Lovely rooms, lovely hotel in general, very helpful staff
Our room was quite close to the bar and the music was really loud, even when no one was in there

This is the second time we’ve stayed and it was perfect. Our room was much quieter than before. If you’re doing a hike, definitely book a massage at the hostel - Maya was amazing.

Nice historic building because of that has cool character
The dorm rooms were basic that’s fair enough

Bonito hotel me gusto

The rooms and facilities were all clean, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The communal areas were very social with events and activities, it was a really fun stay! The food was also very good.

My favourite hostel I stayed at during my time in Guatemala! The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to help you out with recommendations, booking shuttles etc . As a solo traveller this made me feel so safe and looked after! Selina feels like a luxurious place to stay. I stayed in both a private room and a dorm and the dorms were large, very clean, with a lovely private bathroom. The common areas are great. Such a relaxing place to stay in Antigua. Thank you!
Nothing! I was sad to leave.

The private room was great, beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. our son was in the dorm rooms and he said they were also great and breakfast was nice. Pool with a slide was also a nice touch
Although we had a great time here and the rooms were great, the man at reception had a very negative vibe, he was not helpful at all and did not smile once. I have not travelled here before and when I asked what the best way around town is he said that Uber works here but in a very rude tone. This was attitude was echoed through the whole stay from check in to check out, which is a shame as my son has stayed at multiple Selina’s and said the vibe is always good. Unfortunately we were not the only people who noticed this, we over heard other people saying the same thing in the bar and bonded over our shared negative experience. I would recommend that someone more cheerful and helpful on the front desk and moving him to back of house to fold towels and sheets where his negativity will not rub off on what would otherwise be a great hostel with nice vibes. If not this maybe some lessons on smiling and general communication would be helpful.

I loved the chilled out vibe at the hostel - a little oasis in Antigua!
The staff could definitely be more friendly and welcoming! For the price we paid especially...

Loved Antigua. Selina had great facilities for relaxing after seeing the city.
Nice, But private rooms were over priced.

Shared areas were cool and wifi was good compared to what we found in other places
False advertising, photos included in the location like rooftop for yoga don't exist. Also, the yoga class was canceled without warning, although we asked for it the day before.
Private rooms with private rooms are connected to the overall bathrooms for all shared dorms, so they are not really private despite you having to pay a lot of extra money for them. A lot of noise all day and night.
Rude and cold male receptionist on arrival who didn't solve any of our questions and looked annoyed by our presence.
There is a lot of construction around, and the hostel street is closed.
Very expensive compared to what you get. Not recommended.

Comfortable, quiet, excellent vibe with other travellers.
Selina's are always on the high end of pricey as far as hostels go. But usually they exceed in other ways, yoga marketing is deceptive with roof being inaccessible for a long time. But most notably the front end staff and majority of bar staff seem to feel entitled to work there.

Music in the aisle didn't let me sleep, overpriced for a hostel, bathroom was small and uncomfortable
2.0 / 10.0
The breakfast was very tasty!
Convenient location
This was one of the most expensive place we stayed on our trip in Central America and the price per night was not justified.
The music was blaring until 11pm at night and from 10am, if you are staying here for work I would suggest not as you can’t hear your calls. We asked to turn the music down slightly as I couldn’t hear my phone conversations in the room and they didn’t.
The bathroom had a gap in the wall that connected to another bathroom so you could hear every noise from someone else - woke up to the sound of someone vomiting.
The bar is mètres away from the room so drunk people just wake you up.
Bedding has stains all over the sheets!
Someone next door was shooting birds with an air rifle at 8am in the morning.
There are many hostels/hotels in Antigua that have better facilities and are a lot better value for money. If you value sleep and silence when you are in your room, I would book elsewhere.
Extra fees not listed in the price per night.

beautiful facilities, very clean, beds comfortable. room was available early and got free upgrade.
Very young party scene. I guess that’s what it’s suppose to be like but wish there was more social interaction outside of just that.

Really relaxing and well set out. Good facilities and clean
No separate lockers for.bags. There is a small one for passport and small things

One of my favourite hostels I’ve stayed in. Staff were friendly and helpful, allowing us to store our bags whilst doing the over night volcano hike and arrange massages for us. They also allowed us to use the on-site showers after checkout.
Easy to walk into the centre of town and good food at the restaurant.
Nothing.

The hostel is very big, have a lot of good spaces, the staff is nice and the wi-fi works wonders
The restroom didnt have a pleasent smell

beautiful hostel, big with lots of areas to chill. toilets and showers were always clean, they had lovely smelling shower gel use. when we were there it wasn’t a party hostel, music was off by 11 but I can imagine if it’s high season it could be later
check in was very long, they didn’t have a great system with having to do something online first, we had to wait for the people in front to get themselves sorted filling out the forms for 20mins.
the private bedroom was very small, was more expensive than other places in Antigua. didn’t get breakfast included when paying nearly £60 a night

Absolutely beautiful hostel, great restaurant and facilities, nice staff and amazing activities! Location is perfect, you could walk anywhere because it is super central. We did the Acatenango vulcano tour from Selina, which was an absolute blast.
BED BUGS! Room 1003 and 1004 for sure. 1001 probably. All 4-persons dorms. When we mentioned it and they say there's nothing there. We showed the manager herself, but still they do not acknowledge them. The place is infested with them (wooden headboards, beds and desks). With the amounts that were there I think you have to burn all the wood... They let me wash some clothes, but they did not seem to know how to handle bed bugs (or not care?). Maybe time for a bed bugs policy. Also, they made me feel like a bad person complaining for nothing. The 4th room was an private room which was good though! If they would fix this problem I would recommend this place for sure. Hopefully they will take it seriously now.

I stayed in a shared female dorm and the bed was super comfortable. Hot water and amazing water pressure. Daily cleaning. The food, drinks and service at the restaurant were incredible. The pool (although very cold water) was relaxing and calm. Very well equipped kitchen, library and exercise space. Staff organizes activities per day and are always willing to help. Overall, one of the best hostels that I’ve stayed in.

Location
We got a room on the second floor, and there is a club beside the hotel, so there is very loud music from 9 am to 10:30 pm. We really want to sleep early but we can't !
To get hot water you have to wait 15 minutes. It's ok but the hotel needs to say it!!!
