About this cabin rental
Heart of the Valley is located on Soco Road and is within walking distance to Maggie Valley Carpet Golf, Stompin Ground, Wheels Through Time Museum, Maggie Valley Festival Grounds, Maggie Valley Puzzle Rooms (Escape Rooms), and gift and antique shops.
There is ample parking for multiple cars and trucks with trailers on the property and has easy year round access for motorcycles, slingshots and spyders.
The home is also within 10 minutes of downtown Waynesville and is conviently located to hiking, fishing, rafting, skiing, horseback riding and golf. Asheville is 35 minutes east and offers The Biltomoe Estate, shopping, the arts and great restaurants. You may also plan a day trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge.

We have rented this cabin countless times and it is always a relief when we arrive it truly is our "home away from home". We enjoy the calm peaceful porch sitting it offers and the location to the fair grounds is perfect. Just a short walk and we can attend events there. Added bonus this trip a new Breakfast location has opened across the street and the food there is amazing and we walked over easily even with our daughter's wheelchair! And we got to play Putt Putt also within walking distance!! Another Maggie Valley getaway in the books and YES we will be renting this cabin again when we visit the area again!

Overall a cozy cabin. Right on the main street, mini golf right next door, fun little spot. The cabin could use some updating and TVs in the bedrooms would have been nice also more outdoor seating. We all did have a good time.

This place was super clean. Has 7 beds so we brought a couple air mattress so we didn’t have to bunk with a buddy. plenty of space for that. location is right on the main drag which was what i wanted as we rode our bikes to cherhola,tail of dragon,foothills parkway and every wrong turn. Didn’t use the hot tub but heard it running. ac worked great. was able to park 3 trucks and trailers. I highly recommend this place and will return next time down that way. Price was great too.

Our stay was scheduled for one of the worst winter weather spells our region had seen in a long time. We had originaly booked another cabin. Carolina Vacation rentals reached out to us ahead of arrival and explained that our booked cabin may not be accessible due to the snow and ice and that he had a "backup " cabin ready to go. We tried and could not reach the first cabin, so we checked into "Heart of the Valley" which was a free upgrade. Clean spacious cabin that stayed toasty even in sub-zero weather. the only reason I wouldn't reccomend this spot is if you want privacy. It is right in the middle of town on the main drag and convienent to everything, just not secluded. Huge thank you to Carolina Vacations for taking such good care of us. I would definately stay here again.

The cabin was in a great location with everything nearby. It was clean and spacious. Our group usually stays in different motels around the area but the cabin provided a place we could all stay under the same roof which gave us the chance for more and better socializing.
We will definitely consider staying there again.

Over all we were very happy with our stay. The location was very convenient to everything being it was it was in the center of Maggie Valley. Having five bedrooms was a definite plus for everyone and parking was easy. Things that need improvement are - pots and pans in kitchen have definitely seen their day, lighting up stairs over the pool table is very poor and lastly the front bedroom (1st floor could use a new mattress, when you lie down you roll towards the middle. Overall everyone was very happy with the accommodations and would absolutely use this property again.

This is our 2nd year staying at the "Heart of the Valley". The space is very accommodating for large groups/families. The front porch is one of our favorite spots. The location is perfect. Some restaurants and shops are within walking distance. We are looking forward to staying again in 2024.

Great location, easy access to scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, many other locations as well as access to the wedding Venue in Asheville. Walking distance from shopping & restaurants, small town coziness, weather was perfect for all things outdoors. Will definitely stay again.

Pretty nice set up. The kitchen is very minimally stocked (we had to go but our own dish towels). There is no dishwasher which is fine but they don’t supply a dish rack. Probably nice for most people but it was just too loud being right off the main drag. The biggest thing was the hot tub wasn’t functional, we were not informed of this by the rental company.

The best thing about this property was the ease of doing fun things together at the house. We watched the World Cup final on the TV, played billiards, and enjoyed the hot tub. It was a great stay.

We booked this property back in September for a December stay. The day before our trip we noticed a recent review saying the property had bed bugs. We called the property manager and they confirmed while there was a case, they had taken all the necessary steps to remedy the situation. I can confirm they did just that, no bed bugs in sight! We had a great stay at the cabin for the weekend. It was perfect to accommodate three different families and all of our kids.

We had the absolute best time while we stayed at Heart of the Valley. It was absolutely perfect for our extended family. The Cabin was absolutely perfect. It is exactly what is described. We enjoyed being within walking distance to so many things in the Valley. The carpet golf next door was a fun and convenient add on to end ever day. Fun and affordable. We met some of the nicest people. Everyone in the Valley was so kind and helpful. The Cabin owners were amazing. We have decided to make this our yearly spot. It is a gem.

Was a spectacular place to stay, cabin was clean, accommodations were perfect, management was spectacular, can’t say enough.
Loved the hot tub and the two kitchens were perfect since we travel in a group!

I've stayed in enough VRBOs to tell which property owners go the extra mile because they're thinking about you and which ones provide the minimum in order to maximize profits because they're thinking about themselves; I'd say that Carolina Vacations fits the latter description more than the former. When you arrive at your VRBO after a day of driving you want to just be able to kick your shoes off and relax and not have to worry about going out again for any "essentials." Good thing we brought our own toilet paper, because Carolina Vacations didn't provide any. There were other small things missing that one would expect, especially in the kitchen. Fortunately we were not at the VRBO very much, so, the little disappointments did not have much of an overall impact on our time in South Carolina. My biggest complaint is that this property can sleep at least 10 adults, but there was no dishwasher. When you're on vacation you don't want to be standing at a sink doing dishes if it can be helped. The other thing was that no one could bother to put up a towel bar or hook outside the shower in the downstairs bathroom. Like I said, you can tell ...

We did the Slingshots in the Smokies rally and love the fact that this cabin is so closed to the Fairgrounds. It has plenty of parking and 2 separate living quarters (One downstairs and one upstairs), which allowed everyone to have their space and privacy. Very convenient to ride the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway. Motorcycle, Slingshot, Trailer and Pet friendly!

The property owner was very easy to work with, there was an issue getting to the original cabin we booked due to icy road conditions, but he called and worked it out with us to get a different one that was accessible and big enough for our group. It was a beautiful cabin and would book with again.
