Amazing view and hosts!

It was a perfect stay! Cidalia, her son and all the staff are great hosts! Their kindness made you feel home. The breakfast is made with things from the garden and it is delicious. And the view…. The view is just breathtaking! Can’t wait to come back!

Well… the wasps are a bit annoying and it would be even more perfect if they have a restaurant. But these do not change the amazing stay! So do not miss it if you are visiting Douro!

One of the best experiences so far! A nice boutique Hotel (5 rooms only) within the vineyards. Great pool, cozy interior. The managing lady was really kind and helpful. Nice breakfast with fresh fruits, eggs, sweet cake :) And breathtaking view from the rooms panoramic windows to Duoro valley! Amazing!!!

Wi-Fi was bad in the room. It was OK in the lobby though. But it’s fine, the hotel is located on the slope without any other buildings around:)

The dreamiest stay you could imagine!

Absolutely loved our stay here. A friend and I booked this as a place to enjoy the Duoro valley, and enjoy we did - the views are absolutely spectacular, the bed was comfortable (and again, with bonus incredible views each morning and night), bathroom was well equipped and very nice, and we had everything we could have asked for during our stay. My friend and I caught a taxi from the train station and it cost roughly 30 euros to get to the Quinta, which was more than reasonable; I could see it being easier to have a car given the more remote location of where you're staying, but our host very generously assisted us with calling a taxi when we needed to get back to into town to leave! Other than that, we booked tours that picked us up at our location, so there were no problems there. We got in late the first night and were able to walk to the closeby small town for dinner (about a 30 minute walk), which was much appreciated. There is also house wine you can buy for an evening of relaxing and enjoying the spectacular views! This trip exceeded our expectations in every way.

Pristine view, tender hospitality, delight to the senses

So beautiful, so peaceful and so warm. My favorite stay ever! A pristine view over the river and the mountains unmatched in Douro. Sitting on a hammock just enjoying the senses of the terroir, being embraced by nature in all its magnitude. I could have stayed on that moment forever. Silence. Cidalia welcomes you as family, genuine tenderness and so much knowledge to share. The breakfast is amazing, served to you on the terrace by Cidalia’s son, a young and inventive Chef. Two hiking trails depart from the property (8k and 20km for the most brave) and are a great way to discover the region. Last but not least the mattress and pillows are very comfortable! A jewel I wish many of others to find!

Overall, from the moment you walk in, you know it’s a special place. the owner was the sweetest and it felt like you were visiting family. The views were unexplainable and the breakfast in the morning was perfect! I would highly recommend for couples !

It was not near any close by restaurants but it was also part of the experience being away from civilization.

Perfect

Wow wow wow, this was above and beyond ant expectations we had. Cdelya is a angle walking on earth, hosting different people in her house making every single one feel at home away from home. Her son is a great chef(!!) and the breakfast was just perfect! We really hope to come back one day, this was our highlight of our trip!

The place is hard to get to - it’s a very windy drive on an incredibly narrow road. It was fun the first time, but quickly became a struggle.

Highly recommended, amazing stay!

The stay was everything we could wish for and more! Spacious and zen rooms (and bathroom), amazing terrace and pool! The view is superb! The sound of nature (or sound of silence ;) is to die for. Breakfast was great! Staff was very kind, helpful, very welcoming! The place also has a fridge, wich is very very nice to store some food/drinks.

Quinta de Santa Marinha offers spectacular views and an extraordinary host in CeDalia.

My favorite part of my stay was CeDalia. Forgive me if I spelled her name incorrectly. She was an absolutely lovely hostess. She made both Emma and I feel right at home.

It would be great if the Quinta can return to serving dinner each night. It was difficult to find food - but this is not the fault of where I stayed.

I can not say enough good things about our stay at Santa Marinha! The view is breathtaking! The rooms are beautiful and the staff is outstanding! Our host and the proprietor is a thoroughly delightful woman. She is warm welcoming and charming. The rest of the staff was excellent as well. They were extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were an amazing spread, with cooked to order eggs (done perfectly), all served on the balcony overlooking the gorgeous Douro Valley. This was like staying with family in one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.

The place was perfect! and we had a great time. From the Quinta there is an amazing view, maybe even the prettiest in the Douro Valley. All the staff were very helpful, great breakfast outside at the balcony. Such a calming place to be and we really recommend. The Quinta is about 15-30 minutes away from the villages around.

The history, location, the rooms , amazing warm feel, the host and her son and staff , attention to detail and helpfulness with places to visit. absolutely nothing was too much trouble and their total aim was for us to enjoy our experience and the breakfasts were amazing.

Wonderful people and stunning views.

Our hosts Cidalia and Derei were so hospitable and welcoming. Cidalia gave us wonderful and clear recommendations for touring the area and for restaurants. Their Quinta is beautiful with stunning views. We stayed for 3 wonderful nights. Derei made delicious breakfasts and cakes.

Maybe a TV in the room with movies but not a must for most people.
