We had a wonderful stay. Check in was easy, home was clean and listing was accurate. Rebecca was very helpful and responsive to all our questions.

A remarkable secluded getaway on sparkling Skaneateles Lake. This lake house made for a spectacular family reunion location with the feel of a small private club. The grand main floor area offers stunning views of the lake (with the highest ceiling I have ever seen) and the outside deck is icing on the cake ! Just book it!

we grew to like it more the longer we were there. it needs another bathroom with a walk in shower...preferably on the main floor

My college friends and I get together every year for a visit. This year we chose Skaneateles Lake. The place is old with charm and history but there are some other things you should know about this rental before you go. There are many steps! You climb up to the main floor but there is not a bathroom on that floor so you either climb up to the loft or down to the bedrooms when you need a bathroom. The path down to the lake is steep so if you’re not in the shape you were in at age 25, it might be a little tricky. The picture at the website of the deck was taken when there were no leaves on the trees. With leaves, the lake is not as easy to view. With all that said, we still had a nice time and the property manager was very helpful to anything we needed.

This place was perfectly secluded for the two of us. Very quiet, tucked away with lake access. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will be back!!

The property has great views of the lake from the two decks facing west. The bathrooms are a bit "quirky" but after learning the history of the house shared by the owner, it makes sense. Definetly not a property for young children or the inmobile adult. Had a nice relaxing time....mission accomplished!

My husband and I spent a few days as a minimoon after our wedding on the lake! It was the perfect getaway after the stress of wedding planning. We will definitely be back!

We spent two very relaxing weeks in a beautiful home overlooking Lake Skaneateles.

Pros: Great location, all as advertised, highly responsive host, beautiful lake, enjoyed the kayaks and swim platform.
Cons: Only one full bathroom on the top floor with just a curtain for privacy, so make sure you're all friends. Fairly steep walk to the water but was as advertised and merely requires preplanning to ensure you bring everything to the private beach.
Had a great time!

Love the open areas to gather together with our family and quiet sleeping areas!
The property fits the description posted. Some limitations but no surprise 😁

This house exceeded our expectations. We loved the short walk to the lake with no stairs required (although very steep, the hill was easier to navigate than many stairs). Also, the kayaks and paddleboard were fun to enjoy. The firepit by the lake was also amazing.
Stewart, our host, was beyond accommodating and even dropped off extra propane for the grill.
I would recommend this house to anyone who wants to get away from it all and relax!

The house was stunning. Honestly it felt like we completely left NY. One of my favorite lake houses I’ve ever rented. Can’t wait to rent it again♥️

Excellent location
Excellent location! And very secluded, third to last house on a dead end road. The view from the deck is beautiful and the private pebble beach (down some fairly steep stairs) provided a perfect spot for swimming and fishing. We were even able to spot an eagle a few times. The main living floor is very spacious, and the kitchen has everything needed for cooking. The beds and bedding were OK. Overall great place especially for the price!

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful property, and the views of the lake, especially at sunset, were impossible to beat. We were very comfortable our entire stay and had everything we needed in this charming and loved home.

Wonderful, quirky house & lots of fun
We had a wonderful time. The house is unique, awesome & fun, - could use more screens on the windows & sliders, but the lake is just the most wonderful place to be. Skaneateles Lake is the Best!! Loved it!

Skaneateles treehouse
Beautiful up in the trees house - lovely overlooking the lake. Stairs are harder for older people, my 78 year old mother had a rough go of them. lake was beautiful and easy to access - super clean. Great for a younger family to stay in!

Large, cozy lake house
Nice and private house with a great view and access to the lake. It was very clean and had everything we needed. My only issue was having just a bathtub with no shower in the master and the other bathroom was up two flights of stairs. Not recommended for an older person. Their wasn’t enough hot water to fill the jacuzzi bathtub. Overall it was a nice large , open house with a rustic cabin vibe. Loved the cozy corner library! Friendly hosts who respond to questions quickly. Beautiful beach area. I would definitely recommend it!

Great views, Great Lake access and awesome deck!
Stewart was very responsive and helpful when we had questions about the house. House is very clean and had a very large kitchen that is stocked with dishes, pots & pans , huge refrigerator so you can relax and have a nice meal.. The beach area had a great fire pit and a small dock that you can easily get picked up by boat. There is the Glen Haven right down the street where you can hang and have cocktails outside and meet the locals, who were all very friendly! Skaneateles village is about a 15/20 minute ride , not bad at all! Truly enjoyed our girls getaway and the memories we made! Thanks so much Stewart & Rebecca!
