About this house rental
Absolute waterfront 3br full brick House with its own jetty, just meters to the lake's edge with fabulous views of the Lake. With its own jetty, you can bring your own boat along, or just try your luck at fishing for bream, flathead etc.
You just need to relax and enjoy the beautiful views and do as much as you want or as little as you want. You can just sit and watch the boats cruise by, and the pelicans come into and on the jetty.
A kitchen with the usual modern conveniences and also a new fridge, oven, and microwave. 2 Living Areas both equipped with 50 inch flat screen TV’s, DVD players and Game Consoles both include a small number of games. Main Lounge (Nintendo Wii) Rumpus Room (PS3 console) and iPod Docking Unit complete with Surround Sound.
Two bathrooms with one having its own sunken circular bath. Separate WC and powder room and 1 secondary shower and WC located in the laundry. Also has a washing machine and dryer, undercover clothesline is available for your use. Ironing board and iron are also available.
Large Main Dining Room with two settings for 6 (12 in total)
Undercover Balcony that overlooks the Lake – Two Dining Settings ( 1 x 8 PAX – 1 x 6 PAX ). Separated to provide the parents with some solitude during meal times. 2 BBQ’s are provided to cater for those larger groups.
External heated spa on second terrace overlooking the water
Inclusions: Dishwasher, Microwave, Washing Machine, Dryer, Free Wi-Fi, Hair Dryer. NB – No Pay TV
Is it worth noting that the property also incorporates a studio apartment which is available for rental for even larger groups or rented independently? It is called The Studio on the Lake.
The Private jetty to the property allows you easy access to tie your boat to or enjoy some of the best fishing in Lake Macquarie. Please note this is communally shared between guests in the studio and main house if booked separately. The public boat ramp is a 2 minute drive down the road at Balmoral Boat Ramp.
*Important Advice: Any guest wishing to fish in the waters of Lake Macquarie must comply with the relevant laws as defined in the Fisheries Management Act 1994. This includes (but is not limited to), holding a fishing license where necessary, knowing and respecting bag & size limits and not fishing in protected waters. Please note that many areas of Lake Macquarie house Razor Clams - please don't take risks and always wear solid footwear when walking through water or playing on shoreline rocks. Any guest intending to use crab pots are reminded to not place them within the vicinity of any moored vessel on the Lake. Pots can move in lake tidal waters & the wind and can cause stressful and extremely costly damage to our neighbours boats. Crab pot lines easily become wrapped around props and keels as well as mooring lines. When this happens, it is not a simple matter of removing the crab pot line, it can cost up to $20000 in repairs to the damaged equipment on the boat. Guests may be held liable against a damage claim so a clear reminder to be wary of placement and at all times to respect neighbouring property.

Unfortunately, this is not the property for you. It is in a quiet retiree neighbourhood, so a hens/bucks/schoolies type celebration is not appropriate. We can easily determine if the house rule of “No parties or events” is disrespected, and this means additional charges and/or eviction will apply, which everyone wants to avoid. If you are unsure, please enquire before booking.
How We Price: The booking price is based on a minimum number of guests. Any guests above this number are chargeable on a per person/per night rate. The system will automatically calculate the correct rate when you enter the required number of guests. Reductions in guest numbers are non-refundable.
Arrival Details: Access to the property is made easy for you. We will send you an access code just before 2pm on your arrival day via SMS and you will use this code for the duration of your stay.
Linen: 1 set of full bed linens and 1 bath towel per person are supplied. Guests may wish to bring extra towels depending on the length of their stay. Pool/Lake/Beach towels are BYO
Guest Amenities: We are Eco-Friendly - to help reduce wastage, we supply a single bottle of 3in1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash in all showers. In addition, guests are advised to bring their own personal preferred bathroom products/amenities.
Wifi is provided complimentary on behalf of the owner. It is intended to be used in an appropriate manner by all guests. As the service is provided by an external 3rd party, Weekenda cannot and do not guarantee the speed or efficacy of this property's wifi connection nor do we pay any compensation for interruption of service for any reason.
Pools: If the property has a Swimming Pool then it will be opened for swimming for the start of the NSW September School Holidays and closed and Winterised immediately after the NSW Easter School Holidays have been completed.
Fires and Firewood: Internal wood fireplaces and outdoor fire pits only operate after the NSW Easter School Holidays up to before the NSW September School Holidays in line with NSW state fire restrictions. Please note: we will normally supply enough firewood, kindling & fire-starters for between 1-2 nights of your stay. For guests wishing to have additional fires, we suggest BYO Firewood, Kindling, and Starters which can be easily purchased from the local service stations.
No Party Policy: All reservations operate under a Strict No-Party & Non-Excessive Noise Policy as prescribed in the NSW Short-Term Letting Legislation and Local Council Laws. This property is in a Residential Area. Failure to comply can put the security bond into jeopardy and may lead to police-assisted eviction and/or extra charges being levied. We hate to have to note this but the reality is that so far this year we have had to evict 3 groups for overstacking/bad/anti-social behavior.
Extra Guests / Visitors: The number of people nominated on your booking is the maximum number of people that are allowed to be on the property at any one time, including visitors. Visitors may be requested and if approved must be approved in writing with Weekenda staff. Simply put, if Mum and Dad want to come over for a BBQ then we are likely to approve. If 10 extra people want to stop by we are unlikely to approve, which could put your booking at risk. We will always try to be reasonable with reasonable people within property constraints and House Rules.
Cameras and Noise Monitoring: Please note that it is highly likely that we have installed a Wi-Fi Security Camera at the Front Entrance (and sometimes rear of the property) We are progressively rolling these out through every property in 2022/2023
Guest Registration / ID Check : Weekenda requires every guest to complete and sign an electronic guest registration prior to arrival which will ask for photo ID i.e. a copy of your Drivers Licence or Passport. The primary booker will also be required to complete a list with the guest's names and actual mobile numbers. In the event we are unable to reach the primary booker, it is very important we can get a hold of other guests. These documents will be deleted after your departure. Access Codes are only released to Registered and Verified Guests.
Critical Update: Due to an unprecedented influx of fraudulent bookings, we are forced to impose a policy that protects our clients, industry and community against those attempting to commit fraud and theft. Any booking made within 5 days of arrival is required to provide a photo of a valid credit card in the same full name of the primary guest to match the supplied identification document. Failure of these documents matching will result in the booking being cancelled and all funds processed returned to the original card assumed as stolen and thus a fraudulent transaction. We trust we have our honest and genuine customers understanding this policy is in place to protect all parties.
Insurance: As always, but ever so more due to recent times, we strongly encourage any holidaymakers to obtain a very inexpensive 3rd Party Domestic Travel Insurance Policy to cover you for all manners of matters which may restrict travel. This is particularly helpful for things like Hunter Valley Concert cancellations, Covid or Medical and Other Emergencies for which we don't provide refunds, and anything which falls under our standard Terms & Conditions irrespective of the reason. We suggest reviewing policies with 'Cover-More' or 'Travel Insurance Direct' or 'Insureandgo'

Property is right on the water - fantastic views across the lake. Large property so would cater for larger families. Beds were comfortable. Amenities acceptable. Heaps of DVD's and Music videos. Spar was wonderful. 2 mtr retaining wall in back yard not fenced -so be careful if taking children. A few issues with cleanliness of outside bins. Overall was a great break and would recommend to others.

Stay was great, the house is huge. Outside area lets it down, grass was overgrown, shrubs overgrown to block view from the deck. Parking is very limited and was under a mango tree that was dropping mangoes.

Spacious rooms & gorgeous sunsets
Exceeded expectations. House was larger than anticipated. Comfortable beds and crisp white linen throughout, plenty of pillows and clean towels.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay once we cleaned it ourselves given we were staying 10 nights.
The evening sunset was spectacular. Spa was clean and maintained.
I would recommend updating photos, and introducing a thorough clean of kitchen and laundry, particularly whitegoods and contents inside kitchen cupboards & drawers.
Ensuring a clean dyson, usable mop and a bucket is available inside the house so it can be kept well for the holidaymakers and the owners.
Beautiful home and thankful for our stay.

Great House - beautiful view
Beautiful space with plenty of room. The view is beautiful. Make sure you do a good shop before you go, including toilet paper as there will only be one roll at the property. The neighbourhood is beautiful however we couldn’t get an Uber or taxi to get into Toronto however their is. A us stop right outside the house so check the timetables.

A great spot for friends & family
Back again for another visit, we simply love this place. The house is nicely spread out so we don't disturb the kids sleeping with our raucous card games. Love the dining area - biggest table we have ever eaten at. The view was brilliant as always. No doubt we'll be back. Thanks for Weekenda for hosting us.

Very Happy with our choice
This home is very well catered. Massive old style kitchen in the middle with living areas spread around (meant we could get away from the kids!). View is great especially from the jetty out the front. Would be great during the summer being so close to the water. We will definitely look at coming again.
