Perfect place to stay with our adult children. Beds were very comfortable. The owners have thought of everything that you might need other than the usual things you bring yourself. Better stocked with things like sugar, umbrellas and nice toiletries than any other place we've stayed. The location of things was nicely labelled. We liked the self check in and the yummy goodies waiting for us as well.

Everything was explained and had a place, we felt very comfortable and the kids loved the pacman and the PS3 games. They said this set the bar high for future VRBOs and we agreed!

Enjoyed our stay here. Host thought of everything- even robes in the closets. The hot tub was really nice and property was clean and easy to get to.

Had everything we needed. Hot tub, location, cozy spots to hang out, well-outfitted kitchen. Highly recommend.

This was one the best rentals we have stayed in. You can tell the owners take pride in their home. The house was very clean, well stocked and well organized. The views of Victoria and Hurricane Ridge from the deck were amazing. The hot tub was very clean, we enjoyed relaxing after long days of hiking. We had visits from a mama deer and her little fawn just about every day! You could walk to restaurants and a small grocery/convenience store. Port Angeles is a great little town!

This home was amazing. So incredibly clean, well stocked, plenty of space and everything is labeled or has directions. It made staying here such a breeze! The outdoor space is incredible. We actually got rained out on one of our days exploring Olympic National Park. And we weren't even sad about it! We had a very early dinner at the warf in Port Angeles and then headed to the rental to spend the evening enjoying the back patio and hot tub (and all the gorgeous landscaping). The back patio was covered so the rain made no difference at all - even made it kinda cool to be outside in a down pour and not even be affected. We were even visited by a deer and her fawn. Rental was close to a great grocery store, wonderful restaurants and the Hurricane Ridge portion of the park. We also didn't feel like the Lake Cresent/Sol Duc area was that far either. It made a great home base for us during our ONP explorations. We stayed at 6 different places during this 2+ week vacation exploring the state of Washington and this was our favorite rental!

We enjoyed our stay in port angles and the house was perfect for our family of six. The hot tub was a great bonus especially after hiking in the park all day..

The Painted Lady welcomed my family like her own. This. Property. Is. Perfect. I knew this place would be special from the welcome message from the owner that included a detailed description and illustration re: entrance and parking.
From our first step we felt at home in this cozy but spacious Victorian. The owners have obviously prided themselves in providing a 5 star property. Thankfully we took a quick inventory before a grocery run realizing this home had it all and more in stock.
If this property is available stop and book it now. And don't forget to tidepool at Salt Creek!

The house is exceptionally well cared for and had every amenity you can ask for. They have really thought of everything to make your stay easy and comfortable. They leave detailed instructions, detailed area information and everything is labeled. The hot tub was awesome and a wonderful way to end the day after hikes and whale watching! The rooftop deck was a great place to look at the water and mountains. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The house had everything we need for a family trip to Olympic National Park. We saw Salmon Cascades, Sol Duc Falls, Marymere Falls, the Devil's Punchbowl, and Madison Falls. We also visited Dungeness Spit in Squim, Glass Beach in Port Townsend. The toiletries and gift basket were much appreciated.

This home had everything that anyone would need for a home away from home. Waking up to the sunrise and our evenings with the sunsets!! So much to see and do in the area. The weather was perfect for hiking the trails in Olympic. It was great to have a hot tub to come back to soak in after hiking. Thank you for making this a great getaway for our family! Wish we had more time to spend in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Cleanliness was top notch, beds were comfortable, and so many other lovely touches that allowed our family to sit back and relax! We really enjoyed the outside area with hot tub and fire pit. Neighborhood was very quiet and safe. We look forward to a return stay in the future!

Our stay at this home was one of the best experiences we have had with VRB0. The house was just as the photos show . It was well stocked with everything needed for cooking and relaxing . The views of the strait and the mountains were breathtaking . We had hoped to share this visit with two of our children whose flights we cancelled and we not able to make it for the holiday but we were able to find some comfort in the nightly use of the modem and large hot tub in the beautifully manicured back yard . We hope to stay here again with our family in the near future and we can only imagine what it is like in the warmer months.

My daughter, grand daughter and I had a short 2 night stay at the Painted Lady. Beautifully decorated, well stocked and organized in kitchen , clean and supplied with everything to make a great relaxing long weekend. The hot tub and games were a hit with my grand daughter. This is a repeater! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Oh, the location is dynomite.

We adored the view from the second-story deck, the backyard with its visiting deer (sorry they ate all the flowers) and the comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. The antique furnishings in the living room weren't our favorite and we actually rarely used that somewhat uncomfortable room. Fortunately, there was so much else to love here.

Amazing experience
Our stay was beyond my expectations. The home itself is a beautiful piece of artwork. The hosts have thought of everything! They given a new definition for hosts. They have set a standard that I’m sure will never be met on our future adventures. Thank you Joanna and Tim for such an amazing experience!

Charming home with a beautiful view
Without a doubt, the hosts of the Painted Lady are the most hospitable, thoughtful and most organized of any home we’ve rented. Definitely 5 stars! We look forward to staying there again.

Charming home and great amenities
Our family really enjoyed our stay in the Painted Lady. The layout was very comfortable for us. We were impressed with the numerous amenities (e.g., appliances, streaming services) and overall thoughtful attention to detail. The home is in a quiet neighborhood on a bluff conveniently located near downtown--a 5-minute drive or 20 minute walk. From the deck, we enjoyed scenic views of the water on one side and the Olympic Mountains on the other. Would definitely return.

Beautiful property. We loved the views from the deck, well equipped kitchen, fun games for kids, and the hot tub. Pleasant walk into town.

Location and comfort
Ideal location for taking in the views of the surrounding straights of Juan de Fuca and Olympic mountains. Just stunning watching the clouds roll in over the mountains in the morning while enjoying coffee from the upper deck. Very easy access to Olympic national park. The cover over the hot tub was a certain bonus for winter time. And the arcade style Pac-Man game is fun for the whole family. Amenities within the unit are very well marked and instructions are clear. Multiple forms of heat made for a comfortable environment even when the temperature got cold. Very charming Victorian decor. Beds very comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely 2 bedroom with bonus room
This house was wonderful in so many ways from the labels on the drawers so we could orient quickly to the lovely covered patio and hot tub it met many of our needs. I do think it should be advertised as a 2 bedroom plus bonus room though. The room pictured with the two twin beds was a side room off the kitchen and very near to the back door, so not appropriate to put kids (we had two with us). The bedrooms upstairs were lovely, but my adult sister and niece were stuck sharing the very tiny room with the twin beds which as beds go were quite "squishy". That said, eveything else about the house was lovely. It was fairly inconvenient to have to come and go thru the backdoor (there seemed to be a fairly strict no shoes policy), but once qe got used to the tight entrance dynamics everything went smoothly. Water pressure in showers was a dream, hot tub was great after wet hikes in the ferns, and i loved being up on the deck in the morning with my tea. Thank you to the hosts!

Amazing house, location, and vacation
A great house, very clean, and the hosts thought of everything! We went on long adventures in Olympic National Park everyday and were too tired to use hot tub or fire pit, we all want to return to just hang out at this wonderful home for a few days to take advantage of all it has to offer.

Great home away from home
We loved staying in the Painted Lady. The kitchen was so well stocked that it allowed us to easily prepare most of our meals there, giving us a lot more flexibility in how we spent our time. The hot tub, the fire pit, the grill, the view; all these things really made the stay so luxurious and unforgettable.
I highly recommend this property.

Great house and they thought of everything!
We loved staying at this house. Great location to get to Olympic Natl Parks top sites (day trip to Rialto Beach and Hoh, very close to Lake Crescent and Hurricane Ridge). Port Angeles has a cute downtown area that is walkable from the house (about 1mile). The house itself has so much charm. Very cozy and clean with everything clearly labeled. They had everything! No detail was forgotten. Really appreciate all the touches and extras but into this place. Nice view from the balcony and the hot tub was relaxing. Would definitely stay again if we make it back to Port Angeles.

Perfect For Us
My family (2 kids - 5 and 8) stayed here as a base for exploring Olympic National Park and it was perfect for us. Very clean, comfortable, and some fun amenities. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. The best part, of course, was the mountains and the trees!

Great Launch Spot for Olympic National Park
We were blessed with 6 perfectly sunny low 70s days in mid-June. We loved the hot tub and roof deck and used both daily. We did several great hikes in Olympic National Park. We also enjoyed the fire pit and back patio. We enjoyed good meals at the Gastropub downtown (call ahead and ask to be put on their waitlist- our wait was 2 hours). The grill restaurant 2 blocks away was also good but a bit pricey. The gourmet grocery store downtown was great and has a good coffee bar inside it. All in all we loved Olympic NP and feel Port Angeles and this house make a great base camp. 🙂

Port Angeles Perfect Spot Rain or Shine
We completely enjoyed our stay and the amenities of the house. Great observation deck to watch the sunrise/sunset and if it rains, the back patio is a great retreat to still enjoy the outside with space heaters and a gas firepit. Everything is really well labelled inside so it was easy to make use of the kitchen and dining room for meals, board games, and around the table conversations. The owners had very clear and easy to find instructions for everything and were very responsive to communication throughout our stay. We hope to be back next year.

Lovely house in beautiful location
The Painted Lady was a terrific place to stay. Beautifully decorated and comfortable, the house was a great base to visit Olympic National Park. We had fantastic weather and enjoyed the awesome views of the Olympic Mountains and the sea from the upstairs deck. We also enjoyed unwinding in the hot tub at the end of the day. I hope to visit again!

We LOVED our week in Port Angeles, staying at The Painted Lady (Victorian Retreat). We used every inch of the house and felt very comfortable. All drawers and switches were well labeled and made it very easy to find what you were looking for. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, we never wanted for anything. There was a well stocked grocery store just a couple blocks away with a delicious coffee stand. Very easy walk for a latte in the morning. Lounging in the jacuzzi and sitting at the fire pit at night were among the highlights of our stay. We also loved sitting on the balcony during the day to enjoy the view and at night to watch the stars. This is by far one of the best vacation rentals we have stayed at and if we are ever in the area in the future we will be sure to book here again. A few other pluses for us were:- lots of tourist guides, maps, magazines and information. - kid friendly amenities (crib, high chair, toys, etc.)- all TVs equipped with premium streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+)- very thoughtful gift basket and all bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner, soap).

They thought of everything!
There was not a thing missing, from multiple cozy spots to congregate or relax, to everything clearly labeled and easy to find, to every small touch that made it feel just like home! If you are going by the pics, you should know they do not give the house or the experience justice!!!! And the owners are super friendly, kind, easy to communicate with. Two thumbs up!!

Fabulous base for Olympic National Park!
Johanna was an excellent host! She provided very helpful information about the house, and recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. We spent a few days exploring the ONP and loved her suggestion for a whale watch trip with Island Adventures. The house was very comfortable with the multiple outside areas, grill and hot tub. The views from the upper deck were amazing - mountains on one side and water on the other! The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed cooking at home each evening. The layout of the house worked well for our group - master suite upstairs along with a loft and 2nd bedroom, and a 3rd bedroom and bath with shower on first floor. The front room was a perfect place to relax. We enjoyed the coffee shop just 2 blocks away and the pizza at Strait Slice. We highly recommend this property and look forward to returning one day!
