The apartment was exactly what we needed in the part of town we wanted to stay. It was clean, well furnished, and comfortable. Will definitely stay there again when visiting Southampton.
3.5
Great location, walkable to everything. Bed was very good. Appreciated that heat and lights were turned on, when we arrived at night. Kitchen was well equipped. Square footage was misleading as you lose a lot of space due to the staircase in the middle of the room.
The bed chesterfield was very uncomfortable. Privacy issues in lower unit. The pic is of the upper unit, which we would rent, next time. Stopper doesn't hold water, shower hose connection sprays out water. As a holiday flat, basics like salt and pepper should be provided because no one that I know packs that in their suitcase.

Great location, modern, clean
It was freezing cold, the Salus portable heating control panel did not work, I assume it has run out of battery, as it didn’t turn on. The hose for the handheld shower also needs replacing, as water was coming out of everywhere, so not really usable. Also, although the sheets were clean, the actual mattress/ duvet smells, so wasn’t pleasant.
4.0
clean and tidy close to town and had every thing you needed
the only thing I did not like was the fact you had to be out by 10 am on the Sunday morning or be charged 50

Apartment was very clean and location is very convenient, will gladly stay there again.

The room was super spacious and clean and just what we needed with access to restaurants and activities very close by.
The windows to the property were very old and let not only drafts in, but also lots of outside noise, being kept awake until 4 in the morning both nights was not great! Shame as such a lovely place.

Location and facilities
The photos on the descriptions were not accurate as these depict the property above the flat we rented. We choose the flat because on the pictures was a balcony, but in reality there wasn't one.
Cleanliness was not up to standard and the had to clean the flat. Furthermore we had to bring the utensils to do so as these weren't available in the property.

Great location to walk to everywhere in Southampton. Property was perfect for a few days break in the city. Nice space for myself and my two sons.

Good central location for shopping, parks and entertainment. Apartment very clean. Great little cafeterias a short walk away.
Not given the booked apartment, first floor with balcony ?Booking.com error? Ground floor apartment has upstairs staircase housing taking up large area of living space, which limits access if sofa-bed is also being used, but manageable. Kitchen and toilet cleaning products and a loo roll on arrival would have been good! Not an ideal location if noise and raised voices will stop you sleeping at a weekend, as nearby clubs and bars in full swing until 3:00am.

One of the worst booking experiences we’ve ever had. Apartment is actually much smaller than on the pictures. It’s impossible to sleep on the sofa. And the host refused to provide bedding arrangements for it and the downright started to ignore our messages.

Positives
Nice clean tidy modernised apartment in the heart of Bedford Place. Close to all the shops and local amenities. Easy to book and gain access.
Iron board/ dishwasher /microwave / Freeview and Netflix supplied
Tea and coffee supplied but no milk
Coffee machine but no coffee capsules
Downsides
Issues with privacy as can see through the main lounge blinds/windows into the lounge and bedroom particularly if the bedroom door is not shut. Noticeable at night time.
Next to pub, people walking past looking though window.
Unable to regulate room temperature. Instructions provided but remote control not working.
Only 1 bathroom towel provided, 2 guests!!
Half a toilet roll provided not re-stocked
Shower gel not re-stocked, shampoo available only. No toilet brush.
Washing up liquid provided, no sponges or cloths
No cushions provided for sofa, takes away the homeliness
Coffee table in poor state of repair needs replacing
Can be noisy at times from surrounding flat, can hear all water being used noisy pipes
Parking in rear court yard but not included - short stay parking for a maximum of 3hrs only
Winter feather duvets provided in the middle of summer, not good for people with allergies
No bin bags for any rubbish
Would stay again but essential these things are checked before letting property out.
Pricey considering basics were not supplied. Would expect enough towels, toilet roll and shower gel to be provided as a minimum.

The location was very good.
I booked a spacious flat to stay (old Stables apartment with balcony), but was given the smaller ground floor- being told "a long time guest is staying there".
5.0
Although small, this apartment was perfect for a weekend break for 2 people. It’s been nicely done and is well equipped and modern. There are numerous bars and take always just around the corner. ( and as lockdown was easing, the outside tables were busy and there was a lovely atmosphere) There is also a beautiful park just a 5 minute stroll away. The street is limited to residents parking, but it was fine to stop and unload and there is a car park nearby.

All was very well presented and comfortable, nice little touches like tea and coffee plus the coffee machine and munchies. Netflix was a bonus too.
No parking, but this was explained before on the day.

Location is very good and practical, the flat is very clean, nice and modern .
No parking ,maybe host could leave some parking permits for guests.
No covers/duvet or pillows for sofa bed.

The Apartment was in a nice location, well maintained, close to Southhampton University also close to Salisbury and ASDA which was just about 12mins walk. It was really clean and well equipped with all we needed from dishwasher to washing machine, cooking utensil and oven, infact everything. Prior to our arrival the owner sent a message with all the codes I needed to unlock the house and we truly enjoyed our stay. I would definitely 👍 💯 book again if I have the time and money.. Giving it 5 stars..
To be honest nothing. Except I didnt see a freezer and the ice cream I bought ended u melting but they had a working fridge which was really good.
