshest tastiest food was served, normally fish from the river. Of course the most special thing was the team :) Carlos and Zoraida did everything to make my time there perfect and I felt really comfortable with them. I can’t recommend Eware more!
Nada :)

The views were amazing. Carlos was super friendly and helpful and booked our boat both ways. Rooms were clean and nice. Would 100% recommend.

Carlos and his mother were incredible hosts. We were in frequent communication throughout our trip and they helped us with ferry reservations and arranging tours. The pool was refreshing on hot afternoons.

Location was perfect. Carlos is a great host and his guides (Elio!) and tours are awesome.

Carlos and Zoraida made our stay perfect. We had good communication beforehand and they accommodated our family perfectly. The hotel is perfectly located with respect to all trips we wanted to do. Carlos arranged everything for us with professionalism and took great care of us. I wouldn't imagine going anywhere else in Colombian Amazonas. The place is quiet, the pool great after hot days in the jungle, the food offers fresh fish and fruits from the region. I will come back to Eware for sure

Highly recommend! Carlos is super helpful and kind host. U can get to Puerto Nariño by boat (approx 5 min, ask Carlos) or by foot (jungle path, I guess approx 40 min). They offer lunch and dinner (approx 18-20000 COP), fish were delicious (every dinner was different). Room was clean, bed comfy. There is built wooden viewpoint in the property, perfect for sunsets. They offer tours for reasonable prices. In the night u can hear sound of jungle (for us really relaxing). I guess they use generator for electricity, so usually there wasn’t electricity during the day, but was turned on approx 18:00. It was also part of adventure :) We felt really welcome. Approx 10 min by foot there is hostel, where u can see rescued monkeys and parrots.
Weak pressure in the sink in the room, in the shower was better.

Perfect location for what we were looking for - set in the middle of the jungle in a quiet place, but easily accessible from Puerto Nariño. We took the public boat from Leticia (which Carlos and Zoraida kindly reserved for us) and then Carlos picked us up from Puerto Nariño.
The tours we did with them were excellent and very reasonably priced. We went over to a Peruvian village and explored the flooded forest there and saw lots of sloths. We also had a great lunch there. We also enjoyed the jungle walks (including a night walk!) and the trip to Lake Tarapoto, where we swam in the lake, saw eagles and pink and grey dolphins, and fished for piranhas. We loved our guide Danny, who was very knowledgeable, helpful, and full of enthusiasm!
The pool was very welcome to cool off from the heat!
We were impressed that the place had good WiFi in the evenings given its location.
Shower was often just a little dribble or didn't run at all, but things like thid are to be expected in the Amazon!

The staff are incredibly friendly, they are very attentive and helpful when booking tours. The tours are good value for money particularly the Peru trip to see sloths. If a traveller does not want to book a tour and wants the freedom to select their own activities, this is the place to go. They really make you feel welcome. The grounds are fantastic as well.
There was a mix up with one of our tours which was not the hotels fault, we ended up returning earlier than we had paid for. However, Carlos was really apologetic and offered us an alternative activity to make up for the extra time we now had. They handled it really well.

This property is located about 10 minutes boat ride from Puerto Narino (or about 25 minutes walk). It is very green and lush, and there are so many birds about the property. It's tucked into the jungle, but right on the bank of the river. So beautiful. The property is very quiet at night. The watchtower is a magical place to watch the sunset (wear LOTS of bug spray). Was able to rent a canoe and explore the area nearby for very cheap. The hosts are very helpful in arranging all your tours. "Next door" is a hostel were you can buy bananas to feed to the tiny monkeys that live in the trees nearby. The breakfast was mediocre, and the room I had was probably the worst in the place since there were no outside facing windows and the light usually didn't work. But all the other rooms seemed to have outside facing windows, and chilling on the hammocks on the patio was very nice. For the price, it can't be beat. The swimming pool was definitely a highlight and such a nice treat after a HOT day in the jungle. Also, I loved the cats and dogs on the property. The hosts and cleaning staff were all very nice. :)
Light in the room usually didn't work. Wifi was not great, but I was in the jungle to disconnect, so not a big issue! Toilets in bathrooms were often not functioning well.

A beautiful place to stay. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, nice meals, good tours available, loved the wildlife. We needed wifi for an unexpected meeting and Carlos went above and beyond to make sure it was working for us. Thank you!
The only thing I will say is if you’re a foreigner, bring your own water. Even though they say it’s potable, my partner got sick after drinking it. Everything else was perfect 👍

Everything. It was an incredible experience. Amazing staff, food, and guides.
That I had to leave!

Beautiful lodge in close proximity to Puerto Nariño. We loved everything about this place, clean rooms, beautiful grounds, big clean pool (which was a lifesaver after long hike in selva). Carlos and his team were doing excellent job to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. He organized our trips according to our expectations (we were focused on seeing as many pink dolphins as possible). You can have meals at the lodge or take a boat to Puerto Nariño (5 minutes ride) and enjoy meal there. You can also take a short 20 mins hike (can be a little muddy) to the town. From the view tower you can observe birds which frequent the area. There is even wifi available, not great, but you are in the Amazon.

Lovely location, basic rooms/facilities but sufficient for a few days stay. Great swimming pool that helped with the heat. Breakfast was lovely and we paid extra for dinner and evening meals, all prices were very cheap. They offered lots of tours although our Spanish is not good enough to take advantage of them. They currently have a Manatee in their lake rehabilitating and will be released back into the Amazon in June :-)
The town is accessible by boat or 30 minute walk in Wellies
Nothing that was not due to the location we were in i.e. Jungle :-)

Beautifully located hotel right on the river bank with the jungle behind us. Carlos the host is perfect. We loved it.

Amazing place, calm and relaxing with unbelievably great hosts. Great place to enjoy Amazonas and trip around. Traditional breakfast with chocolate scrambled eggs and fruits and coffee. They provide quite a range of activities including a trip to local indigenous community, rainforest, lakes Tatapoto etc. No problem to get a ride to the village or a 20-30 min walk.

Zoraida , Carlos and family were very friendly and helpful. They organised our trips with professionalism.
The food was delicious and they cooked the fish we caught.
Great to cool off in the pool after hot day trips.
Puerto Narino is a short walk away but they are always there to take you back and forth by boat.
The views are amazing and the wildlife is out of this world !! An incredible experience.
We feel it holds a place in our hearts .
We had to leave .
