This is the one! If you are looking for a high-quality place to stay and a great "RIGHT NEXT TO THE BEACH" LOCATION - you've found the place! This is our second home and only rental; we "self-manage" and pride ourselves on our hands on approach in maintaining its condition and making sure our guests are well cared for. This home with Oceanfront pool (pool is main photo in listing) is located on NC-12 beach road. It is a "second row" home directly behind the Oceanfront homes. Across the street are the Epstein St. Beach access (with ramp) and Village Beach Club Private Oceanfront Pool (entry included, no additional fees, open daily Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend and then every weekend in September.) The beach club offers food & drink service.
Located at Milepost 14.5, the photo with the red star shows our home and the closest beach access. This beach access features a lifeguard stand, bathhouse and parking. Getting to the beach is quick and safe, no need to walk down beach road to get there! It’s as easy as a short stroll down the quiet cul de sac from the house and directly across the street from our neighborhood via crosswalk is a beach access point.
From the décor to the updated, high-quality furnishings, you will feel as though you are staying at a friend's house and not a rundown rental. A FEW THINGS THAT SET US APART FROM THE OTHER RENTALS:
*Local tip*: If you're comparing our rental to any others, be sure to ask them about their check in times (and if their time is *guaranteed*) and if bed linens are provided. Most Outer Banks rentals have later check in times (sometimes as late as 6pm or later if they're running behind or don't have enough cleaning staff) and either don't provide linens or don't have beds made upon your arrival. Probably two of the most important things to consider when renting in the Outer Banks and that no one wants to deal with after a long drive!
EARLIER CHECK IN TIME
Our check in time of 3pm (and *possibly* even earlier if requested ahead of time) is guaranteed and one of the earliest in the Outer Banks area. Because this is our only rental and we aren't part of a large property management group that has multiple houses to clean, our renters benefit from much earlier and guaranteed check in times compared to most other rentals in the area so you can get your vacation started even earlier!
BEDS MADE UPON ARRIVAL
We provide all bed linens and most all beds (except the top two bunk beds) made upon arrival, another amenity most Outer Banks rentals don't provide.
BEDROOMS:
Bedroom 1 - lower-level King with full bathroom
Bedroom 2 - mid-level King with full bathroom
Bedroom 3 - mid-level Queen with shared full bathroom
Bedroom 4 - mid-level, 2 twin bunk bed sets (4 twin beds total, top two bunks best suited for children) with shared full bathroom
This is our home away from home and we have ensured all mattresses are very comfortable. In addition, the mid-level King bedroom has a Tempurpedic brand mattress. All bedrooms have both blackout blinds AND blackout curtains ensuring you can sleep in as long as you’d like!
POOL:
Open daily Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend and then every weekend in September.
Right across the street are the Epstein St. Beach access and the Village Beach Club private members only Oceanfront pool. The Village Beach Club Oceanfront Pool is included with your stay. The Beach Club also serves food and drink! They have plenty of parking as well as a separate private beach access so that you can park and access the beach without ever having to walk through the pool area. It is a private membership pool and, therefore, typically doesn’t get too crowded. *Pool hours 10am-5pm, subject to change due to private events they may occasionally close an hour early at 4pm or even earlier due to weather although they will reopen after threat passes*
POOL FOOD/DRINK/AMENITIES:
The beach club does offer food and drink (they have smoothies and also have a bar) and have wait staff that take and deliver poolside orders which is a great amenity especially for those with little ones! It’s also great for those long, lazy beach days where you can just walk over to the club from the beach and grab a snack or something refreshing to drink, made to order, and walk right back to your chair. The club also has a double tennis court. We provide both adult and children tennis and pickleball rackets and balls with our rental.
TV's/WI-FI:
Every bedroom has a flat screen TV and Roku streaming (with Hulu Live TV for news/cable channels) as well as a large screen TV in the upstairs family room. They are all smart TV's. Entire home has upgraded Wi-Fi. The bunk bedroom has one of the largest TV’s in the house, we find that the kids love to hang in there to play video games or watch movies together :)
OUTDOOR SHOWER AND GRILL:
In the covered carport area you will find an outdoor shower. We do have a propane grill (propane provided), stools, Adirondack chairs and string lights for some hang out time while you grill :)
LAYOUT:
The heart of the home, on the top/3rd floor, has an open floor plan kitchen, dining area (seats 6), kitchen island/bar (seats 4) and family room. The top level has a back deck off the kitchen, with a picnic table and 4 high top chairs and high top table, that faces beach road and this is where you will get your Ocean view. There is a washer and dryer on this level as well as a half bathroom. There are two flights of stairs from the bottom level to the top level.
KITCHEN:
The kitchen includes everything you would need to prepare, eat and store food - including spices. We provide both a Keurig coffee maker and/or drip coffee maker for your morning coffee on the back deck. We also provide a Ninja Blender. We do not have an ice maker but provide ice cube trays. There is also plenty of room in the freezer for bagged ice.
ONLINE GUIDEBOOK/DOCUSIGN AGREEMENT:
Upon booking you will receive a message with a link to our online guidebook that we are constantly updating with more detailed information about the house and area as well as our suggestions for activities, sightseeing, restaurants and bars.
Also, a signed and returned DocuSign short term rental agreement will be required prior to check in. We reserve the right to cancel if the rental agreement is not signed. We are required by the NORTH CAROLINA VACATION RENTAL ACT to have a separate written rental agreement with our renters. (This act requires that landlords or real estate brokers provide a written rental agreement to tenants who rent a vacation property for less than 90 days.)

Wheeleez brand beach cart (extra-large balloon tires make carting across sand easy!), 9 Beach chairs, large Neso brand shade tent, 1 small "12-can" Rtic cooler, boogie boards, beach toys, wagon, pickleball set of 4 & adult/child tennis rackets and balls for use at beach club tennis courts. *
*INFANT ITEMS:
A pack n play is available, but a sheet is not provided. You will need to bring one for your stay if you intend on using it. We do have infant spoons/forks and plastic bowls and cups for children. We do not have a highchair or baby gates but can supply rental information for a company that will deliver and then pick these items up after your stay.

Hand soap is provided in the kitchen and all bathroom sinks. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dishwasher and laundry detergent, dish soap and trash bags are provided for your entire stay. However, please see below as toilet paper and paper towels are NOT provided for your entire stay.*

We loved staying at your beautiful beach house to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from Wake Forest! The house was perfect! The location is wonderful, the house was very clean, and the amenities were wonderful. My grandchildren loved swimming in the ocean and then ending by swimming in the pool at the clubhouse. Checkin and checkout were easy. We wish we could have stayed for a month. Thanks again for a wonderful time in your home! 💛

What an amazing place to stay! It was so clean , nice and roomy. We loved the location right across from the beach and the beach club was nice. We totally appreciated having starter paper, products, fresh flowers, and packaged clean towels.
We were a group of 10 and everyone slept comfortably in nice beds. The kitchen was stocked with spices and spray cooking oil, etc. things that you might need for cooking but don’t want to have to purchase. We also really appreciated all the beach necessities. When flying in, it’s impossible to bring chairs, wagon, umbrella, cooler, and all the things. The host was very accommodating and easy to work with.
We would definitely recommend this home for a Family stay. Thank you for a fabulous family vacation!

I actually don’t want to say how awesome this place is because I want it to be available next time we go on vaca!!! It was perfect - pictures don’t do it justice. The house is inviting and warm. The beds were comfortable (rarely the case!). Everything we could have thought of needing was there - towels, sheets, blankets, every kitchen item imaginable (and we cooked a lot). Location couldn’t be better. The Beach Club that you have access to by staying at this property is the best set up imaginable - less than a block walk, poolside drink and food service, and private beach access. The hosts have thought of everything and you can feel that this property is their home. Loved.Every.Minute.

Fabulous beds and mattresses. Superb Wi-Fi and TV sets in almost all rooms.
Krauts gave us excellent info on a local beach photographer and dinner locations.

Went to OBX for a long weekend, this house was perfect for our group of 3 couples and 2 single friends. Close to everything we needed. The house appears to have been updated recently and is beautiful and super clean! The owners were very responsive to questions I had before arriving and the house has cute little signs all around that give you answers to most questions once you are there. Very impressed!!

The home was exactly as described, beds were very comfortable, tasteful decor, fully stocked kitchen utensils and location is central to shops, activities and restaurants. We enjoyed staying at the house. It met all our needs. It was clean and spacious. We spent a lot of time on the top floor where the living and dining rooms and kitchen are. We liked the washer and dryer and the dishwasher. We also liked the deck off the kitchen because we could see the ocean. There were tvs in every room but we didn't spend a lot of time watching tv because we were out seeing the local tourist attractions which were all close by. Great internet connection for those of us who had work and school stuff to do. Nice neighborhood and easy walk to a really nice beach. Quick communication with the owners.

Perfect Getaway!
My friends and I rent a beach house in the OBX every year and we were lucky enough to get to stay at Scott and Sally's beautiful home for a few days. Their home was the perfect size, perfect location, and had everything we could have needed! Scott and Sally went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing and communicated with me very clearly throughout the entire process. I would love to come back to this home in the future! Feels like home
We loved this home! So comfortable for the whole family. Kids really enjoyed sitting on all the decks. Nice when they wanted to get away from the adults. Great location! Just walk across the street to the beach, and having pool nearby was a bonus. So much to do in the area. Host was so helpful with questions about fishing charters, and places to eat. The seafood boils at nearby fish markets was a perfect recommendation.
We definitely would want to stay here again.
Also loved that they had beach chairs available.

2021 - 4th of July Family Vacation
The property is in a great location. It's a quick walk to the beach and pool and a short drive to the many restaurants and activities. The home is light and bright with comfortable furnishings and a lovely view of the water. For our crew, the highlight of the house was the outside shower. We also loved the extra charging outlets next to each bed. If you go over the 4th of July, you can see fireworks from the front of the house that are being put off in Manteo or walk down to the beach to see the fireworks that are put off at the pier. They are both a good distance away but it was perfect for our crew. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had and obviously take great pride in sharing their home.

Excellent get away
From the beginning, Scott and Sally have been wonderful. They were responsive right away from the time we booked and throughout our stay. Everything was perfect. We had one minor issue but once we communicated this to Scott, he was very quick to get the issue resolved. We absolutely loved our time and will certainly be interested in booking again!

We went as a group of 9 which included 5 kids of 6-11yrs age. The minute we entered the house, we knew this would be a very memorable stay. Sally & Scott, the property owners are very nice people. There was not one thing that I can think of that could be done to make the place better than what it is. Scott/Sally were very responsive to my emails before booking the property and also during our stay. Walk to the beach is literally 3 minutes. We were offered to stay for some extra time on the day of checkout for free but too bad we had other plans for the later part of the day and had to turn down that offer. If there is one place we will always go to when we visit OBX, then this is it. Hopefully we will go back again later in summer 2021 or next time whenever it is. Thank you Scott and Sally for making our stay very pleasant.

We went as a group of 9 which included 5 kids of 6-11yrs age. The minute we entered the house, we knew this would be a very memorable stay. Sally & Scott, the property owners are very nice people. There was not one thing that I can think of that could be done to make the place better than what it is. Scott/Sally were very responsive to my emails before booking the property and also during our stay. Walk to the beach is literally 3 minutes. We were offered to stay for some extra time on the day of checkout for free but too bad we had other plans for the later part of the day and had to turn down that offer. If there is one place we will always go to when we visit OBX, then this is it. Hopefully we will go back again later in summer 2021 or next time whenever it is.

Great getaway! Plenty of space to spread out and well stocked kitchen. We all enjoyed being that close to the beach access! Good location and the Krauts were super friendly to work with! We would love to book again!

Great place to relax
Awesome house with some really great outdoor "hanging out" spaces. I went with my adult children and a few friends. Everyone had great space to come together and eat a meal and play games, and equally important.... go to their own outside space and chill out. Very well furnished and very convenient to shopping and dining. Scott and Sally were great hosts!

Property was OK. Beach was a challenge
Some complication in understanding the rental process. It would help if there were bullet points for key/ most important items to know.
The bathroom on 2nd floor not cleaned. Outside lighting was wanting. TV in master bedroom did not have a signal.
And lastly; the beach with the access close to the house was a problem. Had to walk a long way due to construction expanding the beach.
