Brilliant location, friendly staff, clean room and communal areas

Breakfast was very disappointing and no 'menu' for it either. Cheap sausages! Breakfast weekdays is only served 8-9 which is way too early for us. Unfortunately I've come to realise a double bed is way too small for my husband and I to have a decent nights sleep as we are used to a King bed. The room was very clean but had recently been repainted so the smell of paint was quite strong- an air freshener in the room to mask the smell wouldn't have gone amiss. There also wasn't a lamp shade on the ceiling light just a bare bulb! Our room also lacked a towel rail in the bathroom or coat hooks for wet coats.

Lovely location, friendly staff, nice reasonably priced meals and drinks. it has been recently refurbished, we had room 2, sea view and a nice decor. The hotel has great outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the scenery or just people watch. Really do hope to return soon.

Minor personal preference, I like a firm pillow.

The breakfast was very good. You could have had anything you asked for from the usual breakfast fare. Staff were all very friendly and there was a pleasant atmosphere. The location in Kippford is very good.

No curtains at the bedroom window only blinds which made it rather light in early morning. We got the impression that the menu for lunch and dinner did not change very much.
