Very well equipped house. Hosts invited us for an drink and snacks on the first evening. They were so helpful, suggesting thinks we might do. Boulangerie only 5 minutes walk away. Comfy bed and plenty of space to unpack. Good kitchen come living room. You needed to be tall to reach cupboards. Nice location in quiet village. Had bikes and easy cycle to tow path and into Verdun.
Sound insulation wasn't great and we could hear our hosts in their house below but not a problem as they weren't noisy.

The kitchen was clean and the other rooms to. The area was beautifull and no many traffic and noice
to many furniture in the bedroom and kitchen. I had to pay extra money for the towels. 3 x €6 for 3 persons. 1 x would be oke but is to much. we were living on the first floor. the stair was diificult to go op and down. For persons who have problems with there legs or sit in a wheelchair it is very difficult.

Christian and Isa are very welcoming hosts. We were greeted with juice and home-made Portuguese tarts and had a nice chat because we speak French. Everything was very clean. The village location is charming and peaceful and it is easy to get to the Verdun battle fields. You can park just outside the house. The price is very reasonable, and that's partly why I chose it; no point paying to stay in a luxurious place when you're out all day long hiking and sight-seeing. On the one day we were back a little early we sat in the garden, which was lovely, and talked to the various cats. There's a huge Cora supermarket not far away.
I was really startled to discover towels are not provided. We rented them for 5 euros each, but this really should be mentioned as it seems very odd. (When I was double-checking the booking.com website to see if I had missed this I noticed it says there's an ensuite bathroom, but obviously there isn't. There is one bathroom as expected - very unusual decor.) The double bed (although not the pillows) was very comfortable but our 25-year-old son struggled with his single bed, aimed at children, not adults, so not a good choice if you go with friends. We forgot to ask for the wifi code on the first evening, then the next we didn't see them, and after it didn't seem worth it - but it would have been nice if that had been written down somewhere. There's only one armchair, so you need to be happy to sit around the kitchen table. I had to suppress an urge to de-clutter. But it was good value overall (except for the issue of the towels).

This is an upstairs apartment in the host's home. The hosts were lovely and welcomed us into their home on arrival and provided us with some tasty home-made cakes. The apartment consisted of two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen/meals area with a TV (no English channels though) and a table for four and we enjoyed spending the evenings around the table. Parking was outside the property on the street but it was easy to park and seemed safe. The wi-fi and heating worked well.
Towels were not provided - not sure if that was an oversight in our case or whether it is a regular issue. Our French language skills are very limited so we had some difficulty communicating with the hosts (who do not speak English) although an iPad with Google translate helped somewhat.

Very comfortable apartment above the owners' unit. The owners were very welcoming, offered us cookies and drink upon arrival. Luckily one of us spoke some French. We were able to communicate quite well. A lovely family. After entering a common entry, the unit has a separate staircase and door (so you can come/go separately.) Parking is on the street outside the townhouse. There is a Cora supermarket in Verdun, on the border of Haudainville, only a few minutes drive from the apartment. Fyi, towels are extra. A set including a bath and hand towel was €10.
