Very large, clean and comfortable rooms.

The staff was friendly and pleasant.
The hotel has all been refurbished, the rooms are now an electronic fob instead of a key.
The rooms are nice and spacious with a large screen tv coffee and tea facilities in room..
The restaurant has also been refurbished and the menu updated,
You also have a key for the front door so no need to ring a porter or bell for entry after closing hours of bar.
Bar is open till 00.30 so you can enjoy time in the bar or you can drink in your room.
It is also close to local amenities like corner shops, scotmid convenience store and a fish shop at side of pup open till 00.30,
Price is nice and fair not too dear.
The only downside is that they no longer serve breakfast in the restaurant so it is room only.

Friendly & welcoming on arrival
Room was clean,modern spacious & quiet đ¤Ť
Hotel is on a set of traffic lights đŚ so care required getting in & out.
Parking limited but still found space even with a wedding on đ
Shame no breakfast option considering the price.

the room was clean
there was a mix up with keys and I was given one for another room which was occupied when I entered. as my own room seemed to have several spare keys hanging in reception cabinet I didnt feel that safe.
the property itself is very old and very noisy.
an ashtray was placed in the entrance inside the hotel which made the whole house smell of smoke

Very friendly staff, rooms nice and clean and beautiful food in the restaurant.

Staff helpful and hotel good for 4 guys visiting Murrayfield for the rugby. Very good size rooms with plenty of space between beds important when room sharing. Buses to Edinburgh on the doorstep.
Sadly no breakfast available. Limited parking and difficult due to road works outside hotel.

Car park space both nights of stay. close to plenty of eateries, takeaways and shops. large room, comfortable bed, clean and tidy with all the basic amenities. Blinds and curtains in room for total light shutout.
No options for breakfast at the hotel. No dinner options at the hotel on my first days stay (Tuesday) Menu in bar on 2nd night of stay. hotel was fairly noisy.

Big room, dog friendly, next door to an amaaaaazing chippy.
Central position to town.
Only a few parking spaces, most of which were taken by regulars, so be prepared to park elsewhere.
Sound travels in the hotel, I was on 2nd floor and could hear shouting, music, laughing and joking as if I was next door (not anyone's fault I appreciate) which was difficult when I wanted to sleep.
Room had the smallest sink I've ever seen in a bathroom.

Great location. The facilities and room were gorgeous. Bathroom was good and the shower was great! Sadly I didn't get the chance to eat at the restaurant, although when checking in at the evening the smells from the restaurant were divine.
Nothing to complain about-just a shame no breakfast on offer at this time.

The room was warm and clean and wifi was free.
The hotel dĂŠcor is a little tired to say the least - scruffy carpet and peeling wallpaper
On arrival the limited free parking spaces were partially blocked by temporary traffic lights and parking was limited to the space between the pavement and the front of the hotel , there was no room in the restaurant for an evening meal and breakfast started at 08;00 - a little too late for a working day.
Whist the room was warm and clean and wifi was free, there was no desk lamp or light above the desk, so reading / working at the desk was not really practicable. The electric shower (I was in a second floor room) was unbelievably loud and the bathroom unheated and with no shaver/electric toothbrush point.

Easy location for takeaways and bus stop nearby
Having to climb stairs to my room on 3rd floor and no decent chair to sit on in my room

Downstairs pub was good atmosphere, friendly staff.
Could be wrong but some of the residents seemed to be living there. One had a dog others were in and out the room literally every two minutes and that was no exaggeration banging the door.

room was a good size
the room was very poorly heated
there was no heated shower and no hot water
sink in bathroom was tiny, a cloakroom style for a family room!!!!!!

My room was clean, had plenty supplies - tea, coffee, toiletries etc. The bed was comfy though the duvet was 'too cosy' for a woman of a certain age :-). The location was 5 minutes walk from the event I was attending, the staff were really nice and the breakfast was fantastic!
There isn't anything unpleasant, I just found the duvet too heavy for my liking but my niece loved hers so, all a matter of personal choice
