We stayed at this Caribbean Guesthouse and Villa from Oct. 21 to Nov. 5 and we had a fabulous time, everything was perfect and the hostage is very helpful and friendly.
We loved the garden and the property and we found everything exactly as promised.
We have been visiting them several years and we plan to return again next year!

My wife and I had the pleasure of having Villa Nocoart our St. Martin home-base for 10 days over the 2015 Christmas Holidays. Though we've been to the island twice previously in the past few years, this was our first time to stay in Terres Basses.
Villa Nocoart is simply superb; our experience from beginning to end just wonderful.
During the booking process Norma was quick to respond; arrangements were made without any drama. We received a friendly personal welcome upon arrival and a brief tour of the compound. We also were introduced to the four-legged canine crew: Maya, Molly and our new buddy Bingo (who seems to serve as the official greeter).
Accommodations were clean, comfortable and well-appointed and the outdoor kitchen fabulous. The pool sparkling (and a tad cool!) and the lush garden-like grounds absolutely beautiful. We loved hearing the frogs and the surf at night...along with the patter of a passing shower on the rooftop of our villa.
On previous trips we've stayed in Orient Bay and thought before arriving at Villa Nocoart that the location might feel a bit 'far' from things. This was not the case at all. In fact, the location is just about perfect. Quiet and lovely while being just minutes from just about anything one may wish to do or need. And of course, Bingo was there waiting to say hi anytime we returned to the compound.
An array of beach supplies are available for use including chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear and the like, all of which are in very good condition. Also conveniently available is an iron and ironing board and a washer/dryer...a must if you pack like we do (no carry-ons...ever!!).
All-in-all we found Nocoart Guest House to be everything we hoped it would be...and more. Very, very highly recommended. We'll be back!!

My family had a great stay. Norma was very helpful throughout the whole process. The property is beautiful, and the prices are good. Great place for a casual get-away.

We loved our stay at this home! Located in Terres Basses, the home is on a peninsula that is probably the quietest part of what has grown to be a very busy, tourist-congested island, with a lot of traffic and cruisers. This home is an escape! With a lovely pool and lots of fruit trees, an outdoor kitchen, and the rooms and bedrooms in different little buildings, it's like a little Caribbean village, where the owner also has her home and art studio, and her sister has her home. The owner and her sister are around, but they're both very busy working, so you have the run of the place. However, the owner does take the time to help orient you if you haven't been to the island before and has lots of good advice should you require it. Terres Basses has its own beach, which is lovely, and there are good restaurants in Cupecoy, right down the road. You're not far from the French capital Marigot, and the spectrum of shops, restaurants and services there. You're also just a skip away from one of the best restaurants on the island, La Cigale. But mainly, this home provides the privacy, tranquility and space to breathe and relax, with warm and informed guides to help you plan your stay (or not). We had my 3-year-old daughter, and this was perfect for her, as one of the huts had a double and single bed, so she stayed with us. And then my Mom stayed in another hut with two bedrooms (she only used one). The owner and her sister are both artists, and a tour of the art studio to see and hear about their work is recommended. I would recommend this for the spectrum of travelers - families with young or older children, couples and groups - except those without a car/scooter, as it might be difficult to get around from here without one. The owner does have dogs and cats, all friendly, who mostly lie around under the bushes, but I'm not sure how she feels about pets. People with disabilities might have trouble getting up a flight of stone steps to the main pool landing. One room can be accessed from there, and another small flight of steps goes up to the other bedrooms. All in all, this is a Shangri-La!

I really did not want to write a review , cause , it was perfect , and I am hoping I can get in next year ... I mean don trump had a place right down the road , there is a private beach for anyone staying in Terres Basses, which has a 24hr guard gate to drive into Terres Basses , point is , it's one of the best , private , secluded beaches on st martin , many beautiful beaches . (Ya need a car) it's nice , it's beautifully located, there are gorgeous mansions , yet it's not aloof , it's laid back , clean etc.( nice big pool ) we went around the whole island twice , 7 days , rented a boat one day ' a must do , it's was fantastic week for me and my wife , Nocoart is fantastic place to stay , at the bottom of the hill there is French restaraunt's , also your close to simpson bay and all the great seafood places to eat . Or 10 minutes to Margot bay while your there grab a sandwich or French pastries at sarafinas. nocoart has a private pool . And a beautiful , articulate , serene , accommodating host and a private acreage to walk around in , as well as being secluded , there is a 8 ft wall around it and a electronic gate to a long driveway up to YOUR apt , great for a honeymoon , or a family of 4/5/6 , , don't have to rent snorkel or fins etc.. My wife and I have been to Tortola , Bahamas , Eleuthera , Jamaica , caymans , USVI , ... st martin was the best , and one main part was having the right place to stay . It's underpriced , but the host seems to be more interested that you have a good time , as I will say again we been running around the west indies for 10 years and this was our best time ;great island , more developed , yet still remote and private , st martin is great for our age and there are many places for the younger crowd ,, I have never wrote a review in my life , probably shows , but Norma at nocoart was great . oh" she has a little art school and her sister teaches on the island , just don't tell anyone else , D&L Apple

Two teenage girls and their parents enjoyed a wonderful week in the Villa Nocoart Guesthouse. Surrounded by tropical flowers of every color, and ringing a turquoise pool, almost every room in the house is a separate building. My husband and I had a lovely bedroom and screened sitting room and bathroom, while across the water our daughters each had a bedroom and shared bath. The kitchen is open air and we enjoyed many meals around the outside table (grateful for the roof above during occasional spats of rain), and at night we played games and read in the screened-in living room (there is no TV). We also greatly enjoyed visiting the art studio on the premises, as well as the company of the resident cats and dogs. Several great beaches and good French bakeries are close by, and the property is in a safe area. Lastly, the homeowner and her sister were generous and quick with their assistance whatever the request. We hope to return for another stay.

We stayed in this beautiful guest house for a few days, but soon felt so much "at home" that it we didn't want to leave and get back to reality any more... ;)
The owners are very warm, welcoming, responsive to all needs and always up for a friendly and funny chat, but never crowded us! Just the same we've also been enjoying the peace and privacy of the big property with a beautiful lush tropical garden and our clean, comfortable and well-furnished bedroom.
We wouldn't call the location in Terres Basses secluded! It is a more private area, which we think is a very welcome advantage to the more "popular" locations on the island. A rental car is necessary, but within less than five minutes you can be at a quiet picturesque beach or a big supermarket - without having to wait in traffic even during the main season. But if you like places with more activity, Maho, Simpson Bay or Marigot can be reached very quickly and easily as well. Just like the whole island, it's simply the best mix, and this guest house is the perfect base for all your ventures!
Thanks for everything, we will be back for sure!

The photos in the listing give you an idea of how beautiful the property, the houses and the rooms are. We stayed with our two teenagers (13 and 15) and had a fantastic time. We split up our time between visiting varying beaches and towns, and hanging around the pool, the living rooms, the outdoor kitchen and of course our rooms, at the expansive property. Two days we didn't go anywhere, since we just wanted to enjoy the pool and the space. The art studio is the icing on the cake, if you are artistically inclined.
We will definitely be back since we have a lot more to explore, and want to enjoy fresh French croissants at the pool.
The owner is super helpful and a great positive welcoming spirit!
