For the "sporty ones" there are also several choices among horse back riding, bike tours, and golf courses too at the terrific Castelfalfi, which lies only 30 minutes away.
Our Palazzo Becci is set on one of the main squares of San Gimignano, in the middle of the most fascinating medieval place in Tuscany. Built around one of the main San Gimignano Towers, the property is conserving the charm of a historic residence of XII century.
The property has amazing ceilings, and it's a charming, magical, historic and thoughtfully-furnished apartment situated at the first floor of the historical palace. Gorgeous views from every window. The front rooms overlook “Piazza della Cisterna”, while from the back windows of Suite 6 and 4 you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside.
You can also enjoy (upon request) a typical Italian breakfast or an excellent Tuscan lunch at the restaurant bar in Piazza della Cisterna right under the house. Everything is at walking distance.
===== ACCOMMODATION DESCRIPTION =====
The living room with sofa, armchairs and TV, is furnished with original antique furniture and has amazing vaulted ceiling with capitals. The double bedroom “TOWER” so called because it is on the first level of the tower which is also visible by the thickness of the walls.
The dining room, which is accessed from the living room, also furnished with large table in solid wood, ceilings with wooden beams, reminds a medieval atmosphere.
From the dining room through an open staircase in wrought iron leads to the loft with two single beds. The kitchen is equipped with a standard oven, gas hob, small fridge and table for quick meals. The bathroom with shower, can be accessed from both the “Tower” bedroom, and the kitchen. In front of the entrance hall is the second double bedroom “Canopy” which takes its name from the original wrought iron bed. The Canopy room is wide and bright, with a small private bathroom with shower.
Air Conditioning is also a feature of the house.
50 meters away is the Laundromat . 500 meters away is the rent-a-bike, motorbike, car.
You can also enjoy (upon request) a typical Italian breakfast or an excellent Tuscan lunch at the restaurant bar in Piazza della Cisterna right under the house. Everything is at walking distance. The best of Tuscany within 40 min by car distance: Chianti, Siena, Florence, top wineries and unforgettable sweet hills. Terrific golf course at Castelfalfi, only 30 minutes away.
