Nice location, modern design. We still had on OK stay despite shortfall, but could have been better

No inverter as mentioned, battery pack could run a TV, but could not open garage door when loadshedding occurred , for the price would expect a decent inverter all the other properties we used on our trip did have Maintenance lacking. - roof leak mai. Bedroom. - Gutter Coming adrift at bbq are. House sleeps six but cutlery etc for 4 people.

Great place but needs a little maintenance

Very spacious property with clean beds and bathrooms

We never met the person to collect the keys despite stating an exact arrival time , he was too busy checking in other guests and we waited for an hour before the security let us in . Many bulbs were blown in the house and the toaster was broken . Mould on main bathroom ceiling .

The property is beautiful and peaceful but could do with a better property management team.

The area is beautiful and the location is quiet which is what we wanted. The house is big and open and offers a fair amount of tranquility.

The main living areas are cold, notably with the flooring being tiled. The pics show a carpet with the couches, but that was not there. We ended up (because it's winter) using the gas fireplace a lot over our 4-night stay which ran out and became an issue with the hosts stating we're using it too quickly. They ended up providing another tank on our last day, but inevitably we could not use it on the last day, for some reason it didn't work. They also suggested they are doing us a favor by topping up the gas (a noted free-to-use amenity as per the listing), "even though we booked a discounted rate", which I find odd. Are they basically saying we should not take advantage of the discounts they provide? At the same time, the following was not considered: Geyser was not on when we arrived, and by nightfall, we wanted to clean up after a long journey and had to wait for it to warm up Pool was dirty and only cleaned on day 3 by gardeners. Inform your guests of external factors like gardening services, who rocked up early in the morning to fetch tools housed at the pool in front of the main bedroom, and scared the living daylights out of us. They collected tools, and came directly onto the property and we had no insight that this happens? Loadshedding in SA is a reality, we had to call the host after 6 pm, and no lights or tools were provided to keep some shred of light up and running during load-shedding which occurred mostly in the evenings, they then delivered some rechargeable lights. No two-point plugs in the entire property, thank goodness I brought some No warm blanks (just inners) or heaters of any sort, hence us using the fireplace more than preferred.
