Location and space
A secure dog field would have been helpful

Great value for money. It felt really cosy, good use of the space with a lovely open plan Lounge/Dining/Kitchen area which was very sociable. We were welcomed by a Bottle of bubbly and fresh flowers on the table.
Excellently located for rock climbing and walking. 2 pubs within walking distance: The Winking Man, a good straight forward pub with good food; The Olde Rock Inn, very nice gastro-pub.
Overall a lovely place to stay we will be coming back again soon.
Some of the furnishings have seen better days and could do with replacing, but not enough to detract from the overall

Loved the location, surrounded by beautiful views. Close to alot of trails and little villages.
Only thing I think could be changed is maybe getting a smart tv, but that’s just because we have an autistic child that likes to watch certain shows at certain times. She became stressed when she could only watch them on a small device.

Beautiful location, excellent facilities. Over an above our expectations. Beautiful views.

The cottage was spacious and had all cleaning products there. The owner & her daughter were friendly, helpful & gave us good advice on places to visit and eat. Stunning views in every direction. Our dog loved running around the fields.
I can't fault anything with our stay at the cottage. We enjoyed our stay.

The location was superb and Jane the owner was lovely, making us feel very welcome. The property was quite quirky, but comfortable, with a good shower and great heating system that kept the cottage nice and toasty.
The inclusion of a washing machine would have been good, but not the end of the world.

Great location, peaceful with some amazing scenery and plenty of walks on the doorstep. The cottage was lovely, and had plenty of character and good facilities. The huge field next to the cottage was also appreciated by the dog, who kept pestering to run around it!

This was our second stay here and we love it. The cottage is fantastic, so comfy and cozy. The walks are outstanding. The hosts are very attentive and we just simply adore staying here. We will be back again next year.

Our second time visiting and we loved the location and the size of the barn. Was very comfortable for 2 adults, 2 children and 1 dog. The barn had everything covered to make our stay memorable.

Beautiful location, Jane is extremely friendly and helpful. Will stay again.
Nothing, cannot fault the property

easy access to walks from the cottage, far-reaching views, dog-friendly, Prosecco was a welcome treat, comfortable beds and lounge, great shower, plenty of blankets to use, super-chilled owner left us to get on with it (thank you Jane)
kids didn’t like the hit-and-miss WiFi but we adults quite liked that and the kids actually found their own screenless entertainment, eventually. Imagine? The kids want to go back again, and we will.

very cosy, clean and well equiped
nothing to dislike !

There's were walks literally on the door step, host was lovely and informed us what was around. Kids weren't too far away for Alton towers. There's good pub dining in every direction.
Only thing that was a wee bit awkward we arrived Sunday settled in then decided to drive into Leek for snacks etc but everywhere shuts at 4 on a Sunday even the supermarkets luckily we found 1 shop that opens till 10.

Really nice cottage right up on the moors with great walking straight out of the door

The cottage was clean and warm. Perfect for a very chilly February half term! The setting was amazing, great walks with the dog literally on your doorstep.

Jane couldn't have been more helpful on the run up to our stay. My mum is disabled and wheelchair bound and Jane purchased some ramps for her to get into the cottage and had a wooden ramp built inside for the one step in the entry way. The main steps to get into the cottage are quite high, but with all three of us pulling and pushing the wheelchair it was no problem at all. Thank you to Jane for her efforts, it is much appreciated. We had to cancel several times as the wedding we were attending had to be postponed due to Covid, but Jane completely understood and we were lucky that she had availability for when the wedding was rescheduled to. We were greeted with flowers, sweets and a lovely bottle of Prosecco when we got there, which was lovely after a long drive. The cottage itself is well laid out with comfy seats and a good kitchen table and there was everything you could need in the kitchen. The bathroom was great, although could do with another light over the sink as it was a bit dark there. The bedrooms were large and well sized for getting a wheelchair around. Overall an excellent stay and we would stay again.
The beds in the twin room could be a little more robust. My husband had a little issue with the slats collapsing during the middle of the night and he ended up on the floor, but it was rectified by just clicking them back in place. He is of a more heavier build and I suppose these are really only for children.

Loving warm cottage, had everything you needed. WiFi, all utensils, own garden and had a lovely view. Host introduced herself and checked in on us.
Nothing would definitely recommend to family and friends and stay here again.

Beautiful cottage on a campsite in the middle of nowhere, but quite easily accessible from anywhere (with a car). It's right next to the Roaches, which is a great attraction and makes a good first day-out after a long(ish) drive. The peace and quiet of the location was much appreciated, particularly in the evenings. Super friendly host, and very welcoming to our two dogs!
All very minor. The BBQ had been left messy by previous guests. The double bed was uncomfortable for my Dad but not bad for 2 nights. Bathroom could use a frosted window for more privacy (it does have blinds).

Beautiful location. Very nice and helpful owner. Great for the 3 dogs. Cottage had everything that we needed.

Big field on site for the dogs. Fantastic views.
