Lovely!

It was very cosy and clean. The pictures don’t do it justice! The owners have a great attention to detail, providing even little things like tea and coffee.

Not being able to use the pool past 5, as we checked in at 4pm by the time we’d all settled in it was 6pm so wouldn’t have had time to use the pool. Would be nice if it was extended by a few hours!

unable to use swimming pool

It was nice and clean

bathroom lights were extremly dark.. could not use swimming pool, if you are doing 1 night, it is impossible to use. Swimming pool and play area was far and felt uncomrftable looking round like we are not allowed or something.

Lovely family stay

Lovely period barn with spacious main bedroom, excellent kitchen and lounge, and large garden with hot tub. fantastic to have access to pool and playground 5 minute walk away for kids.

Nothing - a few creaky floor boards and doors but as you’d expect from a period property. Did mean the baby woke a few times when walking past rooms etc, so maybe one to note for parents

lovely clean cottage with fab hot tub. Great base for exploring local places Helpful staff and great communications fishing lake was a great success

lovely overall but a few minor disappointments

loved the character and hot tub lovely place to stay

check in was too late to get value for pool as closes at 5 and couldn’t check in till 4. by the time we got changed and upto to the pool we didn’t have long. also the check out time is too early. The pull out bed in the front room was also a disappointment as uncomfortable and the sheet seemed like it wasn’t clean as there were crumbs left from previous guests.

Comfortable place but could be cleaner

Comfortable place, location fairly central for exploring

Cleanliness. Crockery some were chipped, some not clean. Cobwebs and dirty floor. Paid £40.00 for cleaning towards property. Dishwasher was still full dishes which I had to wash again and empty. Wood burner not cleaned out from previous as was the bbq. Some cig buts outside.

Fantastic value, the perfect place for a family getaway.

This is a great hidden gem. Lovely barn nicely decorated with everything you could need inside. Plenty of living space for eating/socialising together. Very comfy beds and bed linen. The hot tub was switched on and ready when we got there. The kids absolutely loved the pool and the play area outside. It’s also a really peaceful location. We all loved our stay.

We were really happy, I can’t think of anything significant to put here.

Fantastic weekend

30mins from home great place for a break. Pub next door fantastic meals, pool to ourselves hot tub, recommend to anyone to go. Well definitely be back again soon

pleasant barn, nice location on the Wirral. lots of nice pubs nearby

nice location easily situated to get to lots of places. property itself was charming and as described

it’s wasn’t as clean as it could be. around the bathroom taps downstairs was not clean for example and the hot tub functions were worn and didn’t all seem to be working. a number of the lights didn’t work particularly in the kitchen and the smoke alarm battery had gone in the kitchen with no replacement battery so we had to go and buy one there were no location instructions in the barn at all and I had to wander around looking for the pool

Excellent property, extremely clean and a very enjoyable stay.

Really useful provision of most things we forgot to pack like tea bags and sugar and dishwasher tabs. Plenty of towels and loo roll provided. Hottub ready to go when we arrived. Lighter for the log fire and firestarter blocks. All the little things were thought of. Hosts were easy to communicate with and instructions for arrival were simple to follow.

A blind or curtain on the garden facing kitchen window just for a bit more privacy but that's literally the only thing.

really nice place would recommend

it was a lovely property in a lovely village close to the city centre. great that there was two parking spaces.

the hot tub had sand all in the bottom on arrival and the filters weren’t clean they kept pumping out clumps of what looked like dust and dirt which we had to fish out.
