The hotel reservation was cancelled at 12:00 ,2 hours before checking in. I had to make alternative arrangements

Friendly staff
Mold, stinks, ENTIRE carpet dirty and stinky, lukewarm water no way to make it hot, only 2 electricity sockets in a room, they dont answer the phone. Probably the worst hotel ive been to my entire life and I mean it. Look at pictures yourself. We booked 2 nights and stayed only one.
Parking on site costs £15 for one night.

The minute I could leave this dump and go home
I've seen farm accommodation for the animals that has been cleaner than this flea infested hell whole

Great location. 5 min walk from the beach. Shops and restaurants nearby. Fairly quiet, bar an incident which wasn't the hotels fault (see negatives). Room was quite spacious and had four windows.
Tried to charge me twice on arrival. Also parking is double the cost of the street parking. Hotel is very dirty and the bed I was in the springs had gone. Curtains were also falling down. Car (or house) alarm went off ALL night, the night we stayed but this wasn't the fault of the hotel as mentioned before.

Place is a bit tired and the bed was uncomfortable. But on the whole it was OK.

nothing god awful place is a flea pit - avoid like the plague - we went elsewhere currently seeking refund from booking.com which is taking a while
we had to hurry away from the hotel as it was 6pm on a Friday night !!! we could not stay there - i think its somewhere where prostitutes would be taken as you would not use it for a married couple of nearly 30 years
we arrived and left at the same time as the room was awful - currently seeking refund from booking .com - im a seasoned traveller and this place was rank - we arrived and left and went elswhere - also they want "15pound cash for parking now"
room 315 up in loft with pigeons

Noise level. Banging doors. NoTV.

The staff were polite and helpful when needed. Location was good.
Carpets really old and have stains. Smell of damp almost everywhere in the building. No fridge in the room especially as they don't serve food.

the location was great and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
a bit tired, not great decorative order.

Reasonable value for money in a good location. Easy check in and friendly staff.
Rooms need updating. Sash window had no lock, mirror was broken and parking nearby was expensive. Only found that put after we had booked.

Probably the worst stay I've had in the UK. Previous guests food in a cupboard draw, frayed and moth eaten carpets, spring worn mattress, smelly bathroom, broken furniture. I could go on.....

Location was close to beach and plenty of restaurants.
Hotel was very tired and in serious need of upgrades. Carpets stained and worn, paint peeling, curtains loose, among other visible imperfections.

Staff very helpful and chatty and nice to talk to. Bed is clean. I was happy having plenty of tea and coffee provided in the room and also I was happy I had a hairdryer in the room
Crumbs on the sofa. (Sorry guys but the sofa needs a bit of attention ! ) Carpets are grotty and the whole hotel needs to be completely refurbished with new furnishings, but that is the owner of the hotel's responsibility , the owner needs to invest.

Very pleasant and spacious twin room, large and clean en suite with bath and shower. Friendly staff. Excellent value for money.
It is a little dated in some respects, but this was more than made up for by the overall experience and value.

Shock reviews we were lucky. Our room was comfortable. Bathroom in good repair. Curtains needed attachment to track. Location was very good for Church st cafes.
Basic no frills no lift . Our bags were taken to our 1st floor room.
Parking fee request on arrival and in cash 15 pounds per night. This was only in fine print at end of the booking.com information.Building needs revamp. .read reviews before booking.

not impressed at all. very shabby and not worth the money paid for it. the bathrooms were past their best and rundown, the blinds on the windows were falling off. not worth the price and disappointed at booking.com for hosting a place like this on their website.

the location
Dilapidated appearance. Worn carpets. Torn curtains hanging off the rail. Torn net curtains. Filthy windows. Musty smell. No water pressure for the shower. A toilet bag left behind was lost despite efforts to contact the hotel the day after we left. Nobody ever answers the phone. This property should be removed from the Booking.com website because. it damages your reputation.
