The Winter Party with wine tastings was fun and the room it was in was fabulous with a great atmosphere. The quirky character of the building was inviting and the communication from the venue prior to our visit was great. The corner spa bath was lovely and the bed was really comfy too.
The property in need of some serious TLC. The air conditioner didn't work so we carried the portable heater upstairs to the room. The coffee machine didn't work, there was no green tea, the shower head was all limescaled and the shower soap dish enamel was peeling. The microwave was mounted on a make-shift shelf on the wall and the kitchen cupboards didn't close properly. There were someone else's used toiletries left behind in the bathroom and there were no bathrobes, which could easily be expected for a spa room at $350 for the night. The breakfast was really disappointing, 4 bits of bread in a brown paper bag with disposable jams and a plastic bag of muesli was a big letdown. There was no fresh fruit chef selection platter provided as in the room description. We would have been happy to discuss all of this with the hotel at checkout but the self-checkout leaves you a bit disconnected from the property.

Property looks nice. Comfortable bed and nice room.
There was a foul sewage smell coming from the bathroom, was really expecting something much better for the price paid.
Rooms overlooking the parking have a poor view.
Garbage trucks and loud noises started at 7am and made it difficult to sleep in.
Also, breakfast was a sad assortment of a few things in the room, not a proper breakfast.

The building looks like a castle and the surrounding is so serene with lovely flowers blooming. Facilities in room were great with bathtub, comfy bed and Netflix. Breakfast provided are of good quality.

Great location and beautiful gardens. Lovely big bathroom with great facilities. Nice self-catering brekkie options with great restaurants close by.
No staff on site and very quiet (restaurant and bar closed) so not the place if you’re looking for a vibe. Disappointed we didn’t get a garden view given we were one of the only couples there.

It was very expensive when compared to other hotels. I paid $425 for a night, didn't see any staff, there was no restaurant, breakfast was basic, room was fine but not worth a five star price tag for one night.

+ Wonderful views of amazing wine / horse territory with wonderful staff who are nice and friendly the office and reception was much better looking then the rooms.
+ Amazing breakfast, jams where awesome and so was the muffins.
+ Very spaces so much space
- Ripoff price paid double the everybody else everybody else paid $170 where I paid $300 how is this possible?
- Room was falling to bits, room 5 was leaking water the next morning while our room 6 shower fan was broken, cracks in the ceiling and the noise of the floor with that rattling door.
- Was also dirty under the sink needed a good clean as black dust was forming so as the stairway had black dust and the kitchin in places.
- Bed was uncomfortable for some people but I have experienced worse beds and this one was passable.
- Was a spider in the bathroom above the sliding door.
- I also noticed in one room a tv cabnit was missing so the tv was left sitting on the floor in front of the bed (I know South Australia is the poor sh!thole state but come on).

Location is beautiful, gardens are well maintained and a cozy room to stay
Breakfast could have certainly been better for the price, a cooked meal would be nice. We were given stale bread and out of date yogurt in our rooms for breakfast, not to mention the coffee was awful.

Beautiful place hidden in the hills. We got engaged here and one of the staff was lovely enough to send us up a bottle of champagne & take some photos of us in the beautiful garden. A special place.
