Nice Cabin. Well located in Punto de Choros with a view across a field to the sea and islands.
Our host was a little greedy. We booked this cabin over a year ago to be present for the total eclipse of the sun. She let us know a month before arrival that the price would increase to $200 per night. Traveling previously to total eclipses we were accustomed to paying a premium. Her price seemed reasonable. We also didn't have much of a choice since accommodations in the whole area were fully booked. We responded that that would be OK. She wanted a 50% deposit sent to her outside the booking.com system, but with the difficulties of money transfer, she decided to trust us to pay when we arrived. When we arrived she demanded 200,000 pesos per night in cash which comes out closer to $300 per night. We decided to pay and stay.
The place was a little dirty, the hot water system was funky, and there was no heat (it was winter time). We realized that the second bedroom had two bunk beds when we booked. Staying there we found it to be unacceptable for adults-- to little space to move around. The second room would have been much more comfortable with two single beds, with a limit of four people for the cabin (there were four of us). The neighbors over the back wall had an all night party with loud thumping "music" that kept repeating. Our theory was they all passed out. It was difficult to sleep even with industrial strength ear plugs. The host said she called the police to tell them to turn it off, but we doubted it. Her excuses punctuated with 'Amorcito' were especially comical.
